    - SC wakes up due to noise from the soldiers’ camp. He and ZZR rushes to the camp.

    - 8 soldiers are dead (the transporters who just arrived). They were shot with a gun.

    - The rest arrives at the camp. GSY suspects the murderer is a professional and also a serial killer who just likes to kill, not for a purpose. So there will be more victims in the long run.

    - Also, the murderer covered the victims in their quilts to blur the time of death. The 3 volunteers had to register the time if they wanted to leave their tent, so it should be one of them.

    - GSY suggest SC uses his skill, “Sound Heart” which can break people spiritually and control them. Then they won’t be able to lie to him.

    - Just when they are about to investigate the three people, a soldier rushes in. Something got blown up and attracted carnivorous birds to them.

    - XL notes that in the birds' eyes, they're probably... worms. Such a huge amount of "worms" gathered together is simply a big meal.

    - SC saved ZZR from a bird. When they were pressed together, ZZR suddenly kissed him lightly. ZZR: “… I used to protect you. Now you’re stronger, and don’t need me at all. Suddenly I feel a bit lost.”

SC loses his anger and gets up, replying: “Yeah, yeah. Change it to me to protect you now.”

    - Lilith gets pissed off at the smog and uses her powers to make them able to see through it. SC sees the soldiers and the woman (YM) wearing infrared visors. Unlike SC’s group, they can only see thermal images and not the identity of the person.

    - They figure out that the murderer will take the chance to do something. They can’t find the other two volunteers and 5 researchers. SC orders the twins to find them.

    - XL orders Lilith and Ackerman to find DH, since he should be a target too.

    - XL drives the birds away but almost overdraws on her energy. They rush to DH and finds him injured. Lilith and Ackerman saved him but didn’t see the murderer.

    - DH is still heavily injured so ZZR heals him.

    - Lilith is so cute she ran up to cuddle up to ZZR’s leg because of the warm light and almost fell asleep

    - DH says he recognised the killer – the weapon used to kill him was a spear like the one lent to SC yesterday. The killer must be the man that lent him the weapon (WH), but SC feels something isn’t right.

    - However, when the soldiers gather up and report, they found WH is missing. His backpack is left behind in the tent and they find the murder weapon abandoned somewhere in the grass too.

    - The soldiers’ casualty is huge.

    - After the camp calmed down, GSY and XL found clues. They concluded that WH is part of a group. Lilith found that the group had surrounded the soldiers. (“We cats are better at hunting than those stupid dogs!”)

    - However, they don’t tell DH because WH should still have an accomplice in the camp!

    - Lilith and SLS (one of the twins) find and tail WH. He meets with someone.

    - … Holy fck!. The accomplice is DH. DH is angry and holds up a gun to WH. The killing of transporters were in the plan, but WH even dared to try to kill him!

    - So, all 3 volunteers and DH are part of the group. Their aim is Wuling. WH has a book that can help them find Wuling.

    - WH desperately explains that he’s not the one who killed DH! YM saw the people that killed him, and it was another group of people also interested in Wuling. They framed WH so that DH will get angry and kill him.

    - And then DH kills WH. The other group is his people. YM, who WH thought was bought by him, is also under DH.
...Except, there’s another force in the group beside WH and DH, led by the head researcher. So no, DH didn’t accidentally almost killed himself. The other force is led by a Dr. Yang, who DH hates.

    - DH orders his adjutant to guard YM carefully, don’t let the book fall into others’ hands, and leaves.

    - SC sighs that they really don’t know enough about this world. SC decide to use Sound Heart on ZFR (the other volunteer), who’s low-key and has participated twice in the Dongjin expedition.

    - At night at the next camp, SC easily bypasses the sentry and go to ZFR’s tent and interrogate him

    - Returning to their tree house, SC finds ZZR still awake. They discuss how to get the book. ZZR uses a spell – freezing time such that he appears to move instantly. To demonstrate, he uses it to kiss SC lol

    - The spell’s limit is one minute. SC says that ZFR doesn’t know much. He seems to be on DH’s side, but has actually been bought by Dr Yang. They can only find YM.

    - After one month, they haven’t been able to get YM alone. Then one day Lilith (as a forest banshee) saw the book in DH’s hands… in his dreams. He was reading the book, so there’s a high chance the dream was a subconscious memory. Hence the book should be with him now.

    - After a week, ZZR got the book. They open a meeting to decipher the book. The middle of the book has a compass (presumably to Wuling) and the book is basically a science journal. It talks about animals, plants etc. but all in normal size!

    - No wonder the forces are vying for the “treasure” in Wuling. They probably think that there are great inventions/relic left behind that would be useful against the nature.

    - SC and co. thinks that getting to Wuling might be able to restore them to normal size.

    - According to the book, Wuling should be a floating island. It can move, hence the compass.

Arc 2 is pretty slow, thanks to all the scheming stuff

    Final part of arc 2:
    - Suddenly, there’s an alarm from the camp, highest level alert. Four bears are attacking the camp. The camp disperses in different directions.

    - While running, ZZR again is the slowest haha. SC pulls him into a fireman carry, ZZR feels a bit embarrassed about being carried like this by the person he likes (also SC’s shoulder is digging into his stomach, ow). When he tries to shift, SC SLAPS HIS BUTT ON REFLEX HAHAHAHAHAHA.

    - ZZR is stunned. SC awkwardly pretends that never happened.

    - GSY reveals his suspicions to the rest – this kind of danger should have been detected by the satellite, so clearly this is a set up to steal the book. The soldiers were sacrificed due to the struggle of interests.

    - XL can detect the surroundings. This world really improved her ability. She couldn’t do this before. Even SC also has improved his martial arts.

    - They get far enough away and SC puts ZZR down. They bicker a bit hehe.

    - It starts raining and they run to get shelter in a forest. With actual trees, so it’s completely dark. They dry off in Daisy’s treehouse.

    - 3 days later it’s still raining and they’ve run out of food. Thankfully XL can get them edible fruits from around.

    - ZJ takes out a javelin to crack open a giant chestnut. When asked how she got the javelin, she cheerfully explains that when she was staring at it on a shop’s display, a man (…pedo) bought it (javelin = candy?) for her and asked for her address, but they moved out of the hotel the next day so she doesn’t know if he looked for her.
    SC: ……….

    - They roast the chestnuts haha.

    - They go back to the original campsite and find DH there. They’re surprised because no matter what, it shouldn’t be him since the book was already in his hand.

    - ZZR suggests he probably took precautions as he suspected what the other faction would do. Now both sides probably think that the book is in the other’s hands, not suspecting it’s in SC’s group!

    - ZZR wants to steal the map and split off from the expedition. Aren’t they tired of this scheming factions?

    - SC distracts DH while ZZR steals the map.

    - SC roasts DH for sacrificing the soldiers and tells them they knew all the deaths were due to their plotting. Their hearts are tired and don’t want to continue journeying with them. “I hope to see these soldiers still return to their home and loved ones instead of being betrayed. Even the death was unclear and their bones not left.”

    - I made a mistake, there are 3 groups (DH, Dr Yang, Zhao Xin (idk who this is, he just got mentioned suddenly)). After DH realises the map is stolen, he contacts the others. They don’t believe that SC’s goal is also Wuling and that the book is with them, thinking that it’s just a ploy.

    - After more than a month, SC arrives at the beach near Wuling. But they can’t get past the sand (too porous) and they can’t see Wuling at all from the coast.

    - The book mentioned a specific time, but they don’t remember the date of the year anymore since it’s been too long.

    - They wait. After some days/weeks they find that DH has caught up. He has a submarine thing. They decide to rob it.

    - XL uses a whistle to attract small animals to the soldiers’ camp. They got the submarine but then don't know how to use it lmao

    - They coerce DH to bring himself and some technical soldiers to operate the submarine for them.

    - DH plans to explode the nuclear bomb in the submarine as a last resort. But then SC uses Sound Heart to interrogate everything out of him. Poor guy is outclassed

    - They find the island on the right day. Everything on the island is a normal size. Unfortunately, the task isn’t completed. They search the whole island for a few days but haven’t been able to find anything to complete the task.

    - But there’s one place they haven’t searched – underwater.

    - They find that the island is made of metal, and there’s a number engraved on one side. They search around some more and finally found an engraving, “Wuling”.

    - Mission completed.

