Turns out that pacific novels was lying this whole time and the C&D they threatened Wanderer with was also fake. @A_Passing_Wanderer so you didn't have to stop when they yelled at you before. WW's announcement gives the backstory at this link so check it out https://www.wuxiaworld.com/announcement/everlasting-gluttony-descends-on-wuxiaworld but considering the wave of C&D's the actual license holder sent out to various pirating sites you would have had a chance to actually work with the company if not for pacific yelling at you.

doubt that they kept money from fudge, but them not explaining the situation clearly is a complete dick move.

    Just noticed WW new announcements.

Never thought pacific novels were these kinds of people, but now they're on my shit list.

For now they're putting the already translated chapters up (until 160), and new ones will be after they sign some licensing documents another 2-3 weeks.

If you want to reread the novel, now might be a good time.

It was fishy from the outset. Given how they had no way to recoup the costs.
How does Wuxiaworld make money? It is very obvious, through subscriptions
    Same with webnovel.com
It is a red flag when you dont see how they make money. Patreon wont cover licensing costs
They seemed more interested in "Novel Updates Forum Street Cred" than doing business.
The point is this, I made it clear to people that there is no way any company will just offer free to read with zero means of monetizing.
This community mocks those who are realistic and believe that businesses have to be sustainable
Some websites are sustained through kind words eg Yoraikun
but hey, what do I know?
Seriously, I feel bad for those who donated.

at this point, there's no need to even acknowledge his existence, its like fanning a fire, literally no point, if we dont reply, then he goes away.

Stop killing any chance good novels have of getting translated by competent people. Can't trust anything you've put out.

sometimes its nice to take the bait and flame things up
I shall agree on the sayings that 'free stuffs are the most' or in other words, free stuffs are shady as heck
like for example people who approached you for a great business deal where its 100% fail-proof & 100% guaranteed profit.
When its too good to be true, thats where your alarm bell should go off,
If its that great why would they share it with you? why don't they do it themselves? whats in there for them?
for the sake of your wise words i shall let you and your website off for today

It's good to hear that the novel will find a stable - read "real" - home now. As far as I'm concerned, folks at Pacific (or as they were known previously, Whale Translation) can burn in hell. :ROFLMAO:

I kind of feel sorry for those who pledged in Patreon for these asshats, though.

A majority of the Patreon money went to me, and the portion that did go to PN probably got spent on reimbursing Breathe for damages + new website so there's some justice!

I'd like to say that patreon and donation stuff is really recent.
I believe it started when RWX was doing CD and he would do an additionnal chapter for each 40$. At the end it was so scary there was like 2000$ in the pool.
It's at this moment i think every one noticed that translating could make A LOT of money. The translated novel litterally exploded every where.
Then when webnovel saw how much they could make, they started their policy of threatening the translator and poaching webnovel right and left.

I miss the period where asian novels weren't popular and translator where doing it for fun :(

Did Pacific novels get striked down?
    Can't access their website anymore.
Probably too shame to even take the consequences.
