Description : Born into an old sorcerer’s family, I didn’t know how to use magic until I turned 10 years old. Unlike my brother, who’s called a genius, I was a disgrace to the family and a useless child. “Tell the Master to throw her away!” I know I’m not my parents’ child. I have a real dad. I went to find my real dad with a sad heart. “You are my daughter?” The wizard, my real dad did not recognize my face. He is a scary perrson! Can we get along well? “Don’t worry. It’s alright.” “Try this too!” “This too!” Unlike my nervous mind, when I want to leave, people here are a bit weird. You’re too good to me. @scriptor So how did she separate from her real dad anyway Wheres her mom Did the step parents know about her real dad Why was she deemed a trash
Unfortunately this is a KR novel and they are famous for being inaccessible. QAQ I tried finding raws for it and it's been locked, RIP.
Well both the manga and novel are on translated chapter 2 however based on the manga her dad asked her "parents" to look after her for unspecified reasons and after being verbally abused by the mother and physically abused by her "younger brother" she overhears the parents talking about her and finds out she was only being taken care of because of the money her dad sent them. He actually lived in a huge mansion in the nearby forest which took less than a day to go to. She left the place she grew up in to go to her dad hoping he wouldn't turn her away. As of now there is nothing about her mother
The manga is up to chapter 8 now (english translation). I noticed on instagram some people have posted some spoiler posts with snips from a few chapters ahead (I think at least up to ch 13) Spoiler: Spoilers she does make it to the mansion and is welcomed by an older butler who asks her to wait in a room while he gets her tea. While she waits her father shows up unexpectedly and kinda quickly deduces she is his daughter (not that it is that hard she looks just like him) Old butler guy turns out to be a handsome fox spirit/creature that can change forms so long as the master doesn't screw up the barrier around the mansion. She is allowed to stay at the mansion although her father isnt too warm to her but he accepts her Spoiler: Mother's fate? I think in that chapter Kan (fox butler's name) mentions the mother (I believe he called her Galatea?) But the Rykell (dad) gets angry and basically silences him but choking him as he apologizes for bringing it up. I'm guessing she is dead because in a later chapter Rykell shows Maybelle a wand/scepter thing that belonged to her mother
Up to chapter 8 or up to chapter 2 which is what covered in the spoiler part? Also I think we have a ML or potential interest for Maybelle Spoiler: ML? I think he shows up in ch 13? Someone posted him interacting with Maybelle and Abel in that chapter and today I saw someone posted about snips from the following chapter and he looks pretty cozy with Maybelle
Update chapter 11 Spoiler So the dad does care for her. He doesn't visit the house but watches over the house from the forest(?) through the years.l And after finding out she's being mistreated (I mean they had an effin 'punishment room' for her, proven by her fearful expression), he storms his big brother's house (how are they even related ugh) and destroys the room, fights off the brother, the wife and mages they hired(?) But it also seems like he made a deal/contract with them in exchange of taking care of Maybelle because there's some chains that magically appears to restrain him (though they don't seem to work as much and he doesn't care). I only understood a little bit, so this is not accurate.