    - The island is actually a ship named Wuling. It’s said to be mankind’s origins. Probably, it was a ‘Noah’s ark’ to save humanity from destroying itself and the environment. Everything on the ship was shrunk, including the humans on the ship.
the best part of arc 2 is Xia Lin and her summons, honestly

    Next world:
    - Back in real world, back to real world drama. SC completely forgot about the “group date” and he agreed to his roommate’s request without realising.

    - Worse is, when they got to the café, they saw FX (the artist guy with a crush on SC) there too. FX approaches SC and SC decides to make things clear.

    - SC tells FX that his crush is just infatuation. Didn’t FX’s crush start because of his (SC) body? You just want to sleep with me. After all, how can it be real love if you haven’t even talked to me? Once you experience more things, you’ll realise that it’s just an infatuation. (old man SC is rearing its head)

    - FX thinks that although it started like that, after observing SC talking, laughing, etc (me: stalking, you mean) he doesn’t think it’s just wanting to sleep with him.

    - But SC feels he’s explained enough and return to the dorm.

    - Of course, the next day rumours of them blow up~ Someone took a photo of them.

    - ZZR calls him but SC rejects the call. ZZR is dejected and thinks of course, it’s not like he has anymore qualifications to ask him about this kind of thing, right?

    - Not much else. They go to the next world.

    - ZZR summoned SC, and Kay (the elf). The new summons are berserker Caswell, and shadow thief Bach.

    - ZZR’s new teammate is a foreigner named Sol. Title, “Discipline Zen Master” (MTL). He used to get ancient Chinese setting like SC and kept getting mistaken as a monster hahaha

    - His summons are: Blood Taoist (Xue-daoren; 血道人), Copper Monk (Tong-toutuo; 銅頭陀), Master Yunsheng (Yunsheng-dashi; 雲生大師)

    - The last summon is a player, An Doguang, “Star Warrior”. He’s a beautiful but short-tempered teenager.

    - Ando is a Japanese surname and SC mistook him for a Japanese and he blew up.

    - SC asks isn’t his title related to interstellar warrior? Like Gundam (mecha) or something. But no, it’s not (“As if! I haven’t even seen any mech!”). He accuses the system of also thinking he's Japanese, because his powers is related to something Japanese. (Idk he doesn’t actually explain. .....I have a feeling it’s probably magical girl power.)

    - Their task is to kill the remnants of the Guangming (light/radiance) family. There’s around 20,000 people to kill. Time limit 3 years.

    - 3 ways to detect the Bright Family: they are very good-looking, have a horn on their forehead, and also the players have a map that indicates the targets in red dots. (GPS~)
    - They enter the ruins of the “City of Glory” in front of where they appeared and killed some people.

    - Then they follow the map to another city with a high concentration of the targets. Here, the family is very famous and they’re being sold at an auction. (I thought they’re holding an auction, but NOPE)

    - When inquiring for news, they notice that the people talk about that family with a strange malice and excitement.

    - Also, the people here are very strange and creepy. They all seem to be defeated, exhausted, apathetic, etc.

    - The auction house is very lax, only checking their forehead to see if they’re the Bright family.

    - The people are all well-dressed, but again, creepily defeated/numb/exhausted/dull-faced. They’re so thin their gorgeous outfits seem to be hung on skeletons.

    - They get to the group of Bright family to be auctioned off. These people, after seeing their foreheads are clear, immediately become disappointed and hopeless. When SC’s group kill them, one of them actually tells them to kill them quickly, as if eager to die.

    - Someone comes into the storage area, so ZZR uses a portal scroll to hide them to prevent alarming people.

    - Although, in this world everyone seems to be normal people, including the Bright family.

    - After the guards, the city owner also comes in. The city owner is a tall Westerner, that looks ‘normal’ compared to the other people. His eyes are blind and he’s led by his very small and thin younger sister, who has a completely numb wooden face.

    - SC suddenly realises what’s strange about the city – there’s no children at all, not even teenagers.

    - The two people who came in are confused why someone would kill the Bright family. Then the girl curses that, “They should have died when they are born instead; else, they should have lived in torture, just like we used to! How can they die so easily!”

    - The guard actually remembers SC’s group faces, including even the littlest details. So they have to escape immediately at night without even getting supplies.

    - They figure out the difficulty of the task: killing the target will make them the enemy of the whole world, because none of them want the Bright family to die easily.

    - Unfortunately they were careless and their appearances probably leaked to other cities already.

    - ZZR says that there may be a silver lining: if the people know their group is too strong to stop, they might gather all of the Bright family in one safe place, so their task will be easier.

    - They make camp for the night.

    - HAHAHAHAHAHA I WAS RIGHT ADG IS A MAGICAL BOY! “The power of the stars, transform!”
ZZR guesses that probably all his summons are cute magical girls lmao

    - Thankfully he doesn’t change into a girl and his clothes are pretty normal, though it’s a white princely costume.

    - One of his spells is a Star Boat, a portal-boat-house thing (with a cute little girl voice) that looks smaller than it really is (hence "portal"). The house is like a fairy tale house with royal décor, etc

    - SC suddenly feel that he’d rather have to transform all day if he can have this comfortable bed!

    - It even has running water. SC is even sadder at his own skills.

    - SC hunts for food, then he and Sol roasts the food. They see how good e/o is at it and commiserate with e/o over the toughness of living in the wilds lol

    - Next day they go to the next city. There’s no news of them here, it seems like no warnings was spread. They probably think only that group of Bright family was their target.

    - This is because in the normal humans’ minds, there’s no way humans could have true goodwill for the Bright people. Even if any Bright people saved/helped humans, they still look down on humans as low and dirty creatures. The two races are completely incompatible.

    - The city owner from before thinks that those killers (SC and co.) are quite stupid. The person he’s talking to, like him, seems normal (i.e. not stick-thin), and even quite fat. However, his body is actually damaged inside because he was experimented on by the Bright people.

    - The city owner is Calles, the fat guy is Husuo, the little girl is An Qi. (all names are pure MTL)

    - They get news that there’s another set of murders of Bright people.

    - Husuo says he’s going to find General Bick to get wanted orders for SC’s group.

    - When the wanted orders are released, SC’s group has managed to kill ~4000 Bright people. The problem is now they can’t disguise themselves because their temperaments are too different. They don’t want to kill innocent people except their targets.

    - They have difficulties getting news and decide to use some memory-erasing spells/items from the game shop to capture a local and use them to get news. (because none would willingly help them, considering their hatred of Bright people). Yunsheng (Sol’s summons) has a technique to wipe memory and control a person.

    - They go the Bayard city. Although humanity is united now, there’s still social strata of nobles and civilians. But slavery is banned here. The king used to be a slave of the Bright people too.

    - SC, Sol and Yunsheng (who’s a creepy evil monk that wants to get a child to use, and also enjoy leading people to commit sin, but insists he’s a strict practitioner of Buddhism) enter the city at night to find a target to control.

    - SC find a group of important people (an Archbishop, etc) discussing their group. The people disperses and SC follow the bishop. He overhears the bishop’s plan to use SC’s group to unite humanity into believing in the Church’s powers and Gods, so they can become more powerful. After all, only their Holy Knights can counter such strong people.

    - SC kidnaps the bishop once he’s alone and brings him back to interrogate.

    - The other two kidnapped the son of the city owner and an aristocrat.

    - The bishop tries to make a deal with them, but they hand over the three locals to Yunsheng instead. He pokes them with needles to control them or something. It's pretty much torture but in such a way the victims believe their pain = their happiest moment ever. Super creepy. It takes a night.

    - SC feels depressed watching Yunsheng do his evil thing. This whole task and world depress him. ZZR apologises for bringing him into this kind of task.

    - Because the mission is so shitty, ZZR and Sol both summoned summons they don't usually use, who are more "evil" (except Kay), because they don't want to let more honorable/just summons have to do this kind of dirty work.

    - Some discussion about evil, etc and what they’re willing to do for the mission. Yunsheng questions why they’re so squeamish. It’s not like they haven’t done terrible things for the task. They think: yes, but if possible, they don’t want to do too evil things, don’t want to just be a ruthless tool for the mission. That’s all.

    Continue arc 3:
    - SC’s group use magic camera to peep on the Church’s Knights. They wear heavy armor with magical inscription for almost impenetrable defence, yet they’re still very flexible. However, all of them are mute.

    - Their group also got info from the aristocrat they kidnapped about the other group of knights (Iron and Blood Knights) under the King. Not much, but the guy talked about them with fear so there’s something shady about the Blood Knights.

