The odd job offering for today is to be an office worker on a cruise ship.

Specifically, there is the odd loophole in international tax laws, and our transnational investment company found it most convenient to well... be "truly" transnational. All of our company operations occur entirely on international waters.

If you are familiar with the banking and finance industry at all, it is normal for industry employees to work 80+ hours per week. Incidentally, our company has the same expectation.

You will be required to work a minimum of 90 hours per week.

Our cruise ship has highly sophisticated biometric and keycard access to every room. It has many luxury amenities (typical to any leisure cruise ship: all-you-can-eat-buffets, swimming pools, movie theater, entertainment area, etc, etc, etc.) that you may use whenever you like.

However, if you fail to work 90 hours a week, we will gradually revoke your privileges to various rooms. If you ever drop below 45 hours per week, we will lock you inside your office, remove unnecessary distractions, and make sure you catch up on your hours.

Aside from door/lock/room control, your contract states that the company will not take any other physical punitive measures against you. You will not be mistreated through any direct means, and every room restriction will come with a clear and fair explanation in the company handbook for why the door was locked and how it can be restored.

The work term is one year. If you agree to the contract, it cannot be revoked without a breach of contract until after a year.

I prefer to work for a living.

P.S. No amount of pay/modern amenities can make up for constant supervision, lack of freedom and such deadly work schedule. Even 1 yr would be too much.

No. Cuz even gaming is stressful. Me taking a 30 mins nap is also stressful. Shitting is stressful.

Where do I find that agency

90 hours weekly or 13 daily would be harsh on commute and stuff, but a cruise ship means everything is within walking distance. It's usually less on work time and more on having no time left to do anything outside work. 11 hours pure off time isn't that bad, even after 8 hours cut for sleep and self-care. I've had less.

On normal commute, though? Maybe not. Two hours to go to and return from work and you're miserable by the time you get home.
