I'm looking for fanfictions or novels that are good and basically wish fulfillment. Good examples would be Chaotic Good and For Love of Magic since they are basically wish fulfillment but also a good read. A bad example is Desolate Era, because it isn't that much wish fulfillment compared to just a standard xianxia/xuanhuan and it has longer boring parts that just turn me off from reading it. E: Perhaps I forgot to mention: Unless it is well-written, there shouldn't be a case of "Oh, I suddenly got superpowers, in a few chapters I'm gonna be omnipotent and destroy the whole build-up of the story." Should be completed or ongoing with a decent length (anything above 15k words). Spoiler: What I mean in this case for Wish Fulfillment Basically, I see everything in which the reader can identify with the MC and the reader wishes he was the MC due to the MC getting to do and have things the reader wishes for. BUT in this case, I would prefer if it was Wish Fulfillment because the MC gets one or more of the following (doesn't have to get it for free or immediately, should have to work for it a little bit): a ridiculous amount of power compared to the average people a ridiculously comfortable or exciting/nice life, compared to the average person an amazing group of people around him (family, friends, SO)
If you dont mind bad grammar heres 2 from Royal Road. Theres a 3rd for One Piece, but its been on Hiatus for quite awhile. https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/3353/dexs-clairs-adventure-completed https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/8047/dexs-adventure-through-the-elemental-nations-completed
The guy who wrote For Love of Magic also wrote a Naruto fic. Maybe try that, if you haven't? I don't know much fanfiction, so that's my only suggestion on that front. With that aside, let's go back to novels. Originals cool with you? Maybe try Arcane Emperor over on RRL, or The Outer Sphere on RRL/ScribbleHub. They're fun reads.
hmm, I don't mind the grammar as long as no basic errors like constant wrong use of he/she/him/her and tense is seen. What's the One Piece fanfiction called? A renewed adventure and second wind as well as high shinobi of the seas are ones I read I have read all his fictions, though imo For Love of Magic and A Discordant Note are far better than the Naruto ones

I am pretty darn sure he has read that. I think everyone has including me, although I didnt last the first chapter I recommend My Castle My Castellan and Heavenly Star Given how unpopular both novels are on my website I can bet 5,000 nuffies that you havent read either My best recommendation would be Rise of the Lord but like all RR novels, the author went on hiatus I started translating My Castle My Castellan because both are similar

Arcane Emperor is on my long lost reading list from when I just started using NU in 2016 Still didn't read it though, so I think I will give it a try. The other one I checked, but it didn't seem so interesting Thanks for the recs tho more or less, yes. I already tried reading it once tho ^^ Indeed. I did read it, but I read only a couple of manhwa chapters instead of the novel In fact, I liked Heavenly Star, but I put it on hold at around a hundred-150 chapters when I caught up I'll check out the other one.
I read maybe a third-a fifth of the HP and Naruto ones and very few of the others Since you seem to like or have read/watched both of these, what are your opinions on them and their resulting fanfictions? RWBY and Young Justice I don't really like Fate that much as a fanfiction material tbh.
Heres the One Piece one, its a good 100+ chapters, but its good. https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/13319/lia-and-lara-will-seek-the-one-piece
Arcane Emperor is good, but Outer Sphere is better. The start of Outer Sphere is fairly normal - a system apocalypse starts and the MC has to think on his feet to survive being attacked by sort-of-zombies. He ends up struggling for a bit, trekking through woods, exploring a school, y'know. Normal stuff. And then it promptly nosedives into absolute insanity. I mean, ffs just his adventures with drugs are amazing. Whatever about it gave you pause, I can't recommend strongly enough that you reconsider.
I really like both. I'd recommend watching RWBY just for the fight scenes alone. Watch at least to season 3, since that's where most fanfics focus on. Skip 4 and 5 by reading a summary since its bad. Do know that things start off bright and cheerful, but later on... yeah. As for Young Justice, I enjoyed the original seasons 1 and 2. I haven't watched 3. I'm also a big comic book fan especially for DC due to the original animated shows. If you want a summary of the shows so you can better read the fanfics, PM me. The RWBY-verse is great fanfic material. The world of Remnant is a fun setting and the plot makes writing easy/easier (season 1-3) for fanfic writers. The existence of Grimm, Huntsman, Semblances, and Aura just really work well together. There's just such a great balance of different elements. The characters are likable. The start had adventurer training school/battle academy vibes, but with a different flavor. The setting of humanity trying to survive and thrive in this hostile death world full of Grimm really adds to it. You know those KR novels with hunters, ability users, dungeons, etc. in the modern world? RWBY has that vibe when it comes to modern fantasy, but with the bonus of actually feeling like another world along with most of humanity actually being near the bottom of the world hierarchy/food chain. As for Young Justice, I felt it certainly had its flaws especially when it comes to plot. Any SI fanfic will tell you there were plot holes and the JL weren't portrayed as competent on the show. However, I enjoyed the show lots and it's great fanfic material since it allows a writer to explore the DC Universe without worry too much about the craziness that is the comic book canon. Much like how the MCU is a good setting for fanfic and SIs. With This Ring would be your best bet for getting into a YJ SI fic. It's kinda the one that started/popularize/lead the trend/fanfic base. I also recommend Life Ore Death. It does a great job of adding depth to YJ by having an OC. As for RWBY, it's harder to say where to start besides canon. P.S. Do you read Worm fics?
