Discussion What got you into watching Anime and why is Anime important to you?

man you guys are lucky you got to watch anime with someone else i always just wached it by myself,alone.since i didn't know anybody else that liked anime

 

If it makes you feel any better he only watched DBZ.

 

it does make me feel a little bettter, thank you person whom I might never meet in real life

 

When I went to live with my mom for some time some years ago we were so rooked on korean dramas that we were mad if one watched before the other.

 

recently i've been trying to get into some asian dramas and i think you migth be an expert on the subject so do you know any good ones. Also damn you a lucky girl

 

yep after they stop airing Sailor Moon it was all I had left. My elder sister cursed me and now I still like magical girl anime and cartoons.

 

i don't even remember when i did watched an anime.
some anime gives you a lessson

I mean they were low-key about it and back then most people didn't know anime so they just though he liked having a weird hairstyle, but I was in the know so to speak.

 

I'm not an expert in doramas, I actually watched too fell.... and soon I will go to those xianxia live action~
The one we got rooked was Cinderella' Sister (korean), until today the theme music is in my head, though we were unsatisfied that there were few kisses.....
But there's a japanese drama that started me in the path, Densha Otoko! That was damn good!
My Boss My Hero was also hilarious!
Hotaru no Hikari was another ridiculous in a good sense..... to be a himono onna.......

I stopped watching anime about a year agoish.

 

When we discovered the novels lol

 

Grew up watching DBZ and Naruto on tv. Then I found the Internet...

 

Well my first experience was actually when I was super young (six? seven?) and my then bestie showed me mermaid melody pichi pitch pure. I had no idea wtf it was, and they were speaking some weird language, and I was like "wtf is this" and didn't like it (rewatching it later in life, I was actually kinda hooked *blushes*). But after that, I have no idea how I got into it. It was about when I was ten or so though. Was it Vampire Knight? Or maybe something else? I can't remember what got me into it... I am suffering from memory loss rn ugh ;^;

 

LOL true but I love that anceintness cheesyness about it.

 

I also first watched anime on 4 kids or adult swim without knowing what anime was. It was when I became a teenager that I suddenly remembered about dragon ball and one piece and wanted to watch the entire thing. First I read the dragon ball manga from the library then I watched the anime for dragon ball, z and gt. That was also when I found manga. At first I read manga I wanted and then found the Anime to watch. I remember dB, one piece, bleach, Naruto, shaman king, and a couple others. Eventually caught up with all the animus I liked and switched to their Mangas. Eventually caught up with Mangas I liked and went to their ln or wn. Now if I find something I like I read the novel, manga, and watch the anime if they have one.

 

I didn't have anything better to do in my infancy , so i watched tv and the thing that piqued my interest the most was anime : Slam Dunk , DBZ , Saint Saiya , etc. Got addicted hooked to it ,
Nowdays i still watch anime but i much prefer manga and novels.

 

Cinderella's Sister... My imoutos and mothers monopolizes the TV when this drama is still in hype....... and the OST...

I watch anime since my childhood...
But I started to watch modern style 14-episode anime when my hubae/kohai/junior in my sect (read "Med school") showed me this anime with 'interesting' premise, it is called "Sword Art Online"....... Yeah.................

 

Well I'd been reading novels for years, particularly western fantasy novels. I just decided that the video medium just wasn't something I really liked. I watch much less tv, movies, and youtube now.
