    1. Lost a lot of good people in the KyoAni fire.
    2. Try watching the non-mainsteeam anime instead of only what appeals to your demographic, and you might have a different opinion about the state of anime. I.e. try avoiding all anime tagged "shounen" or "isekai" for one season while viewing everything else and see if you change your perspective. (Specifically, try josei, mecha, school life, mystery, sports and kodomo rather than isekai genres and see how that turns out)

Well, honestly speaking, I haven't watched any of the new animes for a really long time because most anime ongoing are mostly adaptions of the manga work which I have already read. So watching the anime feels redundant and sometimes the adaption even makes the story more terrible than what is shown in the manga. Just like HP movie adaptions of 7th books.

But anime will never die out because otakus are everywhere around the world. Plus there's still good animes out there with great plot like Natsume Yuujinchou Season 7 that I've been anticipating for so long

Don't think so. Isn't most what got adapted chosen through the popularity poll or something. Unless all the show produced with bad marketing, bad casting va or just plain horrible animation i doubt it will stop.
People say microtransaction is bad, but EA still lives.

Don't want to read because I'm lazy but the new anime called "The Hero is Overpowered but Overly Cautious" is good. Yes, there's still some good anime.

As for dying, I think what's dying right now is original anime. Almost all anime nowadays is an adaptation.

That's kind of true. Like all industries, there are sudden spikes in interest and good shows followed by periods of generics and copies so I really don't see it as a one shot "dying", just at this point in time, there isn't a real "eureka!!" show that breaks the common paradigm. After all, if compared to something like games, not every game can be a C&C or Witcher or Starcraft, these things only come once in a blue moon. Same as anime, not often do you get a Code Geas or Legends of the Legendary Heroes or Tiger and Bunny or Psychopass. Or SukaSuka...sob sob.

It's just a low period where someone has not come up with something really creative yet.

Your shock is a decade late.
It's been like this for years and then fanboys have been single handedly maintaining it in Japan
With Amazon and Netflix investing, it will survive no matter what but it might take a while.
Netflix is just in a race to increase their content library. So it's quantity over quality for now and Netflix doesn't seem to have any say in the content.
Fans can also fund their productions using kickstarter and the likes.
    With 3D animation becoming mainstream

I pretty much stopped watching. There just aren't any series that I want to invest time in anymore. I've gone from watching mostly every series to watching maybe one or two. Some of that is because my tastes have changed. I just prefer Chinese MC's to Japanese these days. One of the things I liked about Mahouka was that the MC wasn't your typical Japanese Beta male. Quality seems to have really tanked too.

My guess as a user is that there's not enough money in it anymore so, its all made as cheaply as possible so everything suffers. I suspect piracy had sucked most of the profits out of the industry.

There are a few good series worth watching this season. Better than last season probably.

    Shinchou Yuusha is good
    Ore wo Suki is watchable
    No Guns Life is watchable
    Marimashita Iruma Kun is watchable
    Chihayafuru is good
    Honzuki no Geoujou is AotS
High Score Girl is very good
    Dr. Stone is good
    Hataage Kemono Michi is good

Everything else is pretty much garbage except maybe Beastars, but it's too political and I can't watch it
