Like fuck, it's good to have character, but he is too much. I mean fuck, he doesn't even have the basic common courtesy. He is an idiot and gives me an absolute headache.
At the end of the fight, MC throws a potion that attracts a lot of bees to sting the general's son and his fiance, but some of the potion got on MC and Mo Yi. Luckily, they were saved by ML who protects them. Afterwards, the general's son and his fiance break up during a competition that comes up when he found out that his fiance was lying to him the whole time. Spoiler: Spoiler Turns out he was only going out with him because that Xu fellow lied to him that he was his sweetheart from the secret realm that Zheng went to in the past where he met his real love. Zheng's real love was actually Xu's half-brother, his father's illegitimate child. After the secret realm, Zheng went into closed cultivation for about 7 years and went to the Xu family to marry his true love after his closed door cultivation. When Xu's mother learned about this, she sent assassins after Zheng's true love to kill and disfigure him. Afterwards, the Xu Father and Mother had Xu pose at Zheng's true love which was easy since both Zheng and his true love were using alias at the time. Originally, Xu was supposed to go, but he didn't want to die in case of an accident so his half brother who looked very similar to him was sent instead. Xu posed as his younger brother lying to Zheng that he was the one he met at the secret realm and that he got ill afterwards which made him lose his memories and that he will get really ill if he tries to remember them. Basically, Xu and his parents concocted this lie in order to deceive Zheng so that he wouldn't find out about the switch which is why Zheng didn't realize the truth, but Zheng was really stupid for not noticing Xu's real nature and believing that he was a good person at heart. Zheng's true love and Xu's half-brother is... Spoiler: Spoiler Mo Yi.
Yeah, it was basically a classic family drama with another evil stepmother you find in Chinese novels. Basically after Zheng learned the truth, he hated Xu and his mother to death. The whole Xu family fell apart once Zheng broke up with Xu and the truth got out. Spoiler Once word got out that the Xu family no longer had Zheng's support any more, all of the people who hated the Xu family started retaliating against them. For instance, Xu's cousin from his father's side who always sucked up to Xu so Xu liked him was a gambling addict and always lost his money so he lied that he was tricked by the casino. Because Xu had Zheng's support, the casino couldn't do anything to Xu cousin and let him gamble despite all his losses. But once the truth got out, the casino started demanding Xu cousin to repay all his debts. Several people from the Xu family were also killed because of gambling debts too. After the truth got out, Xu family fell when most of their allies abandoned them and their enemies started retaliating against them. Xu father put both Xu and Xu mother under house arrest where they lost their former positions in the family. A concubine named Yin even mocked the mother son pair and was very active in harassing them pair. That's because long ago Xu killed Yin's son so she held a deep grudge against the two. Unable to handle the poor treatment, Xu ran away from home and went to Zheng for help. (Talk about stupid). At first, Zheng's servant didn't want to let him in, but Xu said that the break up was a misunderstanding so Zheng's servant had no choice but to let him in. Zheng was disgusted to see Xu. Xu tried to win Zheng back by saying how they spent three years together and questioned him whether that meant anything to him. Zheng rebuked Xu saying that he only loved him because he thought he was his true love so he put up with him but since that was a lie he naturally hates his guts. Xu tried to prove that Zheng had feelings for him since Zheng didn't do anything to his family. Zheng said that he didn't do anything to his family because he was busy chasing his true love and that he only spared the family on account of Xu father being his true love's biological father. But since Xu delivered himself to his door naturally Zheng won't wish the opportunity. Zheng ordered his servant to sell Xu to an infamous brothel that was known for its violence and abuse. Zheng asked his servant how much he'd get for selling Xu and his servant told him that he'd get about 30-40 million which Zheng clicked his tongue at saying how worthless Xu was since he spent like 1 billion on him only to get about 30-40 million. Back at Xu House, Yin disfigured Xu mother and mocked her for thinking that she and her son were still favored by Zheng since he didn't do anything to their family. She enlightened her by telling her that Zheng was too busy chasing after Mo Yi to care about her and her son much to Xu father's disappointment who was eavesdropping