Also check out: NUF Community Garden Welcome! いらっしゃいませ!欢迎光临! + INTRODUCTION + NUF Restaurant and Inn is a role-playing game about running a restaurant (and inn). Players can be staff, customers, or switch between both! This is a super flexible game! Feel free to borrow the kitchen, make new dishes, buy groceries, new appliances, and more! Watch your finances and make your earnings grow! Customers have unlimited money, so don't be shy about enjoying other player's creations! ~ ~ ~ + HOW TO BE STAFF + Anyone can join and become restaurant staff. Just post in the thread and you can get started! All new staff start out with $100 (USD). You should use this money to go do some groceries online. Some websites that are good for referencing prices: Groceries: Freshdirect.com, Walmart Grocery, Amazon Grocery, Peapod.com Miscellaneous: Amazon, ebay, Overstock.com Note: For a US zip code, you can use 10001 (New York City) Note: You don't have to be exact about prices; approximate is good enough! Note: Feel free to convert USD to a different currency or browse your own preferred shops Once you have (pretend) purchased your groceries, you should make something! The restaurant owns a few common appliances (see below), but you may need to buy your own appliances if you want something fancy. You can also ask some other players if you can borrow their appliances. In your forum post, see if you can roleplay making your recipe. Feel free to use as much or as little detail as you like! Finally, when you have completed your recipe, magically store the dish in your shop inventory. Now you have to sell it to a customer! I recommend posting your shop inventory at the end of all your posts. Don't forget to list a price and quantity for that item! Advertise the best you can! As you play the game, you should keep track of your finances as you do groceries and customers buy your stuff. Don't forget to include your personal balance in every post! Every post you make as a staff member, you can add $1 (USD) to your balance as a "salary". It is a small amount, but if you're doing a lot of roleplaying it should add up! ~ ~ ~ + HOW TO BE A CUSTOMER + Being a customer is super easy! If you spot something that you like, tag the user to buy it. Customers have unlimited money so don't be afraid to buy! That said, roleplaying is nice, so don't buy things that are total ripoffs. Try to see yourself as a typical person visiting a restaurant, and most people have a normal budget! You should expect good service from your waiter/waitress too! Players can switch between acting as "Staff" and "Customers", but you cannot buy your own store items. ~ ~ ~ + HOW TO MAKE AN INN + Spoiler Staff can purchase a hotel room for $1000. This is a bare-bones room with nothing but a bed and bathroom. You will need to buy some more furniture to make it in a proper hotel room! Once you are satisfied with it, you can list your hotel room in your shop inventory. At this point, you can try to rent it out to customers! ~ ~ ~ + COMMON APPLIANCES & EQUIPMENT + Kitchen stove (Gas) (Household) Oven (Household) Sink Pantry and cabinets Refrigerator Freezer Washing Machine Toaster Microwave Blender Kettle Coffee Maker Hand Mixer Mixing bowls Measuring spoons Measuring cups Knives Knife sharpener Silverware Cutting board Spatula Wooden spoons Strainer/Colander Kitchen tongs Can opener Peeler Whisk Kitchen scissors Bottle opener Corkscrew Funnel Meat thermometer Pots and pans, including sauce pans, skillets, and stock pot Iron skillet Casserole dishes Baking sheets Food storage containers Dish towels Oven mitts and/or potholders Ice cube trays

So cute!!! Thank you for your patronage, little one! I wonder if someone will make candy! Or buy candy? But buying candy is boring! I will take a cup too! @pass1478 You should also make an iced version! Or a coldbrew version! I like cold coffee -------------------- Let's see... what should I make next? I think I want to stick with the fruit theme. Smoothies? Then? I've seen some people use almond milk but I've always wondered if it was really necessary? I'm going to pick up a gallon of whole milk ($2.68 from Walmart grocery) while I figure out what else I want. Feel free to use the milk for your coffee! It's free for customers! I only bought one kind! I actually always buy 2% at home, but I was always told that skim milk doesn’t taste as good. EDIT: Whoops, wrong account ------------------------ Money: $92.32 Fuyuuri's shop: Clementine - $0.50 each - stock: 18 Whole Milk - $1.00 / cup - stock: 16 Whole Milk (for coffee) - free
It really depends on the person’s tastes. When I was a small pig-bunny, 1% tasted best. Now skim milk tastes best to me. Another memeber of the family preferred 2%, which I find barely tolerable.
That's interesting! I had no idea! What does the higher-fat content milk taste like to you? Actually when I was in China, I always felt like the milk that came in those packets tasted pretty strange. ------------------------ Money: $93.32 Fuyuuri's shop: Clementine - $0.50 each - stock: 18 Whole Milk - $1.00 / cup - stock: 16 Whole Milk (for coffee) - free
*sips coffee* Ooooh...My family always drank whole milk but I didn't like the taste so my mom let me have juice/tea. I occasionally drank a bit of milk with coffee or tea and regularly used it for cooking. But after I moved to Tokyo, my husband had to have a glass of cold milk before going to bed so I got used to buy it every week. One day I tasted it with cookies and it was delicious! ^^ though if I have more than 1 cup, it makes my stomach hurt a bit... [ >A<); it has become somewhat an intern joke in the family that I'm not as tall as my brothers because I skipped my daily glass of milk!!]
... *regularly drank 1-4 glasses of milk a day, plus milk with cereal, she loved it so much* ... *.................not tall...............*