    - They choose to attack the stronghold where the Bright people are kept at early morning before dawn. The city owner’s son spilled that the guy guarding at that time usually guards alone, so it’ll be easier.

    - They solve the normal guards easily and get to the 2nd layer of defence, i.e. the Holy Knights. The holy knights discover them but the bishop (who’s still mind-controlled) give the order to not tell other groups. They don’t feel strange because they don’t want the Iron Blood Knights to steal the kill from them. The knights all obey the bishop’s orders and gather in one place to intercept them.

    - ADG imprisons the knights and stays behind.

    - They get to the next part, but suddenly they are surrounded by the Blood Knights! Turns out Yunsheng betrayed them.
    (……..Dude. Not cool.)

    - ADG is also a traitor! He was the one that tempted Yunsheng to betray. He… wants to experiment with killing them all and see what happens if he’s the only player left in that world. Would he be able to do anything he want? “This is the life I want! I am the real protagonist!”
(SC and me: god, this chuunibyou.)

    - Sol, SC and ZZR all consider ADG too naïve, thinking he can kill them with such a rough trap.

    - Sol was actually not an upright person before the game, but because of the upgrade route he chose, he slowly changed and became more benevolent. Similarly, SC and ZZR have also changed due to the game. None of them are naïve, and they've long expected to encounter a situation like this.

    - The same with ADG, he was probably distorted thanks to the dark fairy tale worlds he’s experienced
(me: yeah, it’s not happy-go-lucky magical girl, I forgot to mention that. He mentioned before he got the star boat that he had to sleep in the streets etc and couldn't even get proper rest because bunch of fantastical creatures that loved to feed on the darkness would prey on him)

    - The place they’re trapped in, due to the gathering of too many Bright people, has become a spot that bans magic. It’s extremely disadvantageous to ZZR, who uses magic.

    - Sol is also disadvantaged because his martial arts aren’t directed towards combat; his is more defense-oriented. They may not be able to kill him, but he wouldn't be able to fight back against so many people either. ADG completely dismisses SC due to thinking his abilities is similar to Sol’s martial arts. So, in truth SC isn’t restricted at all.

    - ZZR calls bullshit on ADG, saying that the ban is due to the spell array engraved into the floor. There probably used to be supernatural powers in this world, hence they still have this spell array.

    - A knight coldly replies that those dark wizards are long gone, and now they will also be.

    - SC smiles and stamps on the floor, breaking it. Knight guy is horrified; it’s impossible! Even the Last Great Battle of The War couldn't scratch this floor and array!

    - SC easily holds a knife to the knight’s neck before he even realises SC has moved. The knife slid through the mithril armor to his neck. That knight is the captain, the strongest of the Bloody Knights, but was defeated so easily. ADG realises he underestimated SC.

Unlike Sol or ZZR, who look like tough warriors, SC looks more elegant, even weak. But actually he’s the strongest of them.

    - Some higher ups – knight, the bishop – step out to negotiate with them. They can let them go but SC can’t kill the knight captain. ADG meanwhile flees quickly.

    - SC and co. ignores them and goes into the inner room, closing the gates behind them. The knights don't dare to follow and hope they won't figure out their trick/plan. SC and co. find that the room is empty. But from the map, they know that the Bright people must be here. They figure out that the Bright people are probably underground. Also they realise that ADG didn’t tell the locals that they have the map.

    - They killed all the 5000 Bright people but leave the knights alive, and then teleport out.
    - Sol says that ADG saved him in the last mission, hence he trusted him. ZZR and SC are wary of Sol. After all, the friendship contract doesn’t solve much. Like ADG who easily breaks the contract because he has enough points.

    - Sol takes out a Blood Spirit Restraint. It’s even more expensive than the penalty points, but it can restrict up to 5 people. All their lives will be tied together. But not in a one person dies the rest die way – instead, as long as one person is still alive, the rest will stay alive!

    - More accurately, any fatal wounds will be shared between everyone, so that the wound will be much less severe. So unless everyone is injured at the same time, the danger is much less.

    - ZZR chuckles and suggest to SC that they can use a loophole. His summon, Lance the battle angel, is a tool that can never be killed. So if they use him as the 5th person, they can stay alive no matter what.

    - ADG probably thinks that the system wants them to kill e/o until the last person standing, but SC thinks that he’s probably wrong, considering the game offers this kind of thing that can be life-saving as long as you cooperate. Although he still doesn’t know the aim of the system.

    - ZZR says he’ll ask Lance in the next mission. Also, they need to find a way to ask Xia Lin (player from last world) for her opinion.

    - Sol suddenly mentions, don’t you guys know you can summon partners in the real world? Same rules, only 4 summons, if any dies you can’t summon again in that world.

    ……..They really didn’t know!

    - They decide to wait to use the item in the real world later (4 players + Lance)

    - Their travel is way harder now without ADG’s magic boathouse. Plus, ADG will probably try to kill them, so they’re even warier.

    - From the map, they see all the Bright people are moving, being gathered together in one place. ADG is probably behind it. He asked them before if they had enough penalty points, and know they all have enough. So, he wouldn’t choose to scatter the Bright people to make them fail the task.

Instead, he’s gathering all the Bright people as bait and setting a trap. They decide to check it out anyway.

    - They stick to travelling to small villages. These villagers don’t get news from the city and are also happy to trade blankets/warm clothes with them for animals they hunt. Also, they were considered so lowly even the Bright people didn’t bother to enslave them. After SC always share their hunts with the villagers even during winter, they became friendly to them.

    - Snow starts falling, so they take refuge in a small hut in the village.

    - In summer, they arrived at the Bright people gathering spot. It’s strangely not a guarded fortress, but a ruined city. They see ADG’s trademark childlike fantasy stuff in the place, but zero locals. Probably, he betrayed them too.

    - ADG is childlike but cruel. Just like the fantastical worlds he’s been to that’s full of beautiful anime style, all the cruel and evil things are understated. So the transition between good and evil is very simple for him.

    - They go closer. It’s a “Stars Amusement Park”, with black mist shrouding it. It’s something straight out of Sailor Moon (said by author, not me)

    - They take a break at a nearby house. ZZR sends Bach and Kay (as insurance to prevent Bach’s betrayal, probably) to inquire for news in a nearby city.

    - At night, SC has strange dream while asleep. He fights to wake up and sees a strange white mist drifting out of the others’ bodies. He wakes them up with water.

    - ZZR realises the whole city is not just dead, but even the animals are completely gone, even mosquitoes. Probably the amusement park can suck out vitality, and sucked out everything in the city (humans, etc). The more it sucks, the stronger it becomes.

    - They retreat to the nearby forest. In the park, ADG sits at a pirate ship ride. The Bright people are seated on the ride, but they all have dull expressions. The pirate ride giggles brightly at ADG. ADG muses that SC and co. really have strong vitality, it’s too bad he couldn’t finish stealing it.

    - Bach and Kay come back with news that most cities nearby have also become ruined. They can’t get any news except for the rumours of the “Devil Land” suddenly appearing.

    - They decide to use the backup plan: cooperate with the locals. After all, ADG is also a threat to the locals. His park is in the centre of the mainland and is steadily sucking away the vitality of the land.

    - King Gardes invites them to the capital. The place is impressive and the people, though still stiff, have hope on their faces and are more normal. The group feels relieved and is cheered up to see a normal place after so long.

    - The king cooked the banquet for them. He used to be a slave chef. So, he hates holding a feast. This is his sincerity to them. He asks them to show sincerity in return and explain things.

    - They reveal that they have to kill the Bright people else they will die. Also, that they come from a very distant continent. Nobody else from their place can reach here without huge price. So, there’s no need to worry that there’ll be another Bright race that will come to enslave them.

    - King Gardes leads them to the only survivor of the ruined city of the amusement park, Constance. Constance used to be Gardes’s mentor. Due to his teachings, Gardes decided to rebel. However, he suggested they kill the Bright people, to prevent them uprising in case the Gods return and help them. Gardes wanted to keep torturing the Bright people, so these two fell out with e/o.

    - He survived because he was a plaything of a demigod Bright person. The demigod forced him to eat and get grafted with the demigod’s flesh, so his vitality is much higher than normal people. He has white hair but looks like he's younger than 30; in reality he's 60+. Constance saw the Bright people gathered and tortured on a large ship ride in the park. Also, the park only sucks vitality when people are asleep.

