Discussion What if a new DragonBall live action movie?

This is but rumours but it seems disney is making a new dragonball live action movie

Disney owns the rights to the other dragonball movie after it bought 20th Century Fox, so if this is an attempt to make a better one (assuming the news are true of course)... well, honestly I can't help but think this might not be a good idea, I remember how excited I was when I heard that there was going to be a 'Dragon Ball Evolution' but that movie turned out bad to say the least

 

With the way Disney’s going, it will be a shot for shot remake.

 

I mean...it is Disney, so if they're willing to fork out the cash for some quality actors, I think it'd work.

If they turn it into a TV series, then god no.

C'mon. Evolution was way worse. At least Avstar put in the effort to choreograph martial arts while fighting

NO. I waited on bated breath for Dragonshit Evogarbage to come out. I've been watching since Dragonball came out and I was excited. I and a close buddy went go see it the day it released. that movie was 85 minutes long. we spent 4 and a half hours immediately following our viewing of the movie to break down exactly what was bad about that movie.

I have only watched one other movie in my life that has made me upset enough to waste the cost of the ticket but we were lucky, his sister worked the theater and got us in for free. I wish she hadn't. I feel like I would have been more inclined to walk out if I had paid for myself.

God I hate that flaming turd bucket of a movie.

I really would prefer my Anime animated, NO MORE LIVE ACTION ANIME MOVIES!!!


who in their right mind thinks "Geeku" is a "funny" or "mean" nickname!? is just fucking stupid. and god bless James Marsters for trying, but his Piccolo just wasn't saving this movie for me.

so no I don't want another one, maybe a new on could be good? chances are though, it'll be shit.

I disagree, evolution is unwatchable and shares NOTHING with its original premise, even if it sucked at least avatar the last shitebender followed it's origins.

 

And Evolution yeeted the whole plot into a raging dumpster fire.
I pray to god no other anime gets live action. There might be decent ones like Alita and Ghost In The Shell(kinda) but the odds that it will be good are so low that I won't even bother wanting one when it's highly likely to be shittier than a public bathroom in a mexican restaurant

Avatar was bearable (I could watch it), Evolution tho was cringey and so bad, really bad to watch I couldn't bear to finish the movie and till this day I can't
