How do you blush on demand?

I've read characters blush on-demand and I'm just so confused. Is it like crying? You know how some people are able to cry when they want to. So are some people able to blush when they want to? Or is that only in fiction?

 

Maybe they are secretly thinking super lewd thoughts or something to make it happen. I've never known anyone who could do it on command irl, though.

think of what will make you blush, like lewd thoughts or an embarrassing moment ... or better yet ask an actor or actress how they do it ...

 

You would need exquisite control over your facial muscles, to produce enough friction to stimulate heat and redness. Having a pale complexion also help, but that isn't a problem for the light, jade skinned beauties in these novels.

my classmate could do it on demand. she said it had to do with a combination of image training and something about directing heat flow within the body that I didn't really understand. I can't do it but we were all in awe of her skills (she could cry and force herself to start hiccuping as well. worked very well on teachers and the opposite sex)

I guess I could take it as imagining or remembering something?
But the characters I read never did anything physical. So I guess they were thinking about something. What that thing is, we may never know, but it was most likely embarrassing haha

 

Notice that blushing char is never in fear, and frightened char never blush. You can't blush when you are constanly pale because of fear and anxiety.

To blush is to be fearless.

My face only gets red when I'm hot or I've been concentrating too hard.

You can blush on demand when you recall a very embarassing event in your life that would've made you roll over in your grave but you try not to, so the embarrassment shows up on your face.

For example:
That time you tried on your sister's sexy bra and panties and got caught by your sister.
Or walking naked in the house when you were an adult only to realize that your father was at home and he saw you with your privates bouncing in the air.
Or when someone said hi to you and you said hi back but that person was actually saying hi to the person behind you.
