I love reading novels where MC is like what the title of the thread is, a CALCULATIVE Sh*t at the moment~ It can be either Xianxia/Wuxia/Fantasy/Adventure etc. (But I think CN cultivation novel has more of those guys) ~ So what is a CALCULATIVE Sh*t for me; Plans if necessary but can take risk if forced back in a corner (not indecisive nor a p*ssy) Has a certain 'logic' and the answer doesn't come out of nowhere Not an emotional brat that will go in a rampage if his tails are ruffled. MC can immerse in acting to fool others. No eternal enemies, only eternal benefits ~ (also tries to remove possible dangers if given the chance) If a plus if the story is; MC doesn't always 'win'. Has certain setbacks and thrill that can make readers anticipate what the sh*t is going on MC isn't motivated to do things because of revenge or hatred Has a goal on giving information (not just fillers that will fill almost half a chapter for an item that isn't even related to the plot and will never appear) HOPING FOR AN AMAZING WORLD BUILDING AND AMAZING CHARACTERS THAT ISN'T ONE SIDED. Also if you have extra time in your side, give a brief description why you think that novel you have suggested is fit in the criteria I am hoping to find.
Trash of the Counts Family? (he's an unreliable narrator so it takes a little while to realize just how manipulative and calculating he is though)
Yeah ~ that was pretty neat to read but the ending is kinda anti climactic •-• AI Crip becoming the main lead. Still thanks for the suggestion
Probably I think? More like a deep schemer of sorts which he plans to use various opportunities and factors for his benefit of sorts.
Surprised that no one mentioned Reverend Insanity yet. Also, Silent Crown is a good read too if you love excellent world-building.
a hero's war on royalroad Not entirely sure if this is what you want since he never fights himself, but considering the part you put in all caps i figured i'd recommend it. Mc basically induces a magical/steampunk industrial revolution in a fantasy world that is currently under attack by a type of zombie (kinda like the white walkers in GOT). Whenever something is invented, the thought process is explained, and (as things go in development) there are plenty of failures/setbacks
Try He Who Fights With Monsters over in Scribble Hub. It doesn’t seem that way right at the start, but the MC is quite the schemer. While also being way too impulsive.
Right... I forgot that one •-• I stopped around 20-30 chapters for who knows what may be my reason back then but I have been suggested that it was good ~ thanks.
I second this story, I like development in this fantasy setting. Have you ever read Tales of Paul Twister series? It have same development but on slower progress and the story put more emphasis adventure of MC.
Lord of the Mysteries and Throne of Magical Arcana fits your requirement or atleast most of them.. - Logical MC check - MC with good acting skills check - not really a revenge driven mc check - amazing world building and characters double check they might be slow in the first few chapters but got really interesting later on
