Question Isekai Skills

Like a lot of people, I've read quite a few Isekai manga and novels. In a good portion of them the protagonist is sent to a medieval fantasy world. But before being sent out a God or Godess gives the a few powerful skills or cheats to aid them in their new life. A generic formula in most stories, but still if you were given a choice, what skill would you pick for yourself?

So that's the question I'm curious about. Let's that you suddenly found yourself in front of a Deity right now that's going to send you into another world and gives a choice of three skills or powers. You don't know if you're going to start as a child or as your current self, but you do know that you will have either two active skills and one passive or one active and two passive skills. What would you go with and why?

Active skills are things like controlling fire, shooting lightning, mind powers, boosts, flight, shapeshifting, healing magic, appraisal, size changing, minion taming, duplicating, etc.

Passive skills are things like language knowledge, excessive mana, regeneration, far sight, instant learning, enhanced awareness, luck, enticing charm, heat resistance, sensitive senses, etc.

 

Active skill: Teleportation
Passive skills: Instant learning, Infinite potential

 

Sounds like you would play the role of a constantly learning traveler. It would take some time to get the ball rolling, but at some point your abilities would be quite OP. I like it.

 

Passive skill: Omnipotence

Active Skill: Omnipresence

Active Skill: Omniscient

 

Passive Skill: Super Knowledge

Active Skill: Reality Warp and Skill Creation

 

Active : unarmed fighting skills
Passive : increase growth(stats and skill learning), language comprehension

active skill:magic control

 

You guys are just posting the most OP bullshit possible, that gets boring really fast, therefore i shall think of skills that would be OP and make for an interesting story

Passive:
A healing factor, it keeps the body strong, increases lifespan and is an all around safety net against damage

Active:
A growing power is a must, i say self cloning, with hive mind incorporated pretty please

A power to become compatible with the isekai is the other must have so i say Assimilation, a power to absorb organic matter and incorporate its structure into the body, this allows to gain the same magic affinities as other people and creatures

There you go, an army of assimilators, an army of me

I read this in a novel once, forgot its name but it was really unique.

The absolute ability to make a person piss or shit themselves. This makes killing the demon king a lot easier except if its like a golem or undead, the you are screwed.

 

So basically God? That works.

The ultimate creator/producer.

Pretty versatile and useful.

Good for when you are on your own.

 

it would be more interesting to create several versions of myself, like having a hundred me pretend to be a new breed of super quimera and terrorize the country while another me is the hero who kills them, or pretend to be a rider of a rare beast and as a beast mess with everyone around

Reminds me of I Shall Seal the Heavens that had an item that made people's anuses explode. Not a conventional skill, but one can't argue with the results.

 

Whatever skill this one got

 

Active skill: Otherworld dictionary (allows me to get any information that I wish for as long as that knowledge exists in that world)
Passive: Instant learning & a BS skill that allows me to gain skills and powers from those I defeat.

 

That's because the question isn't. "if you were writing an isekai story, what skills would you give your character", the question is if you were isekaid, so obviously you should maximize your benefits, not try to write yourself an epic life story. Plus, who knows what you have to deal with on the other side, better safe than sorry. In worst case, you can artificially limit yourself to spice up your life, but no reason to not grab all you can.

Amazo can replicate any power. Which is similar to instant learning and power stealing. The only issue with it that it also replicates weaknesses.

I'm a fan of knowledge, strategy, and cunning plans myself. But I see that you didn't use any physical skills, meaning that you would have to rely on others. At least at first.

 

Depends on what we know about the world going in.

Possabilities would include Karmic magic, like the wiccan 3 fold rule, especially if it could negate pesky traps like slavery magic. Punishes the evil and helps the pure.

Also : Nano/molecular fabrication with the magical equivalent of a computer capable of controlling, analyzing, and mapping it and my surroundings. Goal being to be able to make whatever I need, and convert materials to superior forms. be able to extract metals from the surroundings, repair equipment and even fix flaws that would cause issues down the line. Plus a decent source of initial funds since you can extract or fabricate materials you could sell without drawing to much attention (possibly even coinage, the mapping is partly detect trace amounts of metals so you can extract the materials to make perfect copies of coins, though likely just lower values ones at first).
