    In the more immediate case I think that only Phi Sora will join on a more permanent basis and not a 6-month contract. And Seo Yuhui.

    The needles would be the old man's secret technique. I figured it was supposed to help with training somehow, or boost someone's power. I wonder if it helped with the healing.

    I figured they unlock the potential of the body or something, like boosting all abilities, and kinda aid with healing. He was healed by something else

    Yeah, "unlocking the potential of the body" is more in line with my expectations. I could see it helping with healing, but tbh it seems like an awkward time to be doing it, while he's been recovering from grievous injuries for months.

    Next thing y'know he'll wake up to find himself on a treadmill.

    I do wish they explain the needles more, so we won't have to guess and make up theories about how they work. I honestly know nothing about acupuncture, so I can't even guess properly. The best I can come up with, those needles unlock physical abilities of the body and stimulate the biological processes happening inside, thus aiding in faster recovery.

    No, they haven't. That's why I am saying that his potential was unlocked. Like, he will have an easier time while training and will be able to level up his physical abilities faster. Also, things like recovery rate, etc, are not in the status. In addition, he has all of his stats temporarily reduced because he was pretty much dead, so it makes sense that his status didn't go up at the moment. I think it should work similarly to how he ate the phoenix and other crap. They didn't directly increase his status immediately, but as soon as he started training, it was going up like crazy.
