Hi, I'm a friend dealing with my male friend's breakup. I don't really know what to do or say because I haven't gone through it by myself. I listen to him and I stop him from doing stupid things but I don't know what I can do to help. I know I can't make him not sad but I'm not sure what to do.
not much you really can do, that you're not doing already. Just support him the best ya can without taking sides.
Just keep him away from doing something dangerous. From the peeps that I know who go through those they kinda almost went to the afterlife because they couldn't take it. Luckily, they didn't go through with it.
the most you can do let him remember the fun of being single again, i always bond with my friends after some break up... playing videogames, drinking or just talking with them..
My one best advice is that....this heartache will pass. All he has to do now is let time do it's thing. Like a flu or a kidney stone, it will be hard going for the first few days, but it will improve. Time heals lots of sorrow and somehow, magically, one day it's okay. I say that from my own experience and from observing and helping others. If he is not safe, then he may need professional help to get over the hardest hurdles.
Time heals all, he'll be stronger after this breakup. For now just hangout and do fun things, I would avoid alcohol since it'll make him do stupid shit like call his ex etc etc. Go out and do fun shit like hiking and camping
Just tell him to grow a pair and get over it. Moping about is why he was dumped. (the general idea is to get him angry, so that one passion can replace the other)
Tell him the world has more to offer than what's underneath that girl's underwear. And you go show him the world and other girls underwear. Ps; usually u go around looking for girls that liked him (plz be merciful on both sides when picking) and grab your friend to hang with her. People usually appreciates other people love when they lost their own...
I have to agree with everyone. Go to a strip club, get a few drinks and let him vent. Than get his a$$ back home and into bed. Try to keep him from going to prison along the way. Other than that go out meet some girls. Mainly keep him distracted and looking forward to the future. Heartbreak is tough, but be a man. Stand up straight and move forward. Good luck.
tell him to go read novels... cuz my friend nothing kills time as much as reading something good. just kidding nah tell him to spend more time on himself instead rather than do stupid things so when he see's that girl/boy again he can go say look at me now lol. Anyway the more you spend time working on yourself to better the more you meet better people as well that way he'll get a better catch in the future.
