My dad, back when I was a wee boy, taught me and my older brother how to shoot his .22 handgun and when we got older he and my uncles took us out hunting and taught us how to use a rifle...of some make or another x'D I can't remember after all these years
I've been able to fire an AUG Steyr a few times (about 3 mags of 10 or 20 rounds i think on semi auto) back when i was a bit younger (bout 15 or 16) and my dad's base (most of the units at least) had a big open day. The first two shoots were meh but i got pretty good score with the third mag. only missed like one or two shots with the rest hitting in most of the inner 3 or 4 rings. Aus btw.
Rifle. In some countries, military training is mandatory, and using a rifle in a live-ammo target practise is part of training. .
Pistol, rifle, shotgun. I really like the Beretta PX4 storm 9mm. Not a fan of shotguns. Love the ar platform .223 my buddy had an older model it was accurate as heck. I'm from Texas so guns are far from rare, heck my first time I went shooting I was like 9 and my uncle let us shoot a few of his weirder pistols, yes weirder, ones that didn't follow the typical designs. I've handled a revolver both .357 and 22lr but never fired one.
M-16 back before M-4s replaced them, M-203s though technically that isn't a "gun". Trained on the Charlie-G, just no live fire. The highlight of my military "career" as is was calling in a pair of F-16s for a simulated bombing run. Just FYI, "Gun" isn't the correct term for what you seem to be looking for, firearms or weapons is more accurate because the term "gun" is usually reserved for very big artillery, like artillery guns, tank guns and the famous 16-inch "gun" of the Iowa battleships.
Trained on MTs before for tests on guns... So normally the military issued (rifles and handguns) are covered from disassembly, maintenance, assembly, accessories, firing and accuracy test are covered for me ~ Revolvers... Well my father and my mom side's forefathers are very militaristic in nature so there's i was actually been given a revolver as a gift when i'm a child with a bullet for that gun with my name on it... Dunno what this signifies though ~ And yes i've tried it once too before
*raises hand* likes to hunt! Voted everything but tank and nothing xD I'm counting fireworks mortars and hairspray/ether potato cannons as both are just as lethal as firearms. --edit-- Just remembered I've fired a friends miniature black powder cannons as well. Its amazing what kind of damage a half pound ball barring will do...
From U.S.A. and I have been to a gun range and have been hunting. Also, used hunting rifle to do so I might have done some practicing with a pistol but that was a while ago.
Pistol, rifle. I own two rifles I keep at the local range which I'm a member of. I don't hunt often. When I do hunt the main game are wild rabbits (a pest), possum (ditto) and boar on our family properties. Possum and rabbit fur sells well since it's warm. I like the taste of wild boar a lot and like to smoke it with manuka, horopito or kawakawa. I'm from New Zealand.
No reason to? I’ve never been to a gun range and it’s not really a sport that I’m particularly interested in
I'm American and never. My German neighbor let us hold his unloaded pistol once though. Shinier and heavier than expected. My Mexican neighbors used to demolish small objects in our shared front yard a long time ago by shooting them to bits, and I saw their rifles and things while visiting. My brother goes with his friends sometimes to the shooting range and had told me I should go too. (Gotta be ready in case of an apocalypse, right?) Before he went, the only guns he had ever fired were in games.
I'm American and live in America. I have shot a pistol, revolver, shotgun, and rifle. I don't own a gun but I do own a nice collection of nerf guns!
I live in a country where guns are against the law(probably) there are air rifles and air pistols though, I've used them once.
