Dont think so he would have noted any outward appearance changes. Dark just means evil and that's only because a lot of his abilities are demon king derived hence the naming scheme does an evil route. Even dark elves generally get played off as evil in most fantasy stuff or atleast their origins since quite a lot of them are based on high elf's and such being corrupted hence dark. So dark isnt a racist connotation but an alignment based one when viewed from such angles hence mad scientist L remained white but is a dark human atleast indont think they noted any color change.
Poor miles. Poor vampires in general. But mostly, poor Miles. He's got a whole load of problems. 1. Gotta deal with all the punks wanting to challenge him, not liking how he's becoming the new mob front-man/local (visible) crime leader. 2. Gotta deal with the female vampires all wanting to take his position in order to have a chance at meeting Van, and he's gotta keep on telling them that will actually harm the plan. 3. As if the first two weren't enough, now he's gotta walk the freaking tight-rope of pretending to be in a protection-based relationship with Darcia.