    - ADG let Constance out to send a message to the king that he (ADG) will only stay for a few years and won’t really threaten the king, so there’s no need to cooperate with SC. But Constance didn’t tell the king because he wants the Bright people to die.

    - ZZR notes that the Iron & Blood Knights also ate the demigod’s flesh, didn’t they? That’s why they’re more robust and strong. Constance says yes, they ate the corpse of that demigod.

    Been a while, sorry~
I got distracted by other stuff
    End of arc 3:
    - The blood knights and holy knights encircle the park. ADG thinks that with so much humans appearing all at once, it’s troublesome for even the park to suck their vitality.

    - SC, ZZR and Sol drink potions given by King Gardes that will allow them to stay awake for 10 days. Then they drink invisible potions ZZR redeemed from the game shop. Their summons stay behind with teleport scrolls (held by Kay, the most trustworthy).

    - Entering the park, they hear music. It makes them feel sleepy. ZZR casts Silence. Unlike in most games, this spell makes the caster unable to hear anything. Sol and ZZR communicate with sign language, while SC as a summon can communicate with ZZR

    - Meanwhile, the pirate ship ride, which turned out to be the consciousness of the whole park, Uranus, has found the 4 people left outside the park, but not the 3 inside. It senses something wrong but because its intelligence is low (game balance) it can’t figure out what.

    - SC has searched the park and can’t find the pirate ship. He jumps up to a taller place and realises that a large space is folded in the centre to hide the ship.

    - They plan to touch a ride to attract ADG’s attention and make him reveal himself. SC looks at a carousel, which seems safe, only to be hypnotised by it. He shakes out of it and warns the others. ZZR buffs them with a “Will-Strengthening” blessing.

    - SC goes to test the roller-coaster out since he’s the only one that won’t die for real. It brings him into a dream-memory, the day when he broke up with ZZR. He notices much more details he didn’t realise at that time. Turns out he never forgot this memory, only deeply buried it.

    - SC walks into the bathroom of his “house” and breaks the mirror inside. This mirror was never there in reality. There’s an eyeball eyeing him from inside the mirror.

    - He’s suddenly back in the rollercoaster. It comes to a stop and he gets a card with a stamp on one of the grids, like a scorecard.

    - ADG walks out and says something. SC ruins his villain monologue: … Oh, what did you say? Sorry, we can’t hear you because we shut out all noise.

    - ZZR figures out that although ADG is very strong, he has a weakness – he can’t fully control the park. After all, SC safely got out of the rollercoaster -- why would ADG do that if he had control over it? So, ADG also needs to follow the rules here.

    - ADG says so what? It still follows what he says, and he calls out Uranus. The pirate ship appears.

    - ADG tells them the rules of the park – they have to collect 18 stamps and then can exchange any gifts. E.g., the Bright people.

    - ADG thinks to himself that human beings are creatures that prefer to follow rules, even if they don’t trust him they’ll be more inclined to follow the “rules”. Or, they will at least hesitate long enough for him to get away.

    - But actually he really doesn’t have full control of the park. For the last stamp, you need to defeat Uranus in its game, which no one has ever managed, including him.

    - ADG has his wand on him all the time, and a protective circle. He’s especially wary of SC. When he wants to retreat, he has to dismiss the circle array.

    - But then SC without hesitation rushes to him. SC: “Follow your rules? Roll your mother’s rules!”

    - ADG tries to summon his magic chains but SC disappears from his sight, only to appear next to the pirate ship. SC wants to directly destroy the Uranus!

    - He’s using all his internal force, his meridians to the point of bursting. The force is so strong whirlwinds form. ADG is pale as SC breaks the wooden mast of the pirate ship.

    - ZZR realises SC is going to kill himself to destroy the park. Even if he knows SC won’t really die, he still doesn’t really want to watch his beloved die in front of him, especially such a painful death.

    - SC laughs loudly and heroically as the pirate ship breaks. Hey, this world has really made him depressed. Even though the Jianghu was full of deception, at least there were still some good people. He can’t believe he misses the Jianghu that he used to hate and fear.

    - In this world, as long as you’re not afraid of death even the so-called rules can be broken. SC’s body starts oozing out blood everywhere and he disappears on death.

    - Sol kills the Bright people while ZZR kills ADG.

    Real world arc!

    - SC finds himself back in the real world. When he gets back to the dorm, ZZR appears and asks if he’s okay.

    - Their new countdown to the next world is way longer now. 170 something days. Sol also sent ZZR a text. His countdown is also long.

    - While discussing about the Blood Restraint, they forgot they were at the dorms entrance. They’re blocking people. Because they’re too serious, they forgot to converge on their aura and everyone’s intimidated by them. Everyone's also confused how these two know e/o.

    - SC is very happy to return to the peaceful and vibrant real world. His roommate asks him if he’s going to work in the summer like previous years?

    - SC denies. He and ZZR has to meet up with the others in reality. After ADG, he doesn’t feel secure even though he’s back in the real world, unlike previously.

    - Also, he doesn’t need to work anymore thanks to selling the game items. He even has enough money to buy a house (his old house had been demolished)

    - After exams and the semester is over. SC is waiting for ZZR when suddenly FX comes up to him.

    - Because they’ve been avoiding e/o, the rumors died down again. But now FX came up to him, it’s gonna cause trouble again. SC is not happy. FX apologises and want to say something, but then ZZR arrives. They walk away, leaving FX in the dust.

    - FX is sad. Some rich guy related to him appears and console him, telling him to give up on such an ordinary guy. His name is Shen Zixuan. FX’s mom helped SZX get to the position he has today, so he’s very good to FX since young. Even when FX came out and said he loved a man, SZX encouraged him to bravely pursue his love!
But now, seeing all of FX's heartache, SZX: ……….

    - He has his person tailing SC and ZZR, but then got a report that they’re not ordinary people. The tail lost them. It seemed like the two noticed him. They also can’t find their train ticket info from the rail system. SZX becomes suspicious of them.

    - In the train, ZZR says to SC that it’s necessary to wipe their records, in case ADG tries to find them. They don’t even know if that’s his real name, so they can't avoid him or hunt him down.

    - SC, ZZR, XL and Sol meet up in remote countryside. All of them are wary of e/o (Thanks, ADG)

    - Sol drives them to a small almost deserted town, and to an abandoned villa on its outskirts. It’s rumoured to be haunted. SC feels a bit chilled; ZZR holds his hand (AWWWW)

    - Sol already has his summons out, living in the villa. So there are lights on.

    - SC summons the twins (since he takes them away from their torturer when he summons them, they’re very loyal to him), ZZR summons Lance and Kay (Kay is not only reliable but also used to be his teacher, so he trusts him the most), XL summons Lilith the cat and the gray gyrfalcon.

    - They’re all nervous as Sol opens the door… only for a seven year old to run to Sol, hug him, and shout, “Dad!”
    All three: ………. ?????

    - They successfully use the Blood Restraint. Funnily enough, during the spell a bloody light appear above the mansion and the haunted rumors become fiercer later on.

    - They’re all finally relieved that they can at least trust e/o a bit now. Sol explains that he wants the Blood Restraint because…. That kid really is his son, that he summoned from his (the son’s) world.
    The three people: ……………………….. ??????????????????????

They’re not forbidden from forming relationships in the world, but they’re bound to leave ah! Heck, when does he even have time to get a son? The missions have time limits! Also, isn’t he a monk??!

    - Sol explains a fox demon bewitched him to get his blood or something, then… the Buddha lotus became a son (something about him committing sin, I didn’t get it). He killed the fox demon, but he can’t leave his son behind to be confused by the evil sects or demons. So he summons the kid to stay with him in the real world.

    - The real reason he wants to make Blood Restraint is because unlike the three with peaceful lives, even in the real world Sol used to be a mercenary. Before the game, he’d killed many people. The system pitted him lol. A ruthless mercenary had to become a peaceful monk.

    - As he got stronger, he left the mercenary group to take care of his son. But because he left when he got stronger, the group thinks he betrayed them. So they’ve been hunting him. And Sol wants them to help him protect his son.

    - SC: … I knew it! There’s no way he paid for that Blood Restraint item for free!

    - Sol reassures them. One of his summons (a doctor) was killed by the group, and Sol killed a lot of their members in return. So, for now, the mercenary group isn’t a big threat.

    - Sol has a separate Blood Restraint with his son to ensure his safety.

