@Lonelycity wanted to make a Disney movie thread because he was in the mood to watch some fairytales, however, since his lazy he didn't want to do it himself. @AliceShiki is away writing, @Nyann is busy with holidays and @lychee is recharging so all that's left is me.

Honestly, though I'm not the biggest Disney buff. The last movie I saw was wreck it ralph 2 and that was a couple of months ago while I was flying. However, since I'm making the list I'll mention few of the memorable ones I know.
    • Mulan
    [IMG]
Probably one of my favourite animated movies, I recently rewatched it with some younger cousins and it still quite enjoyable. I especially love it's the main song "make a man out of you", so catchy.
The kingdom hearts levels based on it were quite decent too
    • Toy story 3
    [IMG]
I remember playing the videogame for the wii all those years back it was quite fun. The graphics were surprisingly good for a game based off a movie which I found super unexpected looking back at it. The game had a few really tedious and minor annoyances but quite good overall. The levels based around it for kingdom hearts was super fun too, piloting a mech and all. The movie was pretty good too with a beautiful ending. Toy Story 4 seems a bit heartless so I won't bother watching it since 3 served as a perfect finale already.

    • Hercules
    [IMG]
I'd definitely put this one on the top 3 Disney films for me. I really loved the art style and the characters too. It's also been in pretty much all KH games so it's had a lot of fun moments, although I'll say that the Hercules area was buggy as heck in 258/2 days and I had to restart the game twice.

    • Emperor's new groove
    [IMG]
I haven't actually seen the film itself but I've heard the main opening theme and saw the animated series. I loved both. All the characters are extremely lovable and memorable.

    • Wreck-it Ralph
    [IMG]
I really loved the first movie and could actually write an actual review about it...but nah. I give the first one a 5/5 and as for the second one a 3/5.

Well, that's enough shitposting. So what's your favourite Disney movie, I'm more of a Dreamworks fan myself mainly cause I've seen more of those recently.

Jokes aside, I think Hunchback of Notre Dame is their masterpiece. The antagonist is very humanlike with all his hypocrisy and flaw instead of overplayed shallow caricature they spit out these days.

    Still bring me chills yo

You know, technically and unless Disney sells it but marvel is now disney's, so movies like avengers and so on are in the list, but if it is a fairytales animation movie then I say "Shrek" (Yeah I know it belongs to pixar) but movies like 'Tangled' and 'Brave' are also good, maybe also 'Anastasia' :hmm:

I enjoyed Brave. The soundtrack was nice. 76% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.

@Lonelycity could also watch Brother Bear. 64% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. Soundtrack was pleasant.

Aladdin is a good movie. There's even a remake, if you wanted to watch it. 92% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.

Shrek was made by Dreamworks, which is owned by Comcast. It's not owned by Disney, but Shrek is a good movie. I also recommend it.

Ummm Sorry, I like the Disney Princess movies. So Tangled and Frozen are good.
Maybe get Disney Plus and you can see them all?

Finding nemo, incredibles the first and second toy story are better, monsters inc, ratatouille, a bugs life, ants is great, cars, zootopia, peter pan, sleeping beauty, 101 dalmatians, the sword in the stone and jungle book are must see disney, robin hood, the rescuers down under (i didnt care for the first rescuers), the fox and the hound is so wonderfully bittersweet, the great mouse detective made me a sherlock holmes fan, every guy has to see who framed roger rabbit at least for jessica rabbit, the original lion king. Ghibli sold the rights to spirited away so that is technically a disney movie now along with several other ghibli movies.

If you get the chance check out some of their non animated older movies. Homeward bound 1 and 2 are disney along with many others.

Only watch Disney films made when Walt Disney was still alive, before Eisner bought them out and started wearing their corpse as a skin suit.

    the original dumbo
back when i was very young and i only had the film on video i didn't understand where that pink elephants was all about
and Mickey, Donald, Goofy: The Three Musketeers is very good
    same as the movie
The Three Caballeros a very good classic with a recent serie about it that i haven't watched yet
or the fantasia movies are good for fans of classical music
alice in wonderland from 1951 is also very good

amd sword in the stone never failed to make me laugh
and for some jazz watch the aristocats
and the fox and the hound is very moving
and as last recommendation i have: The Black Cauldron, The Great Mouse Detective, Oliver & Company and Lady and the Tramp
basically every movie made before 2000 is very much worth watching
