Some species of animals have sexual dimorphism that is opposite of humans. Male birds, for instance, nearly always have beautiful plumage to attract a mate, whereas female birds have dull plumage to camouflage them to avoid being eaten. Among lions, the male lion is basically useless and sits and sleeps all day (mane too big = overheats), whereas the females do all the hunting. So...

Consider a version of Isekai where you have been reincarnated in a world where human biology is different.

Specifically, men are virtually all pretty boys like hoshi, and they are 30% weaker on average than women. Testosterone basically doesn’t work in this universe.

If you are male, you have been reincarnated into this new kind of body.

Evolutionarily, the function of men was to look pretty to attract a mate, and after a child was born they would take care of the childcare. Culturally, men in this world are responsible for most domestic activities in the household, such as sewing, knitting, cooking, and laundry. They are expected to primarily play a supportive role to their wives.

Politically, men have reduced rights compared to women. A man is the responsibility of his parents until he is married, and after he is married, he is the responsibility of his wife. It is possible for a woman to divorce a man, but not possible for a man to divorce a woman. Etc. Etc. Etc. Etc. All of us know this history.

Women, in contrast, take the role of men in this universe. Women are discouraged from being emotional, and they are valued for their courage, decisiveness, and strength. There is much less emphasis on female beauty and pragmatism is valued.

You are reincarnated into an average human family as a baby in this world. You retain the memories of your past life.

The men’s civil rights movement does not exist in this world yet.

    1. Could you find happiness in this world?

    2. Would you socially or politically campaign for men’s rights in this world? Even if it causes your family/neighbors to frown at you?

    3. Are there any aspects you would like more about this world? Or would you hate it all?

    Kinda depends.
Is it a liberal matriarchal society, or an oppressive/repressive matriarchal society?

I had a Garo classmate once. The Garos are an ethnic group in my country, Bangladesh. They are matriarchal I believe.
Anyway, they're quite peaceful and I really like their lifestyles. I don't really have anything against it if it means I'd be freed from the pressure of society that requires me to be able to support my family in the future.

    1.
That's... a hard question. This depends on Many factors.
I'm not particularly intrrested in politics, so a reduced political weight might be acceptable, for me personally.
I suppose this would include the older gender 'roles'(not tryin' to say anything) - or at least parts of them - such as house spouses and cooking, caring about children, objectification and such.
My immediately biggest problem here would be the caring for children, i imagine. Though, the objevtification could probably end up being a bit much sooner or later as well, I'm not too sure on that since it depends on local culture and my imagination doesnt run deep enough to come up with a full one for such a question xD

But I'd draw the line at arranged marriages. The no divorce thingy would be okay I suppose, since I dont intend on marrying someone before I know we get along well enough, but if I cant decide who, then that'd be... well, a bummer, so to say.

All in all, I probably could find happiness somehow

    2. For myself? No.
It's possible that I'd encounter some strong willed, politically/socially minded males I'd support in such an endeavour, but I wouldn't start it for myself

    3.
Hard to say. Not being expected to do the physical work maybe, or having a shrill voice tell me to get rid of that vile spider, while all I wanna do is save the poor critter

On a larger, more serious scale, I can't tell, honestly. I'd have to see for myself how I react first

Well, the focus of your life will be on getting a wife. If you have a good wife, then your future is secure (assuming they have a stable job).

However, it isn’t always easy to find a wife.

Your parents will drill you into activities that will make you attractive to wives. There are many social expectations you’re expected to learn, and if you fail at any of them, a suitor may not be interested in you — or you could even be divorced.

Can I be a spoiled guy kept by another guy? Or would that not work? I’m already pretty, so if I become 30% prettier, I’d be a sin! ( ^ω^ )

We are already living in unequal world where women in many cases have superior laws in comparison like false claims, child care, who wins rights to become child guardian, career, etc. I would rather be just a pretty girl.

This sounds like "The world of Otome games is tough for mobs". And yes, I'd hate it. I'd probably go ahead and pay someone off to figure out why testosterone isn't doing its job, and then go around making weapons and viruses to use as political leverage for my own peace and well being. I'd also figure out how to get back to looking cool, since looking pretty is just stupid.

That would be a bummer, if i use the inverse of Christian and Islamic societies, as they were (and still are, in the case of Islam) very repressive towards women.
I wouldn't mind an Amazonian-esque society, where men were only good for breeding, but not repressed, but on a fully repressive matriarchy... hell no!

While I can't claim to be absolutely free of sexist thoughts, my preferences (as a male) in descendant order are:
Equal > Patriarchy > Matriarchy > Complete divide of the sexes.

Mainly because I'd like an equal world, but I'd rather have an advantage then a disadvantage.
