Oh, and then there are ofc Finnish ones, but lyrics wouldn't be in English so I'm omitting those.

Well, I'll put a couple with blurbs to give some idea.

A song about a fairy's pleas for help not being taken seriously before she killed herself.

A song about father leaving family to Sweden, mother dying desolate due to it, the freezing house, brother crying drunk because of it all and "snow making an angel on the porch".

About a loved girl committing suicide, this one has English lyrics.

    So yeah, normal stuff.

Since everybody is giving you pop songs and modern stuff and whatnot. Let me give you some good ol' classical music, the type of music that's considered to be the PEAK of mellow music!
(...actually, all I know are classical music. lol)

I personally prefer Itzhak Perlman's interpretation of Bach's Chaconne (I've linked the chaconne part so if you wanna listen to this interpretation just click here) that he played at Saint John's Smith Square in London. But he played the whole Partita in D minor (the piece that Chaconne is a part of...classical music tends to be very long) and most people I know say Hilary Hahn's version is better since it's clearer and has a better recording quality and she stays true to the scores. (But both are beyond amazing, they are both world class violinists after all.)
The whole partita is amazing, but Chaconne is the part for which this piece is considered to be the peak of violin solos. And movements in classical music can act as individual pieces too. Just imagine five songs in an album, Chaconne being the final and best song out of that album. So I recommend listening to just Chaconne first.

BTW, the piano sonata I linked is the second movement of three movements. It's also one of Beethoven's greatest piano sonatas and that second movement is quite a beloved piece among classical musicians. I personally consider it to be the best slow or soft piece to ever exist. Classical music is kinda anime if you think about it, the pieces these famous composers write get titled Sonata no. 1 or Symphony no. 9, etc. But the truly legendary pieces that blew people away get special titles sometimes. Like this piece which is nicknamed sonata "pathetique". (Also, the even more legendary ones monopolize existing titles. Like, canon is style of composition, chaconne is too. But Canon in D and Bach's Chaconne is so big that they monopolized those titles even though it's supposed to be a style of composition. Now if you say Canon or Chaconne, people will naturally assume you're talking about those two pieces, not the general style of composition. Imagine if there was a sonata so amazing that just saying sonata will make people assume you're talking about one particular piece, but sadly there are too many great sonatas and symphonies to give those titles away. That's why they're given special titles like Moonlight Sonata or Sonata Pathetique.)

Sorry, I get too carried away when I'm talking about stuff I enjoy and know a lot about...like gender bender novels and classical music. (I realize that's a weird combination of interests now that I write it out.)
