What do you suggest as a cultivation novel, for a beginner?

My first novel was "grand master of Demonic Cultivation" . So I'm not easy to satisfy. I also read "Scum Villain Self saving system" and some chapters of "I shall Seal the heavens"
What's your favorite novel? Please summariz, explain your reason, and name its other genres (in addition to cultivation, it is fantasy, romance, or horrible, or mystery, etc

Reverend insanity, because it is one of the best cultivation novel out there.

 

Reverend Insanity, this is a good novel to reflect one's own perspective over life and cultivation.
Jade Dynasty, a classic amongst countless cultivation novel and a good starter to begin with if you're searching for something that's not just endless power ups.

 

I think something easy to read and understand, add to that it must contain comedy and explain some tropes, it must also be captivating a bit as well as not biased (this is my opinion or what I think should be accepted as a suggesion to a cultivation novel, for a beginner): Chat GroupCultivation

I know many people who would disagree with you. Plenty of readers hated it. Though, personally I found it to be ok.

You see, there is a problem here. Good novel for a beginner and favorite novels are not always the same. For example, Reverend Insanity is a good novel, though not a good one for a beginner. For example, from my top 5 or 10, most novels would be a bad choice for beginners.
If you want a good beginners novel, Coiling Dragon is probably the best choice.

Record of Mortals Journey to Immortality
Well thought out and well written novel . The only downside is no romance and pace is slower than normal
Sovereign of Three Realms and Upgrade Specialist in Another World : Both r pretty generic but still tolerable and fine works
Crazy Leveling System : Again a generic story good for beginners
For Recommendations:
Reverend Insanity : Easily one of the best novels available with a great take on cultivation
History's Number 1 Founder : Again a great novel with very well written and thought out world and story . It is pretty underestimated most of the time and looked over but it's actually very good .
U know there is a difference between good for beginners and good in general that's why I distinguished them . What is good in general is not good for beginners (most of the time )

 

Already saw Reverend Insanity in others comments but still going to recommend that. I like it because I was reading about a evil guy in every sense of the world. He does what he needs to do to survive and achieve his dream of reaching the appex, and there is nothing he will not do to get the edge that will help him. He bows towards a Young master- like character just because he don't want the problem that will come with pissing the young man.
And the cultivation system is awesome, a resume is that humans can only create energy inside theirs body, to be able to use this energy they need to slave a certain being made either from nature or human hands, this beings contain skills and the human erase the mind of this being and give it the enrgy it cultivate to use the skill from the being. It have myriad of forms and skiil, Fire breath, recording of sound and/ images, making ones skin be like stone for a moment or to transform the body as if it was copper, iron or silver. This makes the cultivator needing to be so much smart and think how to use the beings called gus.

And Divine Throne of Primordial Blood where the mc create a path for humans without a beast bloodline to cultivate into higher states of cultivations, the beast bloodline gives a better control of the energy and more vitally which helps to progress in cultivation more easy and is the reason it is the main path of humanity. Mc follow the same stages but makes so that there is only a need for human blood to progress and show that humanity has unlimeted potential making it able to use either fire or ice skill instead of the limitations that having a fire beast blood gives you. And mc power is based in the knowldge he adquire, he expirement and study to create skills and methods for the whole world.

Those two are two that I really enjoy reading and never made me stop reading them because of cliches always repeating thenselfs.

Ancient Godly Monarch, Very underrated cultivation novel, literally no one talks about it and not to mention it has my favorite arc in any novel.

 

Transcending the Nine Heavens.

I think this is a good novel. With a small harem,

Low plane at beginning, (where is a small world)
Middle plane at middle of the novel

Only, two or three technique from mc at beginning, and for me is easy to read.

 

Heavenly jewelry change, its really just a role model for other novels to follow. Cultivation isn't rushed and the harem is on the better end of the spectrum except for maybe 1 girl. There is no "upper world" or higher ream Mc goes to ( there is a realm of gods but they don't interact so mc decides theres no point in going)

The story isn't just nonstop fighting there is more to it then just punches. Its a little below 1k chapters so its a light read compared to the rest. ( its complete)

I'm currently reading book of sin and its honestly one of If not the best novel I've read but its not complete. (I also saw someone recommend reverand insanity which is also a good one but from what I remember its on hiatus so I personally didn't bother too far into it)

 

My first novel was "Tales of demons and gods" and i loved it, till i discovered that now the author public one chapter for month, another one that i love is "against the gods"; the other one that i suggest you is "martial god asura".
I've started recently; indeed i was writing here to gain the privileges to open a thread for some suggestion, since i tried to read some other(like "coiling dragon" and "desolate era") but i dropped them.

 

I'd recommend Library of Heaven's Path for beginners, build up a stock of positive funny feelings before diving into anything with Chinese nationalism or racism. If you do the reverse, it might turn you off from CN novels forever so it is important to "bring some armor" as you might say and read some novels that don't give you a bad impression first.

Good point, but I was afraid of him going the other way and reading some of the really bad nationalistic or racist stuff first and get so turned off he never returns. A Will Eternal or I Shall Seal the Heavens?