on the situation and had the same hopes as Xu and Xu mother. Since the truth got out, Xu father no longer cared about Xu mother and ignored Xu mother's plight. Later, Yin came back with a gift for Xu mother who was disgusted to see her. Yin sarcastically remarks that she should be grateful since she is the only one in the house that bothers to 'care' for her and even bought her a gift. Xu mother opens the gift only to scream in horror when she sees the severed head of her brother's son, Xiao cousin. Since he was her brother's son, she doted and loved Xiao cousin so she was distraught to see his severed head and demanded to know who killed him. Yin enlightens her by reminding her of Xiao cousin's previous affair years ago. Apparently, Xiao cousin had an affair with the wife of the Li family's Head years ago. And like Xu cousin, because of Zheng's support, they couldn't do anything. Instead, they were waiting for the opportunity. After the Xu family lost Zheng's support, the Li Head captured and tortured Xiao cousin for three days until he couldn't take it anymore and died. The Li Head wanted to feed Xiao cousin's corpse to beasts, but Yin bought Xiao cousin's head for 1 million so that she can torment Xu mother. Xu mother calls her crazy which Yin admits as she had been crazy since Xu killed her son. Xu mother remarks that she and her son will make a comeback soon. Yin shoots down her hopes by telling her that she should give up on her son since her son was sold to an infamous brothel much to Xu mother's dismay. Xu mother denies Yin's words, but Yin tells her that it was Zheng who personally did it and told her how foolish her son was for going to Zheng for help. Xu mother tries to break out and demands to see Xu father, but the guards stop her. Yin tells her to give up since Xu father already knew about Xu's matter earlier but did nothing since he was busy with the family. Later, Yin shows Xu mother a video of Xu at the brothel. The Xu family is so stupid for having so many enemies. Never really think about their actions. What a brainless family...
did they explain how zheng fell in love with Mo Yi? or the book only say that they fall in love without explain anything? Did Mo Yi help Zeng ? Did they fell in love at fist sight¿?
Their meeting was revealed in the series, but only in bits and pieces when the two of them recount some parts of their past together. And no, it was not love at first sight. Spoiler: Zheng Xuan and Mo Yi's past Before Zheng Xuan and Mo Yi met, Zheng Xuan's talent was average so his grandfather sent him to a secret realm that opened up in hopes that it could help him, but since Zheng Xuan was his only grandson and Zheng Xuan's talent was only average at the time, he had Zheng Xuan used a fake name when he sent him there. The name he used for Zheng Xuan was from a relative from another family. And Mo Yi who was sent in place of Xu Zihan was using Xu Zihan's name at the time. Both of them met when they were in the secret realm. I'm not too familar with the details since I mlted it and it didn't go into detail about how they met since it was mostly recountings of their past with each other. There was a time Zheng Xuan got poisoned by some poisonous ants and was dying at the moment. Mo Yi saved Zheng Xuan from the poison. There was one time when they were really hungry and Mo Yi caught a chicken, but Zheng Xuan ate the chicken which caused Mo Yi to kick him into a river out of anger. A magical beast showed up so Mo Yi pulled him out. Basically, Zheng Xuan fell for Mo Yi during their time together where he saw Mo Yi as his only ally/ companion since everyone in the secret realm was basically an enemy that would kill them. So when Mo Yi didn't kill him during their first meeting while Zheng Xuan was poisoned and pulled him out of the water when a magical beast showed up, Zheng Xuan slowly started to fall for Mo Yi. However Mo Yi's version of their story is slightly different form Zheng Xuan's. When Zheng Xuan was recounting their times together to Mo Yi, Mo Yi revealed his side of the story. The reason why Mo Yi saved Zheng Xuan from the poison wasn't to save him but rather because he was really hungry at the time. At the time, Mo Yi thought Zheng Xuan was dead from the poison but tried to cure the poison so that he could eat his meat. Mo Yi knew that meat contaminated by the poison couldn't be eaten so he detoxified Zheng Xuan's poison, but Zheng Xuan was still alive so he couldn't eat him much to his disappointment. And during the time when the magical beast showed up, Mo Yi only pulled Zheng Xuan out, because he wanted to use Zheng Xuan as bait for the magical beast since the magical beast was a fire type so he thought Zheng Xuan, a fire user, would be more appetizing to the beast. Mo Yi reveals that he was never innocent and had always been scheming as a child which is understandable considering his background.
