    Recently novelupdates and scribblehub is flooding with yaoi novels.
    So is there any particular reason for it?

    Probably because before there used to be people who would rate these novels 1 star all the time which hurt translator confidence (even if they knew what was going on). Since, Tony has cleared those up so that helped spur some confidence thus resulted in a boom of translations.

    Moral of the story, don't 1 star things just because it happens to offend you because it harms the community at large. Don't want to see it? Then just filter those tags from your release page.

    I filtered yaoi bl and shounen ai.

    No problems here.
    What i dont like is yaoi being flooded on the hentai doujin site that i visit.
    Fucking yaoi + muscle fetish fans.

    I guess it's just the flavor of the month, along with the hundred flavors of "I died and reincarnated as the antagonist of an otome game", which is also booming lately.

    Why do you need to filter it in search page? You usually search for a specific thing anyways. Otherwise you can filter it in series finder.

    It's a bit more work but you can do that via series finder. But if you are too lazy, you can create a suggestion in the suggestion forum and I'm sure Tony will fix it quickly sometime within the next 20 years.
