    Hey,
I'm really looking for a good novel list, i tried to find something that fits better for me then NU here, but since i can't find anything better i wanted to ask if you may can give me some advice how to use this here.

I really wanna ad novels that aren't listed here. Can i work around it somehow, so that i can add stuff that has no data on novelupdates.com?

Oh i'm sorry. Novels like "The True Endgame". Its on RR and a really good read with "Asian" setting/style. But since it doesn’t fit in here, it has no database and i can't add it in my list :x

Edit: another thing i just noticed "missing": There isn't any option for "short notes" that are always visible in your list-overview, are there? Also no "workaround" with symbols, colours etc. that you could add to categorize thing within a list? (For rating, importance and stuff like that, that you may wanna see on the first look)

Novelupdates only allow english-translated asian novels.
novels on RR, on the other hand, are english originals

by notes, you mean any of these?

    (Novel page)

if so, then make sure you did not have this option ticked (Global Settings on Reading List page)

btw, the notes does support symbols and non-standard characters.

@runsing thanks for the help =)
I've already read the tutorial here, so i know about the "notes" and have them activated, but those are "hidden" notes and not directly visible when you're looking at your list (you have to click on the entry if you want to see those notes)

Regarding the stuff on RR; I know that novels from RR aren't asian translated novels, thats why i wrote "they don't fit in here". But nethertheless i'm still reading them and would love to have them at a list. Thats why i hoped, that there may be a "workaround" for stuff like that. e.g. custom entrys that you can add in your list, "blank entries" were you at least can add the titel (e.g. "the true endgame") in the notes or stuff like that.
I just would love to have everything at one place =D

ah, i think one of the mods asked for something similar too, but i don't remember who. basically what they suggest was a hover/tooltip type preview of the notes, similar to what you see when you hover the mouse pointer on a thread title.
    hovernotes.jpg

the one you're suggesting is to add an extra column for the notes content, if i understand correctly?

and yes, the are no sub-category for within-the-list currently

i see. having all your reading list in one place definitely makes it easier. you're welcome to create a suggestion thread for it though. don't forget to include a poll too.

right, if you have a small "tag" (or however you wanna call it) column, you can add in there whatever you want like ranking, information or any sorting (by adding numbers and text after) etc...

Thanks, i'll do so later. But i have to admit i don't really believe in changes based on that xD I just hoped someone figured out a "workaround" for it :x

why does something so simple has to be so horribly done? in manga websites you simply log-in and hit "bookmarked" but here you need to go to hell and back to get a "reading list" holy shit. I don't even know what to do after reading the "tutorial" lol

It is more intuitive than you imagine.

Go to settings and enable the reading list and the quick adding to reading list option.

After that, you'll have a quick way to "bookmarking" novels and the current chapter you're at.

Hello! May I ask if there is anyway to see the synopsis for each novel in my reading list?

For example, my reading list currently shows the title and chapter of the novel I have added...
Is there any way to also include the synopsis, such as when you are browsing novels?

    directly from Reading List, No.

but there is a way to get a listing of your particular reading list that shows cover + synopsis (similar to what you see on Latest Series or Series Ranking)

    1. click on Series Finder (on the right side menu on the main page)
2a. on that Series Finder page, scroll down a bit to the part it says - Reading List [Exclude]
    2b. change it to [Include]
    3. then choose your reading list from the menu below it. you can choose one, or you can choose multiple.
    4. (not necessary) choose how you want the novels be listed, either by ranking, titles, chapters, etc.
    5. click Apply Filters

I'm not able to update novels in my reading lists to a specific chapter.

I can update them to the latest chapter. I can press the book icon and it will display up to three further chapters which takes me to that chapter and does update the current chapter on the reading list.

    But no specific chapter.
