Does anyone know of a good summon/cards/pokemon/pet type of fighting novel? without any romance/harem? I read "Long Live Summons!" a few years ago and really loved the concept of it but then the author ruined the story I have also tried reading The Charm of Soul Pets, didn't like it after 200ch.

Didn't read any review but just from looking at the chapter titles, list of pokemon MC will have, etc. I can tell this is pretty meh. MC already doing a gym battle 8 chapters in, oki... That's legit even more rushed than in the games. Unless there's some huge time skips. Essentially, it's set in a Pokemon World where Legendary Pokemon are not just strong Pokemon, they're strong to the point that they're supernatural entities. Forces of nature that wreak havoc on the world almost like gods. So how is Ash to survive on his journey? Excellent story and you can noticably see the author improves as the story progresses. There are just so many epic moments as Ash begins his journey as just a smart rookie and is thrown into the grinder by all the forces of natures he's forced to interact with.
