No BL or female protagonist stories. Female protagonist stories are all about perfect dudes. No different from BL. I am only interested in rich woman poor man stories which are endangered. I just dont find the female characters attractive. Reading about a female character getting bullied is not my idea of entertainment. I can read stories about Iran or Saudi Arabia instead Action or adventure preferred to romance. I want a story that will suck me in. A very immersive story is what I am looking for. Pass on tragedies though. Real life is sad enough Cheers!

I'm the Evil Lord of an Intergalactic Empire To Be a Power in the Shadows! Both are upbeat action comedies that are easy to get sucked into. Evil lord starts with a tragedy but it goes by fast. Unfortunately, I think probably every story has a girl getting bullied at some point.

I find To Be a Power in the Shadows to be... Monty Pythonesque maybe. It's its own flavor, some people love it and some people hate it. The only way to know is to try.
or the MC (male or female), but I second both of those, though I ended up dropping shadow as the MC never seemed too bright ( like the lights where on but the bulbs where burning out with no one home ...)
Think about every single girl and their relationship with MC. It's basically a romance novel with some actiony bits in it and a 100% naive protagonist!
Ah, that. Every girl likes him but he's oblivious or maybe just doesn't care. It's a typical and hollow Japanese trope for sure. I don't consider any of that to really be romance though, as it's all one sided. I can see how people would be exasperated by it, but I guess I can just look past it easily.

Let's be sincere, the protagonist is dense. Like "Neutron Star" level of density. He is so delusional he doesn't even know what is really happening and lives a chuunibyou-esque delusion. He is the walking incarnation of chuuni. He doesn't have a communication problem, he simply doesn't communicate. Well, at least when he is dealing with his "harem".
