So far, it's just been scouring sketchy sites for epubs. I also tried webnovel/qidian, but it is paywalls so much that I don't think I'd ever go back. Is there any app/sites that is similar to manga sites but for novels? If not, what is your method for reading?

Isn't this the whole purpose of Novel Updates? Use the series finder to look for an appropriate novel and then use the link provided to get to the translation.

I just read what I like that I can actually read. If it goes to QI then the novel just got Thanos snapped and forgotten through its entirety.

Just type in a title on the search bar and let fate take its course.

Not gonna lie, I got tired of QI taking my money but slapping me in the face with MTL (without great editing) so unless it's a certain translator I feel like supporting I normally read QI stuff in aggregators (I have always harped on quality if you want to make money off my addictions, like I want the purest not some stepped on bs lol)

Though if it's on any non pay wall site I recommend using their site to read or app if they have it. Except tapread I don't recommend reading any of the translations there...

Sites that steal a bunch of translations from other people, and re-posts all the stories on their own site.

It’s convenient for the reader to have everything in one place... but a scummy practice for the aggregator sites to do so. They’re mostly bots that steal translations to make money from pageviews.

Admittedly, back when I used to read fan-translated manga, I would do so on those aggregator/pirate sites. They were just so convenient, since I don’t know of any directory sites that kept track of manga updates & links... I mean, there’s bakamangaupdates, but it’s not so well-designed.

With Asian-translated web novels, I do try to read off of the original translator’s site. NovelUpdates is well designed & easy to use, so I prefer to go here to see updates & get links instead of reading off of aggregator sites.

It's against the rules to list those websites here. A simple Google search for most novels will turn up aggregates.

I would read books from translator's site itself found in NU. So NU is now my only place for me to read online.

Yes, that's what I meant since I've been bookmarking release on NU reading list. For western books, I'll browse my local library for them and borrow it for leisure reading

Just input *title* - *chap #* in google and you're all set. That's how I found these free sites.

P.S. I have to delete most of the message coz' it's against the rules to post these sites here.