    - Sol’s other summons are Wu Kong (a monk) and Hong Yi (drunken fist master? Idk he’s just super drunk something).

    - Lotus (Sol's son's uses an English name) being a kid tries to befriend Lance (AWWWWW) who he thinks isn’t much older than him. WK goes to put Lotus to sleep but Lotus takes Lance’s hand and wants to sleep with him.

    - WK is a powerful martial arts master but was betrayed by his temple and had his reputation ruined. His son was also killed. He and Sol used to be friends, so Sol summoned him to help him out and he can also help take care of Lotus.

    - All the players and summons drink beer and chat about their lives. This is the first time they’ve actually sat down and gotten to know e/o properly.

    - Sol is Norwegian, though he doesn’t know much about Norway. After his mother died when he was young, his dad took him away and started him on the mercenary life.

    - Meanwhile, XL was born in Los Angeles. She also had a tough life, before following her aunt back to China since she had no relatives left in the US.
(btw, her name is either Xia Lin or Charlene, MTL says either, but also her characters 夏琳 is a proper Chinese name Xia Lin so I’m going with that)

    - SC realises that all of them have terrible family lives. Is this how the game system picked them?

    - Now, XL opened a bookstore in China. But she doesn’t rely on this to make money. Like SC, she sells items from the game shop and has a stable customer base.

    - All of them has a longer countdown to the next world now. Sol proposes to use his connections to the underworld to take up some tasks here. It’d be dangerous if they let their edges dull in this peaceful world with the longer countdown. Plus, there’s still ADG.

    - They can choose the tasks to pick up (i.e. they won’t be forced to cross their morals). The real world is also not as dangerous as the mission worlds. They all agree.

    - SC, ZZR and XL thinks on who else to summon. ZZR decides on Iris – in her world, she has to dedicate herself to the Light God and is completely isolated in the Holy Church, unable to step out at all.

    - SC summons CQY (swordswoman). She’s the strongest he has. Also, every time he summons her, she always has a sense of being liberated. Because in her world, her family keeps leeching off her and oppressing her (because she’s a woman)

    - XL summons Daisy. The travelling treehouse is a must-have!

    - For the last ones, all three open the summoning shop. The real world isn’t as dangerous, so it’s more important to get someone willing to live in a new world. They choose to not pick any yet.

    - They talk about how to get ID cards etc. The famous hacker Sol knows is female~ (I love this author and their numerous cool female characters)

    - The hacker also wants to join their group, so Sol will introduce her to them later. Although she doesn’t like people knowing her real identity, in a mercenary group, everyone has to know e/o true faces. Because to bet their lives in danger they need trust.

    - They all disperse to rest. ZZR and SC shares a room. It’s a bit strange because unlike the mission worlds, this is the real world. He can’t keep a distance from ZZR anymore.

    - ZZR asks SC if FX really likes him? SC says he probably just appreciates his body.

    - ZZR thinks SC underestimates his own charm. The game worlds have changed them. ZZR used to be very frank and honest, while SC used to be more hesitant and indecisive. But because of the worlds they were in, ZZR is now more wise, silent, and full of calculations. Meanwhile, SC is more heroic and forthright.

    - Next day, they’re all going out. ZZR, SC and even CQY can drive, but have no driving licenses unfortunately.

    - AAAAAAA I’m tearing up at their (player and summons) bond:

“It turned out that this is the real world big brother lives in,” Shu Lousha said, looking happily out the car window. The town can’t be considered bustling, but it still makes her feel very pleasant.

“Yeah, there are many interesting things in this world. I can take you to these places one by one in the future.” Shi Chu’s mood is very good.

Cheng Qiu Yan suddenly said, “Would we never have to go back to our own world?”

“If you want to go back.” Shi Chu was a bit surprised. “But I know you—”

“I don’t want to go back,” Cheng QiuYan firmly said, then laughed. “Thank you.”

Shi Chu finally breathed a sigh of relief. He showed a sincere smile to Cheng Qiuyan. "No one here will force you to do what you don't want to do. If you are really tired of this world, you can end your life here and return to your own world. You know, the time flow in the world you are summoned to is different from your own world."

In other words, even if they go back, they will find that they were only gone in their own world for a short time.

"It won't happen, we like it here." Zhen Jia turned her head and said.

Shu Lousha also looked over and repeated Zhen Jia’s words for emphasis. “Yes, we like it here.”

It’s not just novelty. They like the relaxed attitude of those on the road; they may also have joys and sorrows, but at least they know their lives are assured in this very peaceful place. Their eyebrows reveal that kind of comfort; they never feel that their lives are threatened.

      How nice.

    - ZZR has a bit more trouble convincing Iris. She’s really faithful to the God of Light and feels guilty leaving her world. ZZR convinces her that since she can leave the world, then it must have been permitted by the Light God, so she doesn’t have to worry.

    More real world:
    - Sol says they’re going to meet his hacker friend. XL asks if the hacker can help her track people who stole the items she sold. The customer’s not too happy with her refusing to resend the items.

    - …..Welp. Apparently, only SC and ZZR are normal peaceful people. XL isn’t a normal person either. Some customers who knew her real identity have tried to make “trouble”, but they have all failed.

    - The hacker is an actress filming an ancient costume drama in a remote place nearby. No wonder Sol brought them to that deserted town.

    - The hacker is Zhao Ting, a 2nd/3rd tier actress who’s famous as a vase actress. She’s only famous for being very beautiful and having a good body. She doesn’t bother challenging any tough scripts either.

    - ZZR thinks no wonder she can escape suspicion, people always have a prejudice against beauty after all.

    - They introduce themselves, more wariness from e/o, etc. ZT explains that being an actress is a very good cover. Not just because her appearance is deceiving, but also she travels a lot for filming, and it’s hard to track her down. And outside of filming, if she travels to escape authorities she can just post selfies to make it look like she’s on a holiday.

    - And ZT wants to join them because… she’s been spending a bit too much lately. She used to be more famous, but now she’s fallen in popularity and her spending can’t keep up. Plus, she only survives on filming. She doesn’t do any commercials, endorsements, or dinners with bigshots. She has no sponsors and isn’t famous enough to attract viewers, so even for filming, she doesn’t get high enough pay to cover the costs of maintaining the life of an actress (makeup, skincare, clothes, assistants, managers, drivers, makeup artists, etc)

    - SC uses internal force to shock her into giving the truth and asks if she really wants to join. She says yes, SC confirms that she’s honest.

    - Afterwards, the group sets up base in Shanghai. They get a shell office building. The summons are all acclimating to the world.
    - Their first mission is in Hong Kong, to get back a kidnapped kid. Only SC and ZZR go. XL does the scouting using sparrows to spy for her, and ZT gets info through hacking.

    - SC uses ZZR’s old nickname as his codename (Rui-ge). ZZR is shocked and happy to hear that nickname being used again.

    - They finish easily and want to get food… only for XL to tell them there’s a lot more kidnapping tasks to deal with. They have to get KFC at the airport and then fly abroad.

    - Also, SC as a poor person, is shook that they earned tens of thousands in less than ten minutes.

    - They come back to China in 3 days (one-way flight takes 10 hours so most of the time is just wasted on flights :blobxd:)

    - Sol gives them the first big task worth 5 million USD. Though, it’s also too easy for them. But let’s just take everyone there. It’s in Las Vegas, so it can be a vacation too.

    - The twins and CQY are mesmerised by the airplane. CQY keeps looking out the plane window at the clouds in a daze, completely ignoring the guy trying to flirt with her. Most of them aren’t sitting together because everyone wants window seats haha.

    - Their mission is to bodyguard a guy, but he won’t arrive until the next day so they can just relax and have fun today.

    - The twins, CQY, Lilith and ZT take another task, a missing case.

    - ZZR and SC gets put in the same room… but it’s a couple room. With one bed and rose petals spread all over hohohohoho :blobsmirk:

    - Some awkwardness. SC sees a jacuzzi in the bathroom and is reminded of the time when they were young and exploring e/o bodies… He rushes to finish his shower.

    - They have A Moment when going to sleep. ZZR asks if they can get together, but SC doesn’t reply and pretend to fall asleep.

    - Next day, Sol, SC, ZZR, Kay and XL (+Daisy, as a wooden hairpin in XL’s hair) go to the airport to receive the boss, Cawthorne. Kay has trained in firearms now and is their expert for guns/sniping

    - Cawthorne isn’t satisfied with SC, ZZR and XL who look weak. Sol invites the boss’s people to test them. SC is in a bad mood, so he smiles and beat them in a flash.

