What is the term or word that you made someone you hate get promoted to a better location or position just to get rid of them? One scenario is you hate your coworker and there is a better position opened up far away where you have no interest in.
While there is no exact word, there can be phrases which can be cleverly used to mean the same. Like silver lining or blessing in disguise.
There's a word in my language but I don't think there's a specific English word. There could be a German word for it too, what with their tendency to smash multiple words together and call it a new word.
I don't know if there's a specific term for this concept in English. I usually see it expressed as "promoting someone to a position where they can't do any harm".
