Looking for novels (translated, fanfics, quests) with some feel-good romance and/or friendships and that focuses on a more lax slice-of-life element. Doesn't need to be full slice-of-life, I just want it to focus on the characters, their interactions, etc. with some daily fun without always being about progressing the plot or conflicts. Just want some worry-free reads. No frustrating characters or drama.
Cultivation Chat Group, maybe? I mean, like 90% of the novel is about the goofy relationships between different cultivators, and their interactions. Not exactly what you're looking for, but I feel like it's on the edge. Def no worries or drama; it's a darn comedy.
what's quest? I only know those in game context https://www.novelupdates.com/series/at-the-northern-fort/ https://www.novelupdates.com/series...kyou-yometachi-to-sugosu-ki-mama-na-seikatsu/
The Record of Unusual Creatures, it definitely focuses a lot on the characters and their interactions. In my opinion, this is exactly what you are looking for. However, it starts slow and is a QI novel, but do give it a try.
https://forums.spacebattles.com/threads/quest-mechanics-introduction-discussion.642898/ A Quest is a storytelling format on forums that allow readers to collectively decide on actions which the author then incorporates or spins into the direction of a story. It's kinda like a tradition CYOA novel but it's the author writing as he goes and the choices are through votes. It also can incorporate elements of role-playing and forum games like luck/action rolls. There's a lot of quests and you don't even need to participate in them. If you're looking for more things to read and have already combed through translations, originals, and fanfics, then you should try reading quests. There's a lot of gem stories out there. The Light of Our Solus (RWBY OC/AU) is one I'm following currently. It's an RWBY fanfic starring an original character that's an eldritch abomination. Martial Arts Master is kind of like this. There is a lot of action, but it's also like a slice of life.