    - Cawthorne isn’t offended and become very interested in SC. He dismisses some of his original bodyguards. They’re much more inconspicuous now, with the weak-looking XL, SC and ZZR (thanks, Asian baby-face). SC thinks that the suits they have to wear is very annoying and really restricts his movement.

    - When they’re right across the hotel, snipers attack. SC pull Cawthorne down, ZZR uses a shield spell. Kay kills 2 snipers with his own sniper rifle (which he aims in like one second, on a moving car; they're all OP) and XL’s gyrfalcon kill the last sniper. Cawthorne’s secretary, Liv, is shook.

    - They get off to walk to the hotel. In the lobby, assassins pretending to be hotel porters try to approach but get caught by them.

    - Before going up to the top floor, Sol asks ZT if there’s any trouble with going to the top floor suite. ZT says the elevator is fine, but the camera at top floor is broken so there’s probably an ambush.

    - SC and ZZR goes to deal with the ambush. They take the guns from the ambushers to sell/add to their own supplies.

    - In the room, Cawthorne confronts Liv. Only she knew he would be staying here. They gave her a higher price to kill him. She throws a grenade (carefully standing far away from SC) but ZZR easily catches it.

    - Liv runs. Cawthorne is furious that they aren’t catching her. XL smiles sweetly and says they can, of course, for another 1 million. After all, they’re only paid to protect him, no?

    - Cawthorne says he’s not reassured staying somewhere Liv arranged for him, why don’t they suggest somewhere else? But Sol just reassures that there’s no need. Since he’s hired them, they’ll completely ensure his safety for these five days.

    - They keep countering assassinations as Cawthorne meets up with a bunch of important people.

    - Sol tells ZT to completely erase any footage (to not reveal their powers).

    - ZZR uses a (protective?) spell on Cawthorne. ZT thinks it looks just like casting a spell in games – what the hell is this?

    - Cawthorne asks if it’s superpowers, but Sol says they’re only small tricks. ZZR is pretending to be dumb to English lol

    - XL leads them through Las Vegas alleys while some people chase them. Cawthorne asks if she’s lived in LV before? XL glances at the wild cat leading her and doesn’t answer.

    - SC is a bit excited but apprehensive about this kind of life. He’d never considered himself any different from ordinary students before. But after Sol, his life did a 180.

    - Also, ADG is still a looming threat. They haven’t found him. His name is also fake. (me: I’m wondering how much resources would be needed for ZT to hack some security cameras in malls, parking places, etc and run a facial recognition program. I guess the scope for that is too large).

    - They finish the bodyguard task and discuss the next one. XL decides to pick up another task alone to bodyguard some jewellery in transport from thieves.

    - SC and ZZR tells the rest the last people they want to summon. But they have no fighting ability.

    - SC wants to summon an old man known as The Old Man of the Sky. He’s knowledgeable in a bunch of things, medical, geography, astronomy, etc. It’s rumoured he can also read people’s fate.

    - ZZR wants to summon a spatial magician (instant teleportation eyyy), Master Valerian. He’s too obsessed with spatial magic so has no fighting ability. Plus, he lost his legs and uses a wheelchair. His teleportation uses magic crystals, so even if this world doesn't have spatial magic energy they can still use the teleportation. This guy also has a magic crystal mine in his space ring, so they don’t need to worry about not being able to use his magic here.

    - They return home first. Sol buys a house near SC’s university. Fu Xi calls SC. SC rejects his invitation to meet. ZZR smiles and calls out loudly to SC, and SC hangs up.

    - They prepare to summon Master Valerian in the basement.

more real world, where they continue to be ridiculously OP:
    - On the other side, FX is dejected and feels he should give up. He said to the girl who’s with him that SC seems to hate him, plus he heard ZZR’s voice. He also felt that ZZR looks at SC as not just friends

    - The girl has a strange expression when hearing ZZR’s name.

    - These rich families all have relations with e/o. FX and this girl, Zhang Mingyan, are cousins.

    - FX asks if she has any relationship with ZZR? She explains that ZZR is the child of her dad and his ex-wife. Once, ZZR’s caretaker died and ZZR came to find her dad. Her dad just gave him some money and told him to leave.

    - She used to hate him, but back then she felt a little pity for that lonely back. She remembers it was raining that day, and ZZR had to walk back from their villa area. Her dad is very good to her and she doesn’t want to criticise him, but even she feels it’s harsh to do that to a child.

    - FX tells her how ZZR is very well-liked and famous at his university, which is also a very good university. ZMY thinks that her dad probably doesn’t even know. Even ZZR’s living expenses are signed off by the secretary.

    - FX: “He’s also their school grass. In fact, because of this they always compare us together.”

ZMY: “Haha, how can anyone compare to our school grass~”

FX: “But in the heart of Shi Chu—”

They both fall quiet. Yes, in the heart of SC, ZZR is higher than him.

    - ZMY calls her brother, Zhang Mingrong, to talk about ZZR. He asks if she wants to meet ZZR, but she thinks ZZR probably wouldn’t want to. He probably hates their family. Their family has completely blocked out ZZR’s existence after all.

    - In fact, she thought too much. ZZR has already forgotten them and consider them strangers.

    - They summon Master Valerian, who’s super excited by this new dimension with all these strange new things. ZZR even prepared books for him to study. He has zero qualms staying in this new world.

    - With Valerian, they can go anywhere in the world (thanks be the Coordinate System) and return to the house. The summons go set up the transfer array at fixed points around the world. These can only be used by people with magic marks. If someone tries to force it, they’ll be transported to a void and can’t come back.

    - Sol, SC and ZZR chill around eating takeaway and drinking. SC asks about tasks and Sol jokes that he doesn’t have to be so eager to take up more tasks. Sc replies “What can I do, I’m too poor!”

    - Unlike with the game system tasks, they’re very relaxed and have no tension.

    - Sol gets a call from his friend in Interpol. After finishing, he calls XL and tells her they need to give up the jewellery task. There’s a young master from the Laghman family who went missing when hunting in Africa, near jungles and swamps. It’s very dangerous so a lot of mercenaries aren’t picking up the task. So, they’ve been offered a very high price.

    - The next day the four players, Kay and the twins go to Africa. The Interpol guy, Reid, picks them up. The driver is his colleague, Apps/Apes/Aps (idek). They both look sceptical at the young-looking group.

    - The Interpol originally weren’t involved, but they were tracking a criminal gang in Africa when the young master went missing. So the Laghman family has claimed that it was related to the gang and keep pressuring the Interpol. These two Interpol guys are Very Stressed.

    - While driving, they explain the situation. Laghman family is still hiding info from them to protect their reputation, so they don’t know much. Reid mocks that if only bones are found, the family probably wouldn’t even pay a penny to the mercenaries.
    - They arrive at the Laghman’s manor (probably a vacation house). Around twenty mercenaries are gathered here. They all look surprised and confused at SC’s group. SC is annoyed at how he’s treated as a minor here (thanks, Asian baby-face) when in Jianghu even the twins would be considered almost adults.

    - The handler from the Laghman family says after eating, they will all go together. Sol asks if their group can act alone. More mockery from some people that has bad blood with Sol.

    - The Laghman guy says they can, but only if another Laghman guy (Bill) follows them.

    - SC suddenly flashes and takes away a phone from a mercenary. “Sorry, no photos.” (With his very limited English)

    - He deletes the photos but Sol takes it and says that usually these photos are uploaded automatically. So, he’ll be keeping the phone for a bit.

    - The situation gets tenser but the Laghman guy reminds them of the mission at hand.

    - They eat a meal first. Other mercenaries all eat lightly to prevent excessive salt intake making them thirstier in the following days. Their food supply isn’t guaranteed after all. But SC’s group don’t bother and gorge on food (they have XL~!)

    - Some mercenaries look them up only to find fake info. They plan to dig more (I’m really worried about ZZR and SC’s schoolmates)

    - They set off after eating. Bill tries to convince them to follow the crowd, but ZZR starts (gently) interrogating him instead.

    - They split off from the main group. At the jungle, they get off. The Interpol guys had followed them. They hide their cars.

    - Looking at the jungle, Bill finally feels fear and after some prodding spills some info. After Jeff (the young master) disappeared, bodies of two people he recently met were sent to the manor. The rest of Jeff’s friends were also kidnapped. Their ransom was paid and they were sent back, and then they immediately left to go back to US.

