Okay so I was reading this book an eternity ago and forgot to add it to my list and lo and behold I just remembered it a whole two months later Basically this girl pushes to get married to this prince (eighth?) and finally gets it, only to find out after she’s helped him achieve success that he’s betrayed her with her childhood best friend that was secretly always jealous of her. Like she was in the middle of labor and I’m pretty sure they put the baby back?? and killed her She’s reborn later and gets engaged to the guy who’s the son of a family friend instead and she works on archery and gets fit in order to prepare for later face slapping I’m pretty sure her childhood friend is part of a merchant family and MC pushes them to buy a trade route that she knows goes to hell later so they fall from grace Thanks in advance!
It’s so hard to find because a lot of the typical second chance revenge novels include revenge on evil stepmothers or relatives in general and I don’t remember our MC ever having issues with her family. Like I’m pretty sure in her first life they all died and she wanted to keep them safe in her second life
I also remember that her dad never took any other wives or concubines and when she and her family met with the ML and his family to discuss their engagement she said that she would only marry him if he did the same and he agreed
No it not that one. There is a two things I remember about the novel @DealingWithIt is looking for. Scum best friend is a merchant’s daughter and MC gets them to buy a trade route that she knows will go to hell Gets engaged to the son of a family friend instead (ML is known to be heartless and cruel from stories about him on the battlefield ig) Stipulates that he—like her father—must only have one wife and no side chicks
Eeeh, little late but manga of this title is called "Revenge of a Fierce Princess" if someone wants to do their homework to find novel version of it.
I haven't read entire story yet so I am not sure this is the one but it reminded me of: https//www.novelupdates.com/series/mei-gongqing/ It's been a long while since I read it