Well, after Zheng Xuan found out the truth, he started pursuing his true love, Mo Yi. But because of Zheng Xuan's mix up with Mo Yi and Xu Zihan, Mo Yi hates Zheng Xuan which is understandable. Spoiler: Mo Yi and Zheng Xuan Basically, Mo Yi was on the run from assassins sent by Xu Zihan's mother three years ago until he jumped off a cliff and met Mo Fei. At the same, he was also poisoned by those assassins and had to endure the poison for two years until Mo Fei cured him. And during those two years, Mo Yi was under constant pain and suffering. Everyday, he would hope that Zheng Xuan would save him, but instead, he was happily spending those two years with his enemy, Xu Zihan. (Yeah, I'd hate Zheng Xuan too if I were Mo Yi.) Spoiler: Mo Fei and Mo Yi's past Funnily, Mo Fei only saved Mo Yi, because he originally thought Mo Yi was a woman based on his body shape. And since Mo Yi's face was disfigured at the time, Mo Fei didn't know he was a guy until after he healed him. Another reason why Mo Yi hates Zheng Xuan is because Zheng Xuan saved Xu Zihan and his mother when Mo Yi tried to kill Xu Zihan's mother. Because she always had guards with her, Mo Yi asked Mo Fei for a potion to temporarily raise his level, but Zheng Xuan happened to be there so Mo Yi's plan failed when Zheng Xuan protected from Mo Yi who hid his appearance at the time. Zheng Xuan also stabbed Mo Yi during their fight. Seeing as he couldn't kill Xu Zihan's mother, Mo Yi retreated but was badly injured until Mo Fei, Lou Yu, and Su Rong showed up to save Mo Yi. After Mo Yi left, Zheng Xuan asked Xu Zihan if anyone had a grudge against his mother to which Xu Zihan replied that his mother was a good person and couldn't think of anyone who would want her life... (Yeah,right... ) So after realizing his mistake, Zheng Xuan relentlessly pursued Mo Yi who gave him the cold-shoulder. Zheng Xuan even asked him what he liked and that he would give it to him. Mo Fei told Zheng Xuan that Mo Yi liked grilled squid and that he'd be happy with 200 skewers of grilled squid. Like a dog, Zheng Xuan ran off to get 200 skewers of grilled squid. After Zheng Xuan left, Mo Yi gave Mo Fei a look. Mo Fei then 'recalled' that Mo Yi didn't like grilled squid like him and that he like grilled meat instead. Since Mo Yi didn't like grilled squid, Mo Fei offered to eat it in his place and to remember to tell Zheng Xuan that Mo Yi liked grilled meat. Later, Zheng Xuan came back with a big bouquet of roses and 200 skewers of grilled squid. He gave them to Mo Yi. Mo Fei looked at the grilled squid with anticipation only for Mo Yi to eat the grilled squid much to Mo Fei dismay. Mo Fei told Zheng Xuan that he 'remembered wrong' and that Mo Yi liked grilled meat so he should bring Mo Yi some grilled meat next time. Mo Fei and Mo Yi returned to Lou Yu's mansion with the bouquet of roses in Mo Fei's hands and the 200 skewers of grilled squid. (Now this is where it gets funny.) Seeing the roses, Lou Yu's face darkened and he asked who gave them to him to which Mo Fei replied, "They're from a handsome man." only for them to be destroyed by a jealous Lou Yu. Then Mo Fei asked Lou Yu what kind of grudge he had against Zheng Xuan for him to destroy his roses much to Lou Yu's surprise since he knew Zheng Xuan was after Mo Yi. Mo Yi covered for Mo Fei by saying that he asked Mo Fei to hold them for him. Lou Yu apologized for destroying the roses. Another time that Zheng Xuan tried to win over Mo Yi was when Zheng Xuan followed Mo Yi and Mo Fei when they went out shopping for a new sword for Mo Yi who needed a new sword since his old one wouldn't be much use to him when he leveled up. In hopes of winning Mo YI over, Zheng Xuan offered to buy Mo Yi's new sword for him. However the sword Mo Yi had his eyes on was around 8 billion which was way over Zheng Xuan's budget. With the money he won from betting on Su Rong during the competition, Mo Yi bought the sword and told Zheng Xuan that he was not Xu Zihan and that Zheng Xuan can't afford him. After that, Zheng Xuan was not seen for a few days. It was not until later when they heard that Zheng Xuan was in critical condition that he found out what happened to him. Basically, Zheng Xuan took part in this underground battle arena where he would face 100 beasts and if he beat all of them without losing he'd get 10 billion which he did and transferred the money over to Mo Yi. Hearing this Mo Fei asked Mo Yi if he felt anything for Zheng Xuan. Mo Yi still refused to acknowledge Zheng Xuan. Later at night, Mo Yi went to secretly visit Zheng Xuan to deliver him some healing potions. Zheng Xuan was happy to see Mo Yi, but Mo Yi told him that he was only doing it because of his young master's persistence. They both reminisced about their past together where Mo Yi revealed his side of the story to Zheng Xuan much to Zheng Xuan's surprise. I'm not sure how they got