So, Youtube has a ton of content on it Want to talk politics? Endless hours uploaded each day. Gaming? Cooking? Vacation vlogs? The same. It is both wonderful and overwhelming how much video there is out there. The thing is, as YouTube's algorithm serves up more and more related stuff, sometimes it can navigate you into hyper-focused content that is exactly the thing that you always didn't know that you needed but you did. For me, that was the "Beat Saber players (let's be honest probably guys) that are using motion tracking to replace their bodies with anime avatars and playing at a high level". I was culling my subscriptions and noticed that I had four of these channels in my list. I, of course, kept them all there. In case you are wondering, here are the channels and a representative video: omotea: Probably the best dancer of the bunch, also the most experimental (has a number of other VR games uploaded including Super Hot and Synth Rider). Not always the most accurate hitting the BeatSaber blocks, but fun videos. Spoiler: omotea Artemisblue: Gives omotea a run for their money with their dancing, with a super cute avatar. The video below isn't their most crazy, but it shows off their cuteness: Spoiler: Artemisblue ejiejidayoの気まぐれチャンネル: Sometimes I just want to see a cute avatar slaughter their way through incredibly dense patterns of boxes and still come out the other side with a S or SS score. This is the channel where I can get that. They don't dance or bob to the music much because they don't have the time to do so. Spoiler: ejiejidayoの気まぐれチャンネル チャイロ - Chairo: Probably a defunct channel (boo!), but had the best Darth Maul saber style I was able to find, not just using it like a American Gladiator giant Q-tip. Spoiler: チャイロ - Chairo So, that was the YouTube spiral into niche fandom that I went down. Has anyone else gone down the same path? What other niche corners of YouTube or some other video site do you want to bring others to come see? Also, for those who watched the four videos, out of curiosity which did you like the most?
You know, I didn’t really know I needed this until you recommended it. I liked omotea the best. Thanks for sharing.
ejiejidayoの気まぐれチャンネル I like that fast crazy almost chaotic type the most. The dancing is nice but it looked too easy in comparison. I mean I did like bullet hell games back in the days.
I have to admit that omotea is probably my favorite of them. Out of curiosity, had you come across omotea before this? If so, do you remember how? I ... no longer remember exactly how I got to this corner of the internet Muahaha! That was exactly my reaction to these channels! Augh, darn it. I was so sure that I'd made an interesting but not misleading title. That said ... do you have a set of Niche survival game youtube channels that you watch? Care to share? We can still be on topic I watch omotea for great dances, Artemisblue for healing, and ejieji to be blown away by their skill at this game. ejieji is incredible!
I listen to youtube mixes while I read and it just happens that one of the song I like was playing when I went to save it I noticed beat saber and I had never seen beat saber before it looked fun. and it happens that it very fun to watch beat saber. <-----the song that lead me to the abyss XD
Umm, let's see...Drunkonlive who does Project Zomboid, Kage(random numbers) for 7 Days to Die, another for The Long Dark, but I forgot his name. I think it's weasel something. There might be more, but I can't list them off the top of my head
