Discussion Question on God and Devil World?

I heard that this novel has a lot of racism and sexism, is ti true? If it is does it make the story bad and cringe worthy? Did the author write the story with making racism and sexism in mind? Or did not affect the story at all?

 

oh it does, a lot. The mc is very clearly racist towards a group of japanese at one point and is extremely sexist. I stopped reading it because he's a humongous sexist asshole

 

it's racism, sexist and all the bad thing you could expect when humanity is destroyed. it actually fit in the story, what can you expect when an zombie apocalypse actually happened?

its all part of human nature that blossoms forth during apocalyptic times...don't tell me you've never watched shows like The Walking Dead or Z Nation?

 

Mild racism and sexism..novel tagged as Mature...kids with closed mind dont read it..just go read doraemon or something

 

The book is trying to create a realistic view of what would happen when there is anarchy. So there is racism, rape, violence, etc.

The MC is kind of racist but it's not as bad as people claim. It's more of a '' my people first '' kind of mentality. And the story does show that the Chinese are just bad on my occasions.

 

I wouldn't mind that the most but sidetracking, no proper story for a long while now...I remember there was a really good start. MC is just going all around doing the same thing over and over, conquer a new city with his new allies of which you won't remember a single one, not to mention the old ones and there are a lot of them... By this point I'm hoping he finally conquers enough so the plot can progress otherwise I'm not far off from droping it, ofc there is a lot of racism and sexicsm.

 

The book is just showing how realistic it would be when everyone was rapist/serial killer/arrogant rich kid/government official and lastly military who love their power after apocalypse and brain dead soldiers who listen to orders when world have ended.

 

well the racism is there, but if you had to chose between your people and other races of people you would obviously chose your people. And if you see a certain race of people doing certain things you would group that thing with the race as a whole regarless if its true or not.And personaly I think it has to do with your tolerance level and things you've seen or experienced to really say,hey this is too much or I don't mind too much you know

 

No he is not racist nor sexist it's simply the author's brain is brainwashed by chinese propaganda and he has a few encounters with the outside world since he is the usual japanese shitty MC.

 

If you seriously don't believe that this is exactly what would happen then your world view is incredibly naive