together specifically, but their relationship was much better after this. Zheng Xuan was still sticking to Mo Yi. He even barged into Lou Yu's home in order to be with Mo Yi to which Lou Yu told him that there was no room for him. Zheng Xuan didn't mind and even said that he wouldn't mind staying in Mo Yi's room with him. Incidentally, both Zheng Xuan and Lou Yu were jealous of each other. Zheng Xuan was jealous that Lou Yu was already married to his sweetheart, Mo Fei. And Lou Yu was jealous that Zheng Xuan and Mo Yi were so close to each other while he and Mo Fei were only just married on paper. They also believed that the other party was in a happier relationship than the other. Zheng Xuan also followed Mo Yi to a military camp that Lou Yu was sent to by order of his father along with Mo Fei, Su Rong, and one more guy that will introduced later on during the competition. Spoiler: Mo Fei and Lou Yu As for Mo Fei and Lou Yu, I don't remember specifically when they got together, but they pretty much develop feelings for each other as the story progresses. Lou Yu has pretty much fallen for Mo Fei and gotten over Lin Feiyu. Mo Fei has subconsciously developed feelings for Lou Yu but believes himself to be straight. It was not until later that he realizes that he likes Lou Yu and the two of them get together. Lou Yu's feelings were pretty obvious when Mo Fei was treating this famous singer really nice and followed his every whim so Lou Yu was really jealous of their close relationship and worried that Mo Fei was under some kind of enchantment by the singer whose looks were very outstanding. However, it was later revealed that their relationship was something else. So when Lou Yu hear this, he treated the singer very respectfully which made the singer uncomfortable when Lou Yu misunderstood their relationship. When Zheng Xuan saw this, he thought Lou Yu was under some kind of enchantment and felt disappointed in Lou Yu for being so mentally weak... (Yeah, there's a bunch of misunderstandings at this point between the characters.) Anyway, I think Lou Yu and Mo Fei officially get together during or after the competition since they already slept with each other when they went to the military camp due to some circumstances. I think it was after Lou Yu fully recovered from his injured meridans and got payback at his older brother by secretly attacking him and injuring his brother's meridans causing his cultivation to fall the fourth level.
This This story is a freaking rollercoaster, I honestly can't stand excessive misunderstandings between characters it hurts me and tbh I started the story because I thought it was romance but it seems like it's just let's misunderstand each other constantly til we fall in love kinda book. Spoiler: About the singer The singer is actually MC's elder brother who died with him during the explosion and transmigrated with MC. ML mistakenly thinks that he's MC's father at first. Spoiler: About ML's ex crush So the first prince breaks up with Lin Feiyue and the Lin guy asks ml to provide shelter. ML agrees. He doubted that Lin guy was actually first prince's spy and I think that's why he agreed. Lin tries to break into MC's lab, tries to hookup ml etc but ml clearly tells him that he was young and foolish, he only has mc in his mind now. Before the pharmacy competition finals ML asks Lin to leave and the Lin guy requests to speak to ml one last time. Ml agrees. They drink wine and the first prince's plan was to poison ML's glass with a potion which will destroy soul power & eventually turn the person into waste. Ml had already exchanged glasses with Lin. So it was Lin who drunk the poison. Ml orders his servant to through him out. He eventually dies, i don't remember much but i think the ml was very ruthless to him and it kind of made up for his past foolishness. Spoiler: MC & ML do the deed MC's sister wanted to seduce ML so she gave him pastries with aphrodisiac in it to ML. But ML was doubtful and didn't eat it. But MC accidentally ate them. Before that they used to kiss and stuff. MC was slowly warming up to ML and did admit that he has started to like ML. ML had already confessed to mc. Also it doesn't look like MC's follower (Mo Yi) has a harem. Su Rong confesses to Mo Yi and gets rejected. Later Mo Yi & Zheng guy are kind of in an ambiguous phase. Su Rong did not entangle Mo Yi after being rejected. Meanwhile MC's bro seems to have taken a liking to Su Rong. They're the 3rd cp. Also I'm almost halfway through, I feel a real lack of romance scenes. It just implied in the passing conversations that they do it etc. I hope there's more romance in the second half.

MC's bro is the gong. They eventually get together as MC's bro is pretty much shameless and doesn't waste any opportunities to pester Su Rong. Later Su Rong voluntarily takes the injection that can make men pregnant & they have a kid.
