I've heard that Xiao zhan did an indepth character analysis of Wei Ying. It was suggested this might have been posted to his weibo. I don't know if someone translated it but if so, does anyone know where to find it if this exists?

I was able to find it. I really liked it. I wondered if they had actually read the novel. I know they cannot outright admit to it with China's censorship laws. This defiantly shows that he read it which I'm happy about.
so director said right.. and cast has also said in itnerviews that almost everyone has read the novel.. except yibo was a kid , so he probably read the non r rated one .. the directorial team made them read it
Really? Oh. The only info I found was on Tumblr where someone said it was an open secret that they read it but not something they could admit to or be directly asked by interviewers. I want to see one of these interviews. It's really so I can revel in knowing these innocent looking male leads ready a gay novel and the gay couple is them.

All this talk about CQL going on Netflix is quite surprising, but in a good way. I hope that one day it will be aired on the TVB (Hong Kong) Channel, since I have that at home, this will also give my parents a reason to watch CQL And I found this one (sharing with you guys in here), is apparently really cute/adorable from Xiao Zhan and Wang Yibo (off-screen) XD Source
What? Really? Wang Yi Bo? I do like it when they leave out the BL parts. In the novel some of LZ's BL actions are so hard for me to picture it. And if we compare the live action and novel, it is easier to understand the whole story from live action (maybe because I read the novel so many times). Well done for the live action
The last part of ur comment Xiao Zhan definetly understand Wei Ying's feeling toward Lan Zhan. In one of the interviews he said that Lan Zhan should be the only one who cant oppose him, even if everyone in the world oppose him. Isnt that also what Wei Ying wish for? He wished Jiang Cheng will be the one who stand by his side, but Jiang Cheng lost too many precious people for him to understand WY... aaarghh.. damn.. so many angst in the story..
