there are so many novels getting licensed by J-Novel Club and Seven Seas, i am surprised how come this dint go in their radar YET.....it feels as tho they stalk the NU page and see which novels do well and then poach it....BUT this particular novel got no traction, compared to the popularity of the manga......so how to get this in their attention?.....
I never heard of those novel sites, but I'm pretty sure that although that novel didn't gain any traction, it was most likely decently popular and common troupes, so it was just easier to poach compared to other popular isekai novels.
It is business put the aspect of potential aside like how many copy did it sell in Country of Origin so they can assess the value. The other point I assume they go to publisher not just one author, so they can get better conditions for buying rights for some novels not just one. It may be a mix of it.
