If "plays a dragon in a VRMMO" is acceptable, Data Dragon Danika fits. Short version: New, first Full Dive VRMMO comes out, and the MC starts playing. You can develop your character into a bunch of different races, and the MC chooses the most dragon-like one she can, a Fairy Dragon (half Fairy, half Dragon, looks like a western dragon about the size of a housecat to my mind/memory). It's a mostly fun slice-of-life story.
Invincible Divine Dragon's Cultivation System The mc gets a system that turns him into the dragon king, modern novel, pretty good so far but we'll see how it turns out since most of these modern novels start good and end up being trash later
