lol, anyway how can we ask the young cute waifu to retire so early.... I mean retirement sound like old lady..... anyway, get ready for an upgrade.
Windows 7 is over 10 years old. If it were a person, it would be in fourth grade. Even with patches, the underlying architecture is over a decade old. At some point, all things have to be put to rest. Windows 7 is a dinosaur compared to Windows 10. I have a lot of good memories of Windows 7, largely because it wasn't Vista. Goodnight, sweet prince.
I kinda like Windows 7 since I still use it on my desktop. Because upgrading would break a majority of my installed programs. But my Windows 10 experience is... Very meh. * Can't use the Control Panel like I used to. * KEEPS reinstalling software that I don't want. * Very confusing start menu. Can still not figure out why I can sometimes add stuff and sometimes not add stuff to that access bar.
so true, debian8 Long term supports only lasted 5 years. and that's considered long, most Ubuntu only lasted 3 years. windows 7 LTS still can last 2 more years which make it 12 years, that's 4 times the life of Ubuntu....

Generally, you can't add portable apps by dragging them, but you should be able to make a shortcut and drag that instead (if you meant the taskbar). You can organize your Start Menu by directly going to "%ProgramData%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu" and editing shortcuts and folders in there)
