Not quite. It's explained in more detail in later (already translated) chapters.

I wonder if he's just going to break her out and run for it, frame someone else for the murder, break her out and activate her soul board to ramp up her stealth, or break her out and alter her appearance in some way. Honestly, running for it seems like the least likely one with the amount of time they've spent on local side characters that haven't done much yet. There's also a current lack of good people to frame for it, so I'm leaning towards him breaking her out and activating her soul board to give her the ability to hide herself.

Its feeling like just the ability to allocate all of his points is already OP, even if he couldn't max anything or even distribute more than one point to anything.

While I do think he's going to activate her soul board and give her some stealth, I'm also not sold on him not running for it with her. I think he may stay in the town a bit longer to get some training/advice from Unken, but then he's outta there. He's already stated he wants to see the world, he doesn't want to stick around this town, and he pretty much dislikes/hates everyone in the adventurer's guild outside of Unken for good reason. I also can easily see Unken, Jill, and even the thieves' guild leader showing up in other towns down the road (the only side characters that have really had enough time vested in them to be re-occurring.)

I do expect a funny scene between Miss Lavia (our silver haired heroine who we expect jail broken) and the cat girl hotel receptionist (whom I don't think has been named yet.)

It's stupidly OP. And I mean stupidly OP in comparison to the fact that it's an isekai with a MC with a stupidly OP system. Admittedly not the worst I've ever written, but still good for destroying any hope of suspense in the novel.

It seems kinda insulting to both the sun and stealth gods to be wearing the sun god's mask while using the stealth god's title and skills.

Couldn't he have just stood in the corner? There'd be a pretty good chance of them not bumping into him if the corridor wasn't super narrow. And if it didn't work, he could just go back to the "kill them" plan before they realized what they'd hit.

Well, if the guildmaster is actually a good person, then confessing to the count's murder is probably all it would take to get the girl freed. He wouldn't even need to do it in person really. He could just post fliers throughout the town.

There’s no way they’re going to let her off, to turn her into a weapon.

They don't have to. The guildmaster just has to release the seals on her. She's more than capable of leaving under her own power after that. That's why I specified that the guildmaster would need to be a good person. If he's just one of the king's cronies with no moral compass to speak of, then yeah, the MC confessing wouldn't do any good at all.

Even if he was a nice guy, the King could always say “National Interests”. Using her to clear the kingdom’s enemies, or subjugate monsters..

Or just threaten his family. :(

The king's being needlessly complicated in a way that could potentially blow up in his face. Be much easier to make her his ward since she's now orphaned nobility, and then just use that as a justification to draft her.

Well, he doesn't have to admit to releasing the seals. He can just pretend that they vanished on their own and he doesn't understand how. Then he can just pretend to research the issue with extreme fervor while actually researching whatever it is that he normally researches. He's got a very good reputation, connections and political power. So, without strong proof of his guilt, it would be difficult to really go after him without there being major backlash. It simply wouldn't be worth it. I'm not saying that the guildmaster wouldn't suffer for it in a variety of ways, just that it wouldn't be anything he couldn't deal with if his conscience was stronger than his ambition.

That would be much slower since he'd have to wait for her to grow up. Child soldiers are much more acceptable when they're convicted murderers whose victims were their own family members, than when they're poor orphans you've promised to guard and care for after their abusive parents were murdered by some vigilante. Honestly, if the king didn't care about such things, then he probably would have enslaved her years ago.

We have absolutely no evidence that the guild master would act ethically. None. All we have is her statement that the guild master is a good person. How would she know? If he is a good person, wouldn’t he at least talk to her? As he has yet to act to save her, or even talk to her, given he has to know something about the real motives of the King, he cannot be trusted.

    Better to rely on yourself.

I actually think the best idea is to assassinate the guild master. Given my reasoning above he’s at best a silent accomplice.

Right, which is why I said "if". That said, posting confessions all over the city doesn't actually cost him anything. Its not like he'd be revealing his identity. Heck, if he wanted to, he could even claim responsibility using the dead guy's identity. He had ample reason to kill the count, and no one other than the assassin that killed him knows he's dead.

Seriously? Not only do they decide to sacrifice one of the girls, they picked the healer? Do they not even want to survive the trip home?

I wonder why he didn't escort them back to town. There's a good chance those adventurers are waiting to ambush them after all.

I'm not sure what his original plan was, but with that many points, he could just max out Group Stealth and get her out that way. It would reveal a lot less of his secrets than messing with her soul board. Alternatively, he could try learning magic. A single sleep spell would go a very long way, especially if he ramped up his magic related stats a bit.