I picked the Outer Sphere up earlier this week. I haven't read much, but just his powerset and the way he got his "blessing"... That's a lot of wish fulfillment right there! I'll recommend Empathic capacity of a teaspoon. The author claims that it was a very young him writing about his Harry Potter Fantasies, but judging by how often he mentions how it was a younger him, I think he was just self-aware. Definitely wish fulfillment in this.
No, I sadly never got into the novel, dropping Worm after a chapter or so. Still waiting on the pending list for me to revisit I checked out With This Ring and it looked interesting, but ultimately I didn't start it either, since I have pretty much no knowledge of the DC universe aside from Batman I'll check RWBY tomorrow and then ask you again for a summary if I'm too lazy to watch it ^^ Thanks a lot Nevermind tomorrow, I knew there was more than one reason I didn't watch it yet. Just isn't an animation style I like and my usual page where I watch anime took down all but the links to the licensed version...
It'd be a shame if you don't get to read any RWBY fanfics. Forget the source material! The fanfics are all that matters! These are some quick things to check out that should get you started: Spoiler This: RWBY is set in the world of Remnant. A world with a shattered moon and is the home to the remnant of humanity (this includes faunus aka beastkin). Remnant is a death world infested with Grimm, soulless creatures of darkness that prey on humanity and are attached by negativity. Humanity mostly inhabits four "Kingdoms" (not actually monarchy) with most living in the capital/main city that is protected by walls. Some do live in settlements outside the walls of the "Kingdoms." Humanity is protected by the huntsmen/huntresses. These are people who since childhood train to fight the Grimm. They have their Aura unlocked, which is the manifestation of the soul that gives increase strength, speed, and protects them from harm. This also gives them a Semblance, a unique ability. They also have mecha-shift weapons and use Dust (a material that you can pretty much treat like magic crystals). Spoilers: So the whole conflict of RWBY is fighting Salem, the one controlling the Grimm, a witch turned corrupt because the Gods were assholes. Opzin (or originally Ozma), Beacon's headmaster, is her lover constantly reincarnated by the gods to stop her. Salem's goal includes obtaining the powers of the Four Maiden, the magic power of the seasons and the Four Relics which will resummon the Gods back to the world. The main focus/conflict of season 1-3 is Cinder Fall teaming up with the White Fang, infiltrating Beacon, planting a virus, stealing the Fall Maiden's power, attacking the Vytal Festival Tournament, and taking down Beacon Academy. Note that the characters of RWBY are loosely based on fairy tales, stories, and myths. The show follows Team RWBY: Ruby Rose, a naive, socially awkward, weapon-obsessed, hero-wannabe, huntress-in-training with secret medusa-like anti-Grimm silver-eyes. Weiss Schnee, a tsundere, perfectionist, ojou-sama of the largest Dust company. (Her dad is also an asshole) Blake Belladonna, a book and smut loving, hiding that she's cat faunus, and is an ex-White Fang (faunus equality activist group turned terrorist organization) member. Yang Xiao Long, Ruby's older half-sister, short-tempered, cares for her hair, and loves puns. There's also team JNPR which is made up of: Jaune Arc, shy, awkward, hunter-wannabe who faked his transcript, suffers motion-sickness Nora Valkyrie, pancake-looking, energetic, crazy? girl. Pyrrha Nikos, champion-fighter and likes Jaune. Lie Ren, Nora's childhood friend, sensible, quiet type. Just skim this. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_RWBY_episodes Also watch these for an idea of the feel of RWBY:
Can anyone link to all these name drop stories? Google is giving me old movies or games when i google them and im not even sure where they are to narrow it down. Are they on RR or Scribblehub or elsewhere? *Mainly Outer Sphere, Life Ore Death & With This Ring (google brings up a wedding movie?!?)
??? most are already linked, have been mentioned above with a link or show up as first result in google... just add novel behind the name? if you still don't find them edit your post and mention whoever commented it
@DiabolicGod RWBY is on youtube: For RWBY fanfic, it's hard to really pick what to start with. These are really really good, however, they are way way different from the source material and are really really long, the power scale is also way way above canon: The Games We Play - Basically, Jaune gains the powers of The Gamer. This story doesn't follow canon at all. Almost an original story with just a few things from RWBY. The author started writing it pretty much during the very start of show's release. The Light of Our Solus and The Light of Our Solus 2 - stars an original character, Mordin Solus, a Solus, a race of soul-eating, world-devouring, and multiverse-traveling eldrich abominations. It's of the Quest format so it might be a new experience reading a forum. These are some SIs: A Heart of Ice and Coffee The Other Path Winning With Science and Firepower The Silver Eyed Prodigy Reiteration Playing Our Roles A Series of Unfortunate Circumstances AUs: Not this time, Fate Restart Relic of the Future Forged Destiny Professor Arc Service with a Smile From Beyond White Sheep Crossovers: Remnant of a Carnival Heroes, Dreams, and Destiny Beneath a Broken Moon Unknown Legends Trainer to Huntsman Worm fics are also really good and you also don't really need to know much about the source material to start reading them.
