After GJ death he realised how important she was in his life and what she means to him. But it doesn't seem like love. He never apologised. As far as I understood from mtl.
I was thinking that as more times they spend together, he becomes fond of her. But, there was habit where he worried about heroine, especially with how mature GJ is, he always priority heroine more (not as he loved heroine but with how unreliable she is). Maybe he actually comes to love GJ, but only realized how important she is when he already lost her.
Just binge read this, at the site where I read this, I left vaguely dissatisfied. There is a third chance/cycle, isn't there? The real GJ comes back in time, aware of everything that happened in the first and second life (including her body being taken and knowing that she was a novel character). She does her own thing after being reborn, which is great, and goes after that club guy who's probably her love interest now that she is herself. What I'm wondering about is the ML (the transmigrated FL/MC's hubby) because it's the same world at the end but the MC doesn't exist this time around which means that the ML would never meet her (even if he did meet the orig!MC, he wouldn't fall for her because what drew him in was the MC's personality, right?). He would end up marrying some other girl. It makes me sad to think about it.
