Basically, it's ultra-nationalism mixed with a big dose of racism (against anything not chinese), a little bit of god complex and a heaping bowl of narcissistic egotism.

Usually it results in one or more of the following cliches (or their many variants):
    - All japanese are murderous, rapist subhuman monkeys that need to be exterminated
    - Koreans are inferior knockoffs of chinese
    - All western folk (especially americans) are corrupt, scheming, incompetent racist retards who scheme to destroy CHINA for teh evilz!
    - All chinese are glorious avatars of the divine might of china who cant do any wrong and if they are evil, they're just misguided puppets of evil japanese or westerners.

It's most common in modern setting stories. Some stories do just the absolute bare minimum they need to do so as to prob make the censors happy but some pile it in by the truckload.

I find myself dropping alot after the school arc.
Its very easy to make an entertaining school or tournament arc, but once they get pass that and try to reach into world politics, I find many are really bad at it and get bored.

I avoid all stories tagged with yuri, yaoi, or female protagonist.

Most of the novels I've dropped I gave up on because they became boring. Slice of life + slow releases is a perfect combo for getting me to drop a novel.

I'll drop stories if the translation quality drops too low.

I probably tried and finished at least one novel on every genre, so my mood is the main factor. There are days that I'm willing to read trashy novels and enjoy it

other than the things you listed, sometimes when the translator releases in extremely short parts i cannot. Sometimes, if they put a next button and organize it well, it’s fine. but when i have to click back and forth and find my way through the story like it’s a maze, i just stop reading.

There was a time someone released in like 300 word parts on tumblr. It was organized so bad.

I drop a novel when it becomes boring, or there's a harem in it out of nowhere. I hate harem stories very much.

I really hate it when the MC is so dumb. I can understand when he misses things or forgets it but being downright dumb? I cannot stand those.

I cannot stand when for add drama in villainess noble girl novel a nice and naive original protagonist became a bitch just for the sake of drama and have for sin the fact to be pregnant out of wedlock and not be virgin when she was raped and Her punishment is to be gang raped or sent in a bothrel eck i'm sure that Her future husband wasn't a virgin but for him it's fine because his a boy . I'm became tired of double standard rape culture and sexism in novel like if a girl have many lover she's a bitch , a whore but for a guy it's a Casanova , a ladykiller , a ladies' man .

A protagonist who is exceptionally average or stupid, who everyone else praises as some sort of genious for figuring out the obvious. I can tolerate someone who starts out as an asshole, or someone who starts out stupid.

But someone who stays that way, or worse, gets praised for it like they are amazing, is just hard to read.

All the ones up there plus some other stuff like Seized by the System they introduced a dog and I dropped it not long after. Also racism. The racism wasn't in that novel.

I Found A Planet protagonist apparently describes all people other than Chinese people as genetically evil and greedy after he murdered the last survivors of a planet for profit. And he celebrated when some place got nuked (America maybe? can't remember). What made translators pick that novel is beyond me it is even a pretty generic sci-fi cultivation novel, but more importantly he hates all of us, for the dumbest reason.

Bad ending is definitely it for me. So I tend to avoid the tragedy tag. That and BL is something I can't really get into (I'm fine with yuri though)

I also tend to drop a book when the other pulls unnecessary drama out of nowhere, I mean that\s what ruined Seirei Gensouki for me.