    - Reid says it’s the modus operandi of Red Snake Lich, the criminal gang they’ve been tracking. He’s famous for kidnapping groups of people at a time and asking for ransom to be paid within 3 hours. But they don’t have much info on him because the rich families don’t like to talk about it. Because whether they pay the ransom or not affects their reputation either way, these cases often get swept under the rug.

    - The Interpol blocked the airport, so Lich should still be in the jungle.

    - Bill explains that they didn’t get a ransom for Jeff. The friends said they were still together when kidnapped, but they seemed to hear him fleeing at night. Jeff often comes here to hunt so he’s very good at surviving in the wild. He once bragged he should be able to survive at least one month on his own.

    - They enter the jungle, with the 3 normal people protected in the middle. XL leads the way.

    - ZJ notices a pretty snake and SLS kills it. She strips the skin and give the insides for the Gyrfalcon to eat. The 3 normal people watch in stupefied horror.

    - They’re too slow so SC and the twins build a stretcher to carry Bill (which they plan to use for Jeff later). SC and Sol will carry the two Interpol guys.

    - Finally, they can move faster. Reid is amazed at the speed – they’re almost flying. Are they really humans? Bill almost falls off and gets scolded by the twins to hold on to the stretcher frame tightly.

    - They stop for a break at night. ZZR puts a sleep spell on the 3 guys (who sleeps in sleeping bags) and then they pull out Daisy to sleep in.

    - The next day, they find the Lich. Reid wants to call for backup, but they moved too fast – he has no clue how long backup would take to arrive. Sol stays with the 3 normal people while everyone else will go clean up the criminal gang.

    - Sol asks Reid how much this gang’s bounty is worth? It’s not too high but it’s still 1 million.

    - The three are shook at seeing them cross the river by walking on water.

    - Except, actually they aren’t. Because Kay and ZZR can’t walk on water, XL called on the fishes to form a fish-bridge and they’re running on that. (bro that's even more impressive, how tf u walk on fish, those poor fishes)

    - Eventually they solve the mercenaries. XL is standing near the river on the opposite side. Sol gets the 3 guys to sit on the stretcher (Bill has to sit on someone) and carries them while swimming to the opposite side.

    - XL says there’s good and bad news. Bad: Jeff isn’t here. Good: The mobsters just cooked, they have food to eat!

    - XL explains that they took up so much time because they had to tie up everyone individually. They don’t know which one is Lich. They’ve piled all 57 criminals together. But hey, whatever, let’s go eat! They have roasted deer!

    - BL is stupefied. In half an hour they not only cooked fish soup, but also roasted the deer, and also tied up all the criminals – wait a fucking minute, would these criminals stand nicely and let them tie them up?? How long did they take to beat them up??
    Bill: …. My god.

Hi I'm back again. Finishing off real world stuff
    - Back in China. Bad news for SC’s roommate, because when he was on a date with his gf, who else but ADG IS IN THE SAME CAFÉ.
(Fck I knew they’d be in danger.)

    - But thankfully, ADG doesn’t think that SC would bother putting himself in danger for friends he’s only known for a year. He laments to his summons (a cute Lolita-dressed girl) that it’s too bad neither SC or ZZR have good relations with families. Their closest relation is e/o.

    - ADG plans to catch either of them alone. Or maybe Sol. Unfortunately, he doesn’t know that they’ve already linked themselves together.

    - Meanwhile, SC and co. is off finding Jeff. Interpol guys called for backup to apprehend the Lich gang.

    - Jeff is found. He was almost dead from starvation/exhaustion before ZZR rejuvenated him with holy light. ZZR thinks that he’s quite an outstanding person for being able to survive for so long. No wonder the master of Laghman family values him so much.

    - Bill sees how horrible Jeff looks and bursts into tears. Everyone notices that he shouldn’t just be normal friends with Jeff. He sees their looks and says don’t think too much. He explains that they’ve been friends since childhood. They were a couple for some time but broke up years ago.

    - SC is awkward and notices ZZR looking at him.

    - Bill continues: their other friends gave up on Jeff already. He came here with the excuse of gaining the trusts of the Laghman Master, but in reality he just doesn’t want Jeff to die. He can be a normal friend to Jeff for all their lives, as long as Jeff isn’t away from him for forever.

    - A few days later, ZJ finds that the other mercenaries are near their spot. 4-5 people died and their situation is bad. Worse, since they didn’t complete the task they will only get a little recompense.

    - The Laghman family arrive and take Jeff away on helicopter. Jeff tries to get Bill to come with him, but Bill says he’ll see him in NY. If Jeff wants to thank him, they can drink together later.

    - The Laghman pays Sol their reward money and also give them the mansion. After this happened, Jeff probably doesn’t want to come back here anymore.

    - ZZR suggests they change it to a luxury resort hotel. There’s amenities like swimming pools, banquet hall, etc already. XL volunteers to get some interesting animals/plants for display. They can use the Laghman family name to advertise too.

    - XL says she can summon someone as a manager. She’s been considering this great elder, Busby (MTL), for a while. He was a great elder of a city and also manager of his world’s largest jungle city. But then he was betrayed, etc etc. He’s very knowledgeable, trustworthy and also has fighting strength.

    - Sol says they can let Zhao Ting teach the elder about the modern world until he adapts.

    - Let her use the portal? Can they really trust her? They ask

    - Sol explains that when he had no choice but to let ZT babysit Lotus, Lotus accidentally slipped some spiritual power into her mind. So, he can detect it if she has any evil thoughts. Other than that he can’t influence her at all, so Sol has never told her.

    - Sol and XL gets busy dealing with the hotel stuff while SC and ZZR are idle.

    - ZZR asks SC to give themselves a chance again. SC thinks back to the dreams he’d had ever since the last world. He kept being reminded of the day they broke up.

    - He’d thought he didn’t love ZZR anymore, but it turns out he’s still embedded in his heart. He realises he didn’t hesitate to reject Fu Xi, and even feels uncomfortable, because in his heart everyone feels wrong except for ZZR.

    - SC… asks for time.

    - ZZR is relieved, surprising SC, and SC asks why he doesn’t mind the hurtful things he’d said? ZZR says he’s used to being hurt.

    - If he thought he was not qualified to be with SC, he would have long asked for SC’s forgiveness. He has never let go of MC. He can’t look at anyone besides him.

(Boy is considerate though. I didn’t mention most of these, but multiple times when he was jealous he stopped himself from interrogating MC because he knows he doesn’t have any position to ask)

    - SC: Let’s think about it more. Also, if we can’t get together, I don’t think we can be friends either.

ZZR: From the start, I never wanted to just be friends… because when I’m by your side, I want to kiss you all the time. I think—

Yes, a “friend” who wants to go to bed with you all the time, can you really call it a friend?
    - Everyone goes back to Shanghai, where Sol has bought a house. They plan to go to the amusement park.

    - Unfortunately, Hui Ling (Lotus’s Chinese name) has pre-school, so he can’t go.

    - SC, ZZR, the twins, CQY and Iris go to the park. They attract a lot of attention and envy because they’re too good-looking. ZZR goes to buy tickets.

    - One of the onlookers is a group of second generations, which include Zhang Mingyan and Zhang Mingrong (the siblings from before), and their cousin Zhang Mingqi.

    - ZMQ is jealous of ZMY and ZMR, because they’re the main family while he’s just a side one. Also, the siblings are geniuses and highly regarded by the old family head.

    - Someone mentions that “Hui Ling” was the one that wanted to come to the park. SC’s attention is attracted by the name and saw a little girl with them.

    - FX is there too, and also saw him. He shouts out SC’s name’s happily. SC is not pleased.

    - ZMY is surprised to see that SC is quite masculine. His face is only quite handsome (85%) but he has a very chic, fresh and masculine temperament. Considering his slightly delicate name and FX’s never-ending praises of how perfect and beautiful he is, she thought he was a feminine beauty.

    - FX talks with SC. Fu Hui Ling is his little niece. FHL is angry that her uncle isn’t paying attention to her, but ZMY tries to be a wingman and distracts her with going to the carousel.

    - ZJ also got curious and excitedly asks SC what a carousel is? Can she also ride it?

    - ZZR comes back and is annoyed to see FX. What is he, a sticky candy?

