I think I understand most of the ending. The Immortal Astral Continent was not created by Wang Lin's Dream Dao, but the Immemorial God Realm was by using the Boundary Compass. I imagine that the ancient celestial and ancient ancestor were killed in the Immemorial God Realm by Slaughter, or All-Seer (Treasure Spirit), during one of Slaughters' reincarnations. They either got caught in the crossfire or tried to interfere. I am not sure in the overall created world. I've heard he is referred to in one way or another, but doesn't make an actual appearance. I do not remember any reference to Wang Lin in AWE, but I think POT and ISSH have a few references to RI or Wang Lin. I don't think I understand, when does Wang Lin meet someone in a ship at the end?

Oh! I see. I thought you meant a literal scene of him meeting someone on a ship at the end. Spoiler I'm not all caught up on the Er Gen created world so I'm still confused on who All Heaven or Old Man Extermination are in the world; the Ghost, God, Devil, Demon, Immortal thing is lost on me too. I just don't know enough of the lore I guess.
