Discussion What would be the reaction of revealing?

I never saw a MC reveal to people or to his waifu(s) that he got a system. So i wondered. What do you think would be the reaction of the girl(s) if the system is revealed of a OP or rich (because of copying Earth stuffs) MC ?

Stay with him despite the lies ?
Or broke up because everything about MC is fake ?

80% would surely stay with him. 90% if you think that her feelings are already too deep for MC. Another reason to stay is because of the money. Another reason would be because MC is kind.

The remaining 10% is surely for authors that would like the "drama" route.

 

U talk as if the waifus hv any personality or independence beyond contributing to the MC's harem.

They exist solely for the MC's pleasure, so they obviously stay.

 

Most system setting is either can't tell other about it or death kind of thing from what I read

Bah, it was just a "system". I was hoping that this would be a thread about streaking.

 

I think at the end of History’s Strongest Senior Brother the MC's family and whatnot find out that the MC is not actually who they think he is. That he is a transmigrator from Earth. They still care for him because they know he is on their side and what happened wasn't through his own intentions, but he is not their son either. I haven't read it till there yet (the translations haven't caught up) but I know it's coming.

Then there's My Entire Class Was Summoned to Another World except for Me. Its a cliche novel, but it matches what you said. The female lead and the MC's little sister find out about how he got his cheat skills, and as you'd expect, nothing changes.

Also, The Lazy Swordmaster. Not only does the FL find out about his past, she goes through his entire memory. But she still sticks to him, never leaving him. Honestly, she is the best character in that novel. Would've been much better if she was the MC instead. She has the qualities of a very good protagonist. I just feel that someone with more emotions and reactions like her would've had a far better PoV for that story rather than having a depressed mentally ill teenager that has PTSD.

What about Observation Record of a Self-proclaimed Villainess’ Fiance? Does this count? It's a 'Reincarnated as Villainess' novel. Right from the very first chapter the MC enthusiastically informs the ML that she is from another world and that she is currently a villainess and that they're in a game where the ML is a capture target. The ML thinks she is crazy at first but slowly her words start of match the events and he starts to believe her. And he still falls in love with her even after knowing all that.

According to these novels...they all stay. So there you have your answer.

 

This highly depends on several questions:

0. Who is the author and what are their intentions?

1. Do the waifus even have enough personality to care?

2. Does the system mind-f*ck the waifus too much for them to care?

3. How does the MC treat his waifus? As real, breathing women or just as system-quests?

4. Do the waifus consider the system as some sort of ultimate stalking tool or not?

5. Do the waifus date the MC with his system or the system with its MC?

Pretty sure I've seen it. Like Book Eating magician. Their reactions weren't that grand because well, actions speak for themselves. It doesn't matter if you cheated your way through, what matters is what you did with those cheats.

Death march also tells them. Their reactions were "we figured"

Plus, at end of the day, lets be honest, if the MC of a novel admitted to being a serial rapist, and told a girl they don't love them and only using them as an object. They would still be part of his harem. Cause, they are an MC, an existence so central that even if the MC is some average person no one bothered with in their real life, but suddenly everyone drops their lives to join them in their harem.
