I'm reading Undefeated God of War and the translator kept using the word "congealed". What does a face congealing mean? Dictionary isn't really helping on this.

It's when something loose thickens ^^

I was trying to google an example but it's hard to find one. Just think of it as something gathering together and condensing into something denser (which can be but isn't necessarily solid).

It usually means "solidified", especially in terms of something like tofu or yogurt that starts out liquid and ends up setting into a solid form.

What’s the context? A face congealing might mean that it’s scrunching together in the sense of loose items becoming a whole. It’s not the best word to use tho :(

Apart from what everyone else is saying, I think it can also be used similarly to the word "revealed", in the sense of different pieces of information coming together to form a whole truth that was previously unknown

The most common usage of the term I'm aware of is when your blood congeals after you get cut, if that helps.

Or it might be a typo for conceal. Face concealing makes more sense.

    This is the sentence:

Beside him, the\ blood meridians specialists group showed faces of disbelief, not only them, the faces of the others were congealed. Ever since Tang Tian fully recovered, he had displayed an extremely tyrannical body quality.

    Facial "stiffy"?:blobpeek:

Jokes aside, it means making a grave expression. It mostly comes up in MTL, tho.

He is just saying their faces are frozen, like you when you see something extremely surprising your expression freezes on your face. Really weird termanology, I wonder if it was a translating error.
