Futa is a girl whose sudden male genitalia happens to make them super horny, thus prompting them to
either act or have reactions kind of like a guy's (at least in the mediums I happen to see them in).
I think that's exactly why some (het) guys do like it though : lets them identify with the futa to an extent,
amplifying their derived pleasure. I'm not super into it, but it's not exactly a turn off either. I'd rate it
just slightly under vanilla content (which I don't really "use" much). Reverse futa though, not at all.

3. How would you feel if you were a futanari? If you were suddenly changed, how would you go about your life?
First of all, I wouldn't consider what you described as reverse futa from a guy's perspective. Guy body with reverse genitalia
isn't futa at all imo. Assuming it is though, as I said in response to #1, it'd be a mild inconvenience. I'd have to relearn
various things, but overall as I have no partner and no plans of a partner in the near future, it wouldn't really be a pressing issue.

4. For #plot reasons, you are suddenly coerced to choose between having a forced marriage with a futanari or a reverse-futanari. Which would you pick and why?
I'd go with a futa over what you describe as a reverse futa no doubt. Futa assumes still female mind, just with that horny dick

Reverse Futa... I don't really feel anything positive there... If I turned reverse futa, it would be just bad, and in case of others, I don't really feel much of anything...

Honestly, I can't answer all the questions here. If I received that curse I'd probably be willing to give up the lifetime salary to be turned back, and then probably end up killing either myself, or the demon of a magical girl I received the curse from.

yea, there was that joke "are traps gay" (although they mean is liking traps gay) making the rounds of the internet a few years back. It's hard to say really. As far as anime style traps go, I'd say most of them are drawn to appeal to het guys, therefore being attracted to anime traps doesn't necessarily mean you are gay, especially since they also tend to act super girly as well. Because of that, traps have more draw for me than futas as far as fantasies go (still not one of my top go-tos). As far as reality goes, those who self-label as traps, I don't personally know any irl (so I'm not sure how I'd feel about them "acting feminine") and I also don't think there are many that "pass" visually so to say (although I do have unrealistically high standards to begin with). And guys who crossplay (cross cosplay) interestingly enough tend to self-identify as het males.

And yes, there is a significant chunk of guys who say liking anything with male genitalia = gay. Personally, I've never unwittingly had my eyes follow a guy's assets irl despite being into trap hentai (I've done the whole open mouth almost drool thing a few times with some very attractive ladies on the other hand.... oh the shame!), so I don't really buy that. I think those guys probably have rigid worldviews, and maybe for some of them that's how they truly feel and experience the world (as opposed to being motivated by homophobia or mental self-defense mechanism). It could be THEIR truth. I just don't think it's THE truth.

Well, I'm a woman who likes futanari... But just futanari x female or solo futanari. The rest isn't to my taste.
For me, it's just a fun way of taking some of the traits that are fun about the male body and putting them on a cis woman. I've always liked fluid "gender bending" like this... I think I've been writing something a bit like futanari since long before learning about the genre.
And futa are, by their original definition, supposed to have vaginas, but those without it get labelled futa one way or another anyway. I personally don't care because I like futa to be tops, so...
So it's basically a woman with a female body but some of the fun of a male body, and without bringing trans identity into it. It's a good way to enjoy penises without men!

There are reverse futanari, but they're not very popular. As for why... I guess because they have neither penises nor breasts. Those are usually seen as the big, exciting parts of the human body.

As for why men who don't like men like futanari... I always assumed it was because they still like penises. If you think about it, even though porn usually sexualises the woman, it also places a lot of emphasis on men's penises. A lot of people think there's no satisfaction if there's no male ejaculation, erection, etc.
So I always just assumed it was their way of further enjoying their love of penises while also enjoying women.