    - He also recognises ZMY and ZMR from FX’s group. It takes a while for ZMY to recognise him too (she only saw him as a teenager). SC senses ZZR’s emotions are a bit weird and recognises that the two looks like ZZR’s dad.

    - ZZR ignores them and their group leaves to enter the park. FX and ZMY wants to follow but their group is missing a member (Teng Ming) and they have to wait for him.

    - A girl in their group, “Feng Yu”, says he probably went to toilet. TM suddenly comes and apologises for holding them up.

    - As they walk to the park, TM falls behind ………..And DUN DUN DUN,
“Teng Ming” says quietly, “How interesting, so this guy likes SC, hmm?”

“Feng Yun” steps to him and says, “What does the master want to do?”

    - Yeah, it’s that magical boy chuuni creep, ADG. I know all good stories need villains but I don’t like creeps like him. Can they please kill him soon.

    - ADG finds it interesting and plans to “help” FX see that SC is not an ordinary person.

    - Meanwhile, SC gets a foreboding feeling but brushes it off (HELLO FLAG)

    - The twins are playing happily. Iris and CQY is smiling and discussing the world. They’re happy to see how much freedom the women in this world have. Although SC has told them that it’s not completely gender equal yet, it’s much better than their own world. CQY thinks back to her little sister that was abandoned by her family, even though they’d always said they loved her. Iris thinks about how in her world, the paladins and knights can travel everywhere but nuns and saints like her are closed up in churches.

    - Man, I can feel these women are going to be amazing when they go back to their worlds.

    - CQY says that what’s even more amazing is that this world is always changing. Unlike their worlds, where things remain the same for decades.

    - They discover that ZZR and SC has disappeared and smile. They already knew their relationship was unusual.

    - ZZR really did drag off SC to a water ride. Their conversation is very within normal friendship levels. Except ZZR is holding SC’s hand.

    - From afar, FX sees them and is heartbroken. ZMR (ZMY’s bro) sees them too. Unlike ZMY he doesn’t have any feelings for this half-brother, but after actually seeing him he feels a bit unusual.

    - ZMR urges FX and they walk to SC and ZZR. ZZR is calm because he really treats the Zhang family as strangers (it’s been thousands of years for him).

    - ZMR is a bit younger than ZZR, so he tries to pull up his momentum but falls short. In ZMR’s eyes, ZZR is muscular, tall, and has strong momentum. Coupled with the things he’d heard about ZZR being top student, basketball, school idol, etc. ZMR suddenly feels a bit lost/complicated/admiration. He’d always been the best and eldest Zhang son who was on a pedestal. The other Zhang children don’t even dare to play with him. But now he's met ZZR who's as good or even better than him.

    - "Feng Yu” also come to them. The five of them take the ride together. On the ride, both FX and ZMR tries not to scream because they don’t want to embarrass themselves in front of SC and ZZR, respectively.

    - When they’re splashed with water, suddenly they appear to be transported to another space. Instead of a narrow river, they’re in a boundless ocean that looks like a mirror to the starry sky above. ADG walks over in his princely suit.

    - ZZR is calm: “Oh, I thought you would be hiding like a cowardly mouse and didn’t dare to come out.”

    - SC wonders what this trick is? And enchantment? Also, Ando, perhaps you are actually a Japanese? (Because they haven't been able to find him when searching in Chinese database etc)
(me:…. Sigh. This author and their Japanese villains)

    - ZZR breaks the enchantment and “Feng Yu” falls out of a corner, screaming. SC rushes to ADG. ZZR warns SC that it’s a fake! The fake ADG expands and bursts like a balloon, splashing dark venom.

    - SC already leaped high and though ADG is fake, Sc caught the girl he summoned.

    - Reality returns. FX and ZMR wonders if that was all fake, only to realize that “FY”, SC and ZZR had all disappeared. (I didn’t bother describing all the screaming they did during the fight)

    - They find the three already standing outside the ride. FX wants to talk only to find that SC is very different, much sharper like a cold blade, and he stays silent.

    - The girl commits suicide. SC and ZZR runs off to find Iris, but it’s too late. The girl disappeared back to her world.

    - FX and ZMR catches up (they followed ZZR, who’s slow enough for FX to see lol) only to see the girl disappearing. ZZR and SC converge on their aura and joke about, saying to stop following and bothering them, and also that nobody will believe you guys if you tell them what happened.

    - SC and ZZR’s summons also appear. They lost ADG but it’s not too bad. At least he only has 3 summons left now. Then they go off to eat.

    - FX is still head over heels with SC, if not more so lmao. Love is blind indeed

    - From afar, ADG is observing them. He’s coughing blood – losing the substitute doll did damage to him. Unfortunately he lost too much for such a small gain. He still underestimated them too much. Especially, ZZR, whose ability is unpredictable.

    - ADG thinks that there’s no value left in FX and ZMR. SC and ZZR doesn’t seem to care at all what they think of their abnormal abilities. ADG plans to trick the “son/child of the forest” instead. (I forgot to mention this, but the word used for XL’s title can either be “son” or “child”, so most characters thought she’s a guy before meeting her)

    - The two groups (SC’s and FX’s) happen to eat at the same restaurant (I mean, it’s an amusement park… there’s not a lot of restaurants). FX and ZMR are in a daze and keep staring at SC’s group.

    - Some of the guys get interested in the girls on SC’s side. ZMR warns them not to provoke them, but this just made the 2nd gen more interested.

    - Suddenly ZZR walks over to them. ZMR is nervous. ZZR asks for his phone number. One of ZMR’s friends get offended by ZZR’s casual/sloppy/cold attitude but is restrained by ZMY (the sister)

    - ZMR is completely obedient/weak to ZZR, which his friends feel strange about because although he's not cocky he’s actually the most prideful.

    - ZZR goes back and tells the rest that he got their contact, they can investigate “Teng Ming” (ADG’s persona) now.

    - Although SC also has FX’s contact, ZZR didn’t want SC to talk to him so that’s why he got ZMR’s number.
    - The summer break passes. Their group has become famous in the mercenary world.

    - SC and ZZR go back to school. One of SC’s roommates volunteered SC to play the flute in the welcome feast.

    - He also set SC up with a female student to dance while SC plays the flute. (God I’d deck this kind of well-meaning but overbearing friend)

    - ZZR also got conned into being the male emcee for the event

    - Meanwhile, Lotus/Hui Ling has entered primary school. The twins also enter an expensive private school. SC feels they’re too naïve – to the point of cruelty, at times – and it’s better for them to get education and socialize more.

    - Their class has two boys from FX’s group – Lu YongXi and Lu YongZhen/YongDuo/YongYu. Another boy is in the year above.

    - ZT hacked stuff and found that ADG/TengMing had deliberately approached LYX. He changed some records and transferred himself to the dorm next to LYX. ADG also investigated several names, including LYX, on the dark net.

    - So, they tasked the twins with digging out info.

    - Sol suspect that like the other players, ADG has a troubled family life. He might be an illegitimate child. The names he investigated, including LYX, all have similar characteristics. He may be trying to find a person.

    - SC and ZZR went viral again thanks to the welcoming party, but ADG never acts. Also, nobody in the mercenary side believes that it’s really them –their background is too normal for the ability they have. Want them to believe these are their “real” identities? The fakery is so high it could go to heaven!

    - Time is running up. SC has to go to his mission world soon, but none of the others’ countdowns match his. He’s either going into the world solo or with ADG.

    - Sol says either way they will team up with him in the world. SC thinks that maybe the game system intended this all along: for players to team up with e/o. Sol was correct to use the Blood Contract, which allowed them to have enough trust in e/o to achieve this.

    - XL says that after teaming up with them, she no longer feels as nervous about the tasks. SC agrees with a laugh.

    - SC enters the mission world.

OK . read the novel and loved it :blobpopcorn_cool::blobpopcorn_cool:. There were not many romantic moments in it as it focused on mc and his friends as a whole . Nevertheless it was very exciting and very different from usual novels.:blobokhand::blobphone:
    But I have a question -
At the end before the extras, when they receive a countdown again suddenly, and the chapter just ends , so is there a continuation or that's supposed to be an open end?:blobunsure:

Also do we get to see more about Sol's romantic life ? Like ,is he
gonna end up with that actor or there is a possibility of father son pairing? Cuz going by how possessive and smart he is plus his powers as a spirit I think Hui ling may have an upper hand?:hmm:

    Poor_Hero and Shizun like this.
