I used a random number generator. lychee insisted I fix duplicates, but I decided against it for reasons of fairplay and laziness. Also one reason I bought so many votes was to demonstrate the evils of capitalism. xD Good game, everyone. \o/
Aaah... how evil indeed. I was having fun until now but seeing the numbers made me sad. Congratulations on your win.
My goodness how did anyone win besides @BB_Tensei ? I was playing a simple game but you were on a whole other playing field! Anyways @lychee that was fun, thanks for hosting it!
I am just amazed that nobody thought about spending +1k nuffies on the last day to just add number after number (begining with 55 and going one up each time) so they could win everything. EDIT: BTW you should do it next year to @lychee, just add a participation fee and limit the amount of bought atempts to 1-3 each day. it's fun while it lasts and i should have just used my nuffies on the plan so i could win.
i was going to. I even mentioned it in the thread about how i couldve bought 120 (130 now) votes. But then i thought about what lychee said and how tensei had a hugh chance of winning, plus the jackpot was already at 16-17k, thats a lot of possible votes. Additionally, on the last day, people couldve done what i would done and bout a lotta votes, and i wouldve wasted 13k. Im a nuffie hoarder and didnt want to waste
I was looking out for something like that and had a contingency plan if a bunch of big spenders decided to hit the jackpot, but saw that nobody wanted to take the risk. xD Kinda sad, would have won more nuffies. I intentionally left gaps in the lower numbers, so that people wouldn't know exactly where I placed the higher numbers. Overall I didn't have to close off ranges of numbers more than once, as a psychological tactic.
The numbers have been posted. I had some reserve for filling other numbers. You can tell by how much the jackpot grows and how the lowest number grows. Guesses tend to cluster, and people are more likely to pick certain numbers.
But I fed the jackpot two days in a row. How did you know I wasn’t going to do it again the last day?
I made sure to win on certain days to control the flow. When people get emotional, they are easier to predict. Of course I still took a risk and could have lost, but my chances were pretty high.
Actually I was wondering if the 12 days shouldn’t have started on Christmas day. Since it’s supposed to be the period until Jan.6th, right?
@lychee I got a new game for you. Let this game go on for any number of days you want (let's just say 4 days for this). You have the numbers 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, ..., 100. Each day every participant get 10 gusses with the posibility to buy 10 more. The participants can use the guesses as they like. Eks. Using 10 guesses at the number 63, or 1 guess on ten diffrent numbers. At the end of the game you tally up the result and those guessing the number chosen the least amount of times win. But there is also a catch the prize is split among everyone betting on that number acording to how many % of the guesses they have placed on it. Eks. The wining number have 20 guesses and one guy have 5 guesses the rest are only single guesses. That guy guessing on the number 5 times get 25%of the prize while the rest only 5 % each.
