It’s complicated. So the MC has been told that he’s the reincarnation of the elven king who is redhead’s lover, when in reality, the elven king was jilted by redhead for an enslaved human named Hui (true past life of MC). Also Hui unintentionally stole the elven king’s power. Then there’s lots of misunderstandings by the 3MLs and curses cast by the elven king before the elven king had died which led everyone to forget their memories of past lives. That’s why all 3MLs abuse the transmigrated MC in the present cus they forgot yet felt familiar with him. MC’s soul gets flung to the past in arc2, and though the storyline is mainly the same, there are some deviations. Arc3 is MLs repent.
Yep, because amnesiac redhead chose MC over the son despite the son’s dirty tricks to rid MC and have redhead for himself. That’s the gist of it but I think there was something eviler going on, maybe like the dead-but-will-be-ressurected-to-humiliate-the-MC elven king and the elven king’s cronies using the son against the MC. I forgot.

Sigh, the word angst is kind of an understatement here, once again falls under the category of, no matter what they[ML] do to repent, it means nothing. I'm surprised MC's mind didn't just break completely and never recover. What I'm curious about is why Xiao Han helped MC to the extent of sacrificing himself, just what reason he has to go that far, or just a poor 'support ml syndrome' cannon fodder there?
