Is there any spaceship game with easy control, let say, just one key to auto-follow enemies to that we only need to concentrate on shooting and managing shield aspect? Cause my reflexes is not what they used to be... Preferably not need to remember 20+ keys just to control the ship... I remember Freelancer being that easy...
No Man's Sky has relatively simple flight controls, I think? But if you want something super simple I guess you're probably looking for an old Space Invasion with just right/left movement and shooting. Maybe an Asteroids game? Here: https://www.kongregate.com/games/noloosely/space-invasion Random Space Invasion game I found through google. Play it 'til you get bored.
Rebel Galaxy - Its basically just steer and shoot. Its more like naval warfare than freespace though with side mounted cannons and the like.
I almost crashed a $2,500 drone (the schools camera drone) because a mate thought it would be hilarious to shoot it out of the sky with a paintball gun... needless to say good thing it only needs 4/6 props to fly.
My personal suggestion: Galaxy On Fire. The Original is very easy to control, although the last mission basicly near-impposible for you if you attempt to do "the ussual part". But after that, enjoy your freelance world that navigate is as easy as ever. Availiable on iOS & Symbian OS. The 1st sequel (as well as it expansions) named Galaxy On Fire 2, is more focus on realistic side of thing, with extension of market, crafting, mining & traveling. Probably the best sequel you can have. Freemium on iOS, Android and campain-locked on PC & Symbian( as Symbian simply can't support extended contents, while PC expansions was fully leaked by certain youtuber and it expansion was then canned. 2nd sequels is a hit-or-miss with cash grab shenanigan. Sure you can choose to pay for the whole campgain with 12$, or grinding your arses out bit by bit and took almost 1 & a half year later to beat the game. Noted that pay for campgain is not availiable pre May 2019 and it still cash-grab littered with Microtransactions & loot boxes. But the graphic improved though. Note that they have dedicated into 3 section: Left, center & right. On GOF 2, 1 joystick & pause menu on the left, adjust cam in free view & speed in 3rd person, and right primarily for weapons & sub-menu. Or you can get rid of the joystick with Gyrometter intergrated in your device( this feature aslo availiable in all GOF main game, not it spin-off and now-removed from store GOF:Alliances). . Yep, my suggestion is that. Play it, and you'll find the 1st sequels is better than the rest, trust me XD . P/S: for some Odds reason, iOS have both SD & HD version of the game. As i don't use iOS so i can't tell the different between the 2 version =3=
"Descent: Freespace" and the sequel "Freespace 2". Very good space-combat game that took flag after Wing Commander series just die. Although it ages rather bad, but last I checked and played some years ago there were HD packs and conversions that it made playable today. After all, series about 20 years old. It's a pity that Volition forgot about this franchise.
I think I'll get this after I got my salary. Thanks, Ai Chan. Did you do a voice acting for this game?
Played and completed with keyboard and mouse. Didn't even get a chance to play with any type of controllers. The control scheme was quite simple too.
