What is 挂逼 means in this sentence? I couldn't get the best phrase of it >.<
    一个行走的挂逼从沉睡中苏醒的故事
And this isn't a gaming novel, instead a supernatural novel....
Thank you so much in advance (´∀`)♡

From Baidu Baike, some internet slang.
I guess it either means an internet game cheater/hacker, or someone/something who died a violent death?
In context, probably just refers to a "walking cheat", "winner in life", "riajuu", or equivalent.

    释义①:
    指在网络游戏中使用第三方工具/脚本(俗称”外挂“)修改游戏数据,对造成影响其他游戏玩家及游戏平衡性的人一种轻蔑称呼。
    释义②:
    用于表示人或动物死亡,及事物以比较惨烈的方式结束一种说法。

挂 for 开挂 as in hacks/ cheats.
挂逼 basically just means hack user/ cheater.

Basically this term can be use in other genres other than gaming, because when you are OVERPOWERED as fuck compared to the average, you are basically a cheater in life itself. I had seen this term in xianxia and xuanhuan novels, the authors are notorous in using generic terms.

Since you said it isn't a game, Baidu gave this other meaning for that term 用于表示人或动物死亡,及事物以比较惨烈的方式结束一种说法。which basically means like a dead person so I'm guessing you could call that or a zombie?
A story that can rouse even the walking dead from its slumber imo fits it best

never heard of this slang before.
外挂=额外挂件=third-party addons, but usually referred to cheating tools for games.

逼is know as B值,Bi值,Bi,逼格 and other things.
Basically 逼格 pronounce as bige, 逼=bi and 格=g. so 逼格=big。
Because 逼格 is sensord by internet so we make up alot of different version of it.

    挂逼 = big cheater。
行走 = walking。usually discribe a person. E.G walking dictionary are people who know a lots of words.

行走的挂逼 I would translate as the the story of some one become the biggest cheater in life, or the story of some one awaken to became a riajuu.

    挂逼
    是指遇到了特别困难的情况,比如身无分文,有时也指身亡。这词来源于关于三和大神的一个 NHK 拍摄的纪录片。

挂逼 means some one in difficute situations who's dead broke. Like me who doesn't even have a penny.
