I don’t remember the story being about the above. SR starts with mc being dumb cos of training he’s doing. Him and his grandfather are hiding I guess(?) I don’t remember anything about 2 souls and him dying. It’s beeb a while since I’ve read the novel. When does all this happen?
I don't remember when exactly, but it's quite a bit into the novel. It's only after he leaves the continent and goes to the land of chaos that we start seeing clues about his family and paternal grandfather. Spoiler So basically, his family was the strongest gold-rank force in the central continent. MC previous soul used to be trash. He fell for the woman's trap and got himself killed. This was all a plot to bait MC's father, who rushed in to avenge his son, who then got surrounded and heavily injured. MC's family fell from the #1 spot and had to go into hiding, waiting for a chance to come back while interacting with other races of the universe, selling them artifacts, since his grandfather was a top-tier artificer.
