To me, "special" requires a reference point. Who is the person (or persons?) serving as the reference point? Anybody can be special, but it depends on the eyes of the beholder.
Being special for me means adding your uniqueness to this world and bringing it to a more higher pedestal of development , you being special is like being one of the stars in this universe we each have our own role and we shine brightly as ourselves when we bring out our special uniqueness that belongs to us only you shine more brightly ans I also believe our special traits makes us feel confident in ourselves and also gives us the push needed to make us believe we can make our mark in this world. This is what I think is to be special means I don't if my definition is cliche but this is my definition.
Being special just means you're unique, like whenever you ingraine another culture into your everyday life; that's a bit special. Everything is special, it just depends on how you view it, be it glamorous or not, it's a piece of your memory; a time you spent.
But I made this tag list out of my memory yanno Yup! You can be special to someone for absolutely no reason, maybe just because they find you special. You can also be an insignificant person to someone even if you had many qualities/ high position. Like some Govt official who I don't know, or some musician I haven't heard of, dying (because of natural causes) I can't care less lol
I am special enough to blend into any enviroment as a background character with Main Character like traits and a unique backstory that can make anyone's kokoro burst or question how am i still alive. Skills being average, a sadistic family and a loner life with great socialist skills. So yeah, average person, not special at all.

There is no such thing as special imo. We all are unique individuals who have been shaped by different circumstances, have varying opinions and live vastly different lives. But overall we all are the same. If anything we’re special in our own way.
^I totally agree with that. As cheesy as it sounds no one can do you exactly as you do you. Even if someone's better at one field there'll be another aspect they won't do well in, especially in the context of the arts it's less "how well you can do" and more "what can you do with what you have?".
I never thought about this but I can see it being used as PC Language. Man, they twist anything... Special. Could mean specific things like, stuff, words, people, but in a narrow sense.
different. reverse of the trend. the best in 1 case/thing. whatever one's did/do, even in worst case scenario is still acceptable. could still survive even w/o needs(lust, desire, power,etc), able to beat those whose had those needs.
