He gained his own foothold in society since he realized he couldn't keep depending on ML. ML is a crazy but sweet puppy with a maiden heart. I also think that the author dislike rebirth scum gongs so much. All the scum gong got rebirth at the point where they couldn't undo their past regrets. There's also an extra about a scum gong who didn't get the shou in the end, the shou went with his true love who took care of him and they lived happily while the scum gong lived in regret.
Their first time (I think) was extremely traumatic actually. Near death rape. To be exact: ML gone rabid animal, MC tried to rescue ML's high speed spirit collapse. ABO world, pheromones...MC saved ML in exchange for inside and outside serious tearings. MC had to be put in repair solution tank to be fixed. Since tech is high, he was fine in a day or so...Other than that, yeah ML was cute.

Once he spread rumors that MC stole his research work, got caught, and that's why MC resign (MC resign because of the disputes AND he was about to get married). Too bad, Wen Run was already reborn, he helped MC with evidence, and RX reputation was in tatter instead. Then, RX tried to used his usual trick to ML. He acted pitiful, saying bad thing about MC, telling ML that MC loved ZY and asked ML to divorced MC in a party. ML didn't care and was about to leave. RX then followed and tried to touch ML, so then he could gain ML feeling for MC (with system help). ML attacked him with mental power and claimed RX tried to seduce him. RX tried to act pitiful, blaming ML and MC. MC asked for surveillance video. It showed RX was the one who approach ML. He lost face and people said he's a slut. Apparently, they are in the third time line. Spoiler: Three timelines First timeline is the original book. (MTLed so not 100% accurate) The book was abandoned/a pit(?). This was not clear. Just that the author was fried by fans because of the twist/ending. The true ML all along was the duke and not the first fiance. Second timeline is when Ruan Xi transmigrated and almost successfully ruin the MC. All reborned MLs foreshadowed that MC went missing amidst the rebellion. Then they realized the true face of Ruan Xi before getting reborn. This timeline didn't end. It was revealed that MC went missing because he met ML's rebellion leader persona and they fell in love, taking the plot back to the right track. So the system reversed the timeline again, taking them to the current one. Third timeline, the system was already weak because of the reset, making it easy for MC to retaliate. Also, RX mistakenly paired the two protagonists, in which ML's halo protected MC. At the rebellion part, MC got reborn as well, remembering all timelines. Although he is not like MC's scum dad, he failed in the emotional department real bad. While ML was in coma, he took command and asked to get the duchess. When asked what if the MC won't do the resonance with ML, he immediately ordered to find another omega just in case. Of course he was reprimanded and demoted later. At home, he have his omega, Lin Yang(?). They are married for 6yrs. LY chased after him when they were young because G save her/him and fell in love with G. They got married and LY stayed at home to care for the inlaws. G never derailed and loyal, gave things to his omega, but won't mark LY. He didn't see the danger of LY's allergy to inhibitors as he thinks being in the warzone, he is more in danger and doesn't complain. He shuts down LY as he likes, gives him medicines that will 'calm' him down to stop their fighting, and would call to his inlaws to talk LY. LY parents are really toxic as well. You'll really just fell bad for LY situation. On the day of his estrus, the inhibitor failed. And bro-in-law, bryan something, was actually inlove with him, and at first holding into reason but when the inhibitor failed goes well this is my chance and it was his brother who called him after all. (LY has many condition brought by his allergy, uncontrollable heat that should be fixed as he have an alpha, pheromones caused by stress, etc etc, anyway it's like pheromone riot at this point. Being in heat is really painful for him). Bro and LY was classmates. LY was saved by an alpha who temporarily marked him and found G who have the same smell. Apparently, G and bro almost have almost the same smell and its a mistaken identity. After this, LY was still burning with 40° degree fever and was sent to the hospital. He didn't feel anything and doubt the compatibility, even going to the hospital to do the test. So then their divorce got approved by MC. LY and bro disappeared, G's parents hide them. Surprisingly, G didn't go ape sht with MC but instead reflected and supported MC's cause even more. G tried to find LY but only found them in a backward planet after 12-14 yrs. Bro and LY were happy and living simple lives. G lamented that the two weak people he views before were happy with their lives. He went to their house and see the eldest child. He knew it was the child in LY's back then. He never had the courage (as usual) to barge in their life. LY and bro had two more children. G never marries again. When he was dying, his nephews were fighting for his assets. But then he named an heir, giving all inheritance and assets to his child who went away from home for many years. (Hinting it was LY's and bro eldest child). It was really really bittersweet so I talked a lot about it. Or maybe I was just reading too much into it. Though I really like both his and LY growth and sad for them. dont like that garnier didnt have his happy ending although he is such a dumb asshole..i just kinda like him (iknowimstupid) I dont like the part of lin yang betraying him with the brother (maybe cuz of past experience) although because this is ABO and he is in estrus so I also dont like that he give everything to lin yangs son with his brother like eh are you wrong in the head? no matter what youve done in the past .. you dont have to give it to them..I prefer him raising his own heir.
I felt complicated with him and that's why his extra is my favorite. Depending on which POV, he could be a traumatic victim with anxiety, or a typical alpha with old beliefs, or an abusive husband, or simply just an idiot in love. I wouldn't call what happened a betrayal as it's a really unfortunate event. But I just hate the cliche of mistaken identities. Lin Yang chase him and Ganier come to love this person, desperately so even if he is afraid of that person's identity as an omega. But after the revelation, it was a question of what Lin Yang truly love. Is is the image of that savior or did Lin Yang really came to love the person in front of him? When he came to the brother, was it out of desperation or was it because the brother was the real savior back then? Then didn't Lin Yang only love the person in the memory and it doesn't matter who? Most interesting about their extra was Ganier view on Omegas. Usually, omegas are the lesser people, made out to be the weakest and most in need of dependence. But for Ganier, he subconsciously felt fearful of their existence. How, no matter what great Alpha they are, their life could easily be taken by an Omega. That being said, no matter how high their compatibility, he felt rejected about it, but he loves Lin Yang as he is. On the other side, he also didn't understand the difficulties of Omegas and try not to hear it. While he loves Lin Yang as Lin Yang, he loves in his own term and refuse to see Lin Yang's omega side. The extra shows the difficulty of the pheromone side of the ABO. They could learn to love ignoring the pheromones but it just that, their lives still strongly revolve around it.
Not everyone is that strong for so called love. Some take loss of an unborn child seriously. If I were in LY position, I would have probably asked for divorce the second time my husband refused to sustain my child’s life and took my pain as tantrum. LY went to doctor. Wtf?
