Today one of the kpop idol's committed suicide, she was only 25. Her articles were always mean (articles written about her), and journalists always enjoyed bashing her, I guess, despite knowing all these I did not do anything particular. I supported her sentiments about feminism and freedom, yet many people didn't, she always trended for stupid reasons, and to see her go like this... I don't know, she was so strong, at least appeared to be, now im feeling guilty for quietly supporting her ideas and never being vocal? I don't know how to explain this feeling Rest in peace Sulli, you were so young its truly a shame to lose you to hate
Suicide is a horrible thing and always makes you stop and think about what had to have happened in that person's life to drive them to that point where to them death was the only relief.
I know, but she was only 25, she was beautiful too, I wish someone close to her was fast enough to stop her Look at her Her only fault was being born pretty, she was too Young to be an idol, yet bcs she was pretty they debuted her too early, its truly shame considering she had no faults
Someone really needs to go undercover into the kpop industry and make a documentary exposing all the horrible shit that happens. The agency she worked at was shit to her and she was semi famous. Imagine what happens to less popular idols. I wouldn't be suprised if there pimped out to rich sponsors. And on top of that you have the really toxic fans who threaten them if they date anyone.
People, especially the media and its mob rule followers, are scum. Its too bad she committed suicide. Whatever her circumstances no one should be harangued like that.
The internet is a dangerous place. We never really think if we're being mean to others, we should always be careful with what we say on internet.
He's right. No one cares. And if she was as bad as you made her out to be, then it really is no big deal. I've known better people who suffered worse. If she was mean to others, then what goes round comes round. You don't like it? Tough, that is the adult world for you. Bunch of rabid dogs biting each other and everyone else.
Well, if you think about it, thousands of lives are claimed each day by war, so a suicide driven by another politics of korean moving side to China, is nothing compared to it. Well, I'm presuming this because china's soft power is real.
RIP Sulli SM really needs to step up and do something about this. F(x) and Shinee were two of their major groups not that long ago and they didn’t care enough to place them into sustainable careers... T-T I don’t stan NCT but just thinking how many young members they have and all the shit they must be going through is...heartbreaking...
It's one of the biggest reasons why I have nothing to do with this stuff. I don't look up a person's history, I don't pay attention to any articles unless it has concrete proof of sick shit like adultery, rape, murder, etc. And I don't think about the industry because I would just get pissed off because ALL of that shit (maybe minus the murder) is basically par the course. I'm pretty content with just liking someone's acting, music or whatever and walking away after it's done.
Heck, based on what I've read about the idol industry in Top Management(I haven't read alot of it tho and that is where most of my idol industry knowledge comes from because I'm not a fan of kpop), it is absolute shit. From gender bias(male idols will always be more popular than females), fierce competition, a shit ton of fake articles, and crazy, toxic female fans. Heck, students kill themselves in Korea if they fail an exam. We LiVe In A sOcIeTy.
Suicide never the answer, it is always sad news knowing some one died because of it, honestly, I don't know her but hope she rests in peace
